It’s freshman year and my mom helps me move cross country from Colorado to Nebraska, unload my stuff from the mini-van in giant rolling laundry carts into McGloin Hall, my home for the next nine months. McGloin is supposed to be just for sophomores but all the freshman dorms filled up so they stuck me in there, too. It’s half-reward, half-punishment, newer and nicer but isolated, tucked and hidden by deep green deciduous trees on the far end of campus.
Like new cellmates, my new roommates and I have each other, at least. We’re marooned as the on the second floor, what’s supposed to be a common room but apparently doubles as overflow for wayward freshmen. Brien and John are from Nebraska, close enough to leave campus for family dinners, visits

Girls are always swooning over Sam, at the gym with his wife beaters I’m constantly making fun of, around campus with his Birkenstocks and curly brown hair. So it’s no surprise when I start to see signs of Bianca swooning over him, too, laughing longer at his jokes, meeting us for lunch in the dining hall, texting on Friday nights to see what we’re doing. I’m swooning myself over Jasey, Bianca’s roommate, a Minnesotan and cute as a button, so it seems all perfect, Sam and Bianca, me and Jasey, until late one night we’re in Kiewit, as usual. Bianca’s room as usual. Me trying and failing with Jasey as usual. She gets a text from her friend and wanders off, drunken giggling down the hall. I watch her go and Sam pulls me aside at the doorway and tells me I should go, …show more content…
He looks me in the eye, this time no glaze. Calm.
Dude, what’s going on?
I tell him, tell him what Bianca told me. After I left that night he shut and locked the door. They kissed, which was okay, what she wanted. He tried to go further, push her down but she stopped him. He kept going and she tried to stop him again but he grabbed her by the wrists. In the end she fought him off, or at least enough for him to finally give up, but if he thinks he can get away with shit like that then—
He stops me, shaking his head. Of course he would deny it. I knew he would. But something in his face makes me question it. Something genuine, or close enough that I can’t tell the difference. What he says happened is the exact opposite: Bianca tried to kiss him but he didn’t want to, knew she was too drunk, tripping and swaying around the room. He tried to put her in bed but not like that, he was just trying to help. He finally got her on the futon and she tried to pull him down with her but he laughed it off and left.
He holds that look the whole time he’s telling me. He can’t believe she would say that. He honestly can’t believe it. I’m not sure I believe him, or her, or anything, but whatever adrenaline I had before is gone. He pats me on the shoulder, old
We both got up and grabbed our stuff and put it into the backpack. Dom slipped his sunglasses on then we made our way to find a place to eat. That’s when I saw it. I stopped in my tracks in front of the place and grabbed Dom’s arm. Sushi Palace was the name of the cute Japanese restraunt. Dom is whiling to try new foods all the time and that’s why he agreed to eat here too. We sat in a little booth next to the window. The waitress gave us both a water glass and then told us to wave her over when we were ready. Then Dom decided to go change into his regular clothes, and he told me to order for him whatever.
He said that his friend, Jesse Oliver recieved a phone call from Paulina on 11-2-15 at approximetely 0020 hours. Dakotah said that he was with Jesse in Dakotah's dorm room when he got the phone call from Paulina. Jesse got off the phone with Paulina and told Dakotah that they needed to go over to the Delta Delta Delta house because Paulina said she cut herself and she was bleeding and she couldn't get it to stop. Dakotah said they arrived at the Delta Delta Delta house approximetely 0030 hours. I asked Dakotah if Paulina said anything to him while he was there. He said that she didn't talk to him alot. He said that he physically cleaned up her arm and did basic first aid. He said there were about seven cuts on her left arm. He also said they were deep but he didn't think they needed stitches. I asked him if she made any suicidal or homicidal comments to him and he told me that she talked with Jesse after her cleaned up her
As I woke up that faithful Monday morning, rain fell in torrents from the sky. It had been raining all weekend, and it would not stop no matter how hard I begged. My family and I had stayed in a hotel near to my new college for a few days before the move-in day. I felt apprehensive about the whole situation, and the rain did not help this feeling. As the upperclassmen loaded up my belongings onto carts, my parents and siblings followed me up to my new dorm. Then, as I opened the door for the first time, I flinched at seeing my new room. The room was tiny compared to my bedroom at home. On top of that, I am only able to utilize half of the space.
She was asked if he said anything to her while he touched her and she said he didn 't. I asked if she ever asked him to stop. She said she didn 't say anything
Soon, I was unpacking my items into one of the hundreds or maybe even thousands of SUNY Oswego dorms. When I entered room four twenty-four sudden shock hit me. I thought, “I have to live in this for the next year?!” I was startled and felt the need to back away from this “prison-like” room. I remember my favorite part of the college tours was when they showed us the dorms. I would
Anderson Hall has brought together many unlike people and serves as a home base for its inhabitants to bond and have a family away from home. The term family can be defined in many ways. For this composition, family will be defined as a group of people related through shared characteristics, such as going to Snow and living in Anderson Hall. Anderson Hall is the farthest south on-campus residence hall at Snow College. Since it is exclusively sleep studies, residents of Anderson Hall have just their beds, desks, and TV’s in their rooms. About half of the rooms are shared and have two roommates living together, and the other half are private rooms with solely one student housed per room.
One day after school, Reid just thought it was time to find a lover. So he went on Snapchat, Twitter, and he even tried to get in girls Dm’s on Instagram. But later on that day he found the one. He searched all night finding a girl and he did it. He found a nice Beautiful Blonde, he was in love. He hit her up on Snapchat and Reid asked her out. She said yes, so Reid was very excited. He asked her out on a date tomorrow night, and she said yes. Reid was so excited about tomorrow night he made a reservation at the best restaurant he could find, Red Lobster.
Sophomore year is going to get tougher as you go on, but there will be many room to have fun, like the assemblies. Dont give in to video games, like last year. I will not play League of Legends or any other games until I finish my homework and studies. My days of being a procrastinator master is over. Remember back when you stayed up till 3:00 studying or doing a project at the last minute. Doing everything the day they are assigned makes your life more stress free. I wouldn’t be tired and have a mood swing while doing my homework, and then sleep for a few hours, and waking up feeling like poo.
Sophomore year in general has been treacherous . Now it's become harder trying to manage work while studying for finals, Eoc and keeping up with work. Nowadays, I find myself wishing to be back in elementary school. A memory that has been engraved to the deepest part of my brain is one of my teachers telling me of the importance of flushing and cleaning up after the mess that I create. I can’t believe that I once thought that elementary school was difficult. Let’s ignore the fact that my English wasn’t that good in elementary school, now that I’m actually reflecting on the time that I spent in elementary school, I can truly see how simple everything was. For example, I had to write my weekly vocabulary words thrice. But, this is the real world. We aren’t given the chance to go back in time just because we wish to relive certain periods of our lives.
That makes it hard to breathe. That summer, the instructors and the upperclassmen put the cadets through physical tests that test their problem solving and leadership skills. His first ride in a military jet was during his freshman year. He flew in a Lockheed T-33 (109-115). The summer before his sophomore year, he went through survival training. It was called SERE training, which stood for “survival, evasion, resistance, and escape.” It was designed to teach them skills if they were captured, how to not be captured, and just basic survival skills. By sophomore year, Sully realized how all of the skills he had learned helped him mature. His sophomore year, Sully got an outstanding amount of flying experience and instruction. He signed up to
This year in Student Government has been a great time. All of our hard work and commitment has definitely reflected in our success and outcomes of our events. I have learned so much in such a short time. Since I have more experience now from Freshman year, I am eager for what is to come my Sophomore year. In order for this next year to be as rewarding as this past one, there are a few things I think we should do to make the transition of a new teacher as smooth as possible. I think if we adjust the commissioner jobs, are open to new ideas brought by our new teacher, and have specific goals set at our summer meeting, we will have no problem staying on track next year.
The next few days did not bring any fortunes either. Since orientation did not start until Wednesday, the chefs did not arrive until then. As a result, I ate almost nothing on Tuesday. I have always been loved, nurtured, and protected, but now that I am older, I recognize the time has come to face the world. I must deal with the good, the bad, and the ugly. Part of the good is my roommate, Zack, because he keeps the dorm room as a quiet zone forum by keeping conversation to a minimum, but announces important upcoming itineraries like quizzes and tests, and school has not even started. What is keeping Zack at STLCOP is buying a sports car when he finishes school. Something is keeping me here, too. As of yet, I cannot name “the Force” taunting me to expand the horizon.
He said he was just curious about girls and he had gone in and just basically touched them over their clothes while they were sleeping; they didn't even know he had done
He did that so i knock him out and took some of his blood and then i put him in his room so he won't suspect anything .
As I walked into the gym I heard the loud music squeeze my ear drum as I glanced at my friend Leigha. She was as nice as a fairy. She was at the snack bar, it was as big as a house. I also glanced at my other friend Courtney and my friend Andrew wiggling and shaking to the music.I was walking over to both of my friends and when my friend Stephen bumped into me he said,”Girl u look as pretty as a rose.” I said,” Thanks” then continued walking again. By the time I reached them Andrew said,”You look as cool as a rock star.”After that I said,”Thanks for the compliment and we galloped to the music.Once me,Andrew, Courtney Leigha, Stephen, danced until the dance was over. After it was over, we all went to my house to work on our homework while we listened to more music. When we sat down, Andrew purposely sat down right next to me cause he knew I was smart and asked me for help.Once we were finished with our homework, I had a big surprise for them. I brought out a big chocolate fountain that was pouring down like a waterfall, we also went into my backyard pool. Everyone went home after that, except for Andrew. He said that he wanted me to help him with studying for the test. Andrew left late at 10:00 at night on the weekend. Andrew said that he liked both of the dances. I couldn’t sleep later that night because it was storming outside and the tree stracted the window like a stray cot with nails. I went to sleep very early in the
