College Survey Response The college career survey is a tool used to unlock a student’s potential for possible career and college majors based on their interest and abilities. My survey revealed a career in fields such as law, medicine, and media. Suggested careers in these fields were, Administrative Law Judge, Audiologist, and Newscaster, respectively. While, I am currently going to school with the goal of becoming a Medical Doctor, I can see how certain qualities in each career field/suggested careers would play a part in my current goal. MY VIEWS While I was surprised at some of the suggested careers, as previously stated, I can see how certain qualities in each career field would play a role in my current career goal. While have
I have found out that my personality is a good fit for my career choice that I am interested in. I have learned that my ability to get a job done and being responsible will help be as being a diesel mechanic.
After taking the FOCUS 2 quizzes and completing the worksheet, I learned about a few of my career options. I have already chosen a degree plan, and know what direction I want to go in, but I am not sure of the specifics. The FOCUS 2 Career Exploration Worksheet helped me to discover some of those specifics.
For this research report I was asked to complete two surveys. These surveys were important because they helped me understand what type of career I would enjoy based on my interests and my personality. The first survey I took was the Career
With the variety of majors and interests college offers, the decision of choosing a career holds a heavy weight. There are many paths one can go to have a successful, fulfilling job for the rest of their lives; this is where college can explore a person’s likes and dislikes. From taking taking the self-assessment, it resulted careers that revolve around medical and/or as educators to help others. These choices seemed very very accurate and possible that I want to pursue. I have always been passionate of caring for others in some source. The four careers that I decided to further research are: occupational therapist, social and human service assistant, pharmacist, and veterinarian.
The objective of this survey was to find out what basic skills you have and what career needs the skills you have. In my opinion, I do not think this survey was completely accurate. One of the careers that matched my skills were an Air Crew Member which I would not like to pursue as a career because that is a job that you have to be extremely fearless for although I am not afraid of many things I am not fearless enough to be a part of the Military. Some of the jobs I found dreadful such as being a Travel Guide, Hotel/Motel Clerk and, Bus Driver. Although I didn’t like the majority of the jobs the jobs the survey suggested there were some jobs that I would not mind to do even though they would not be my first choice were a Credit Analyst, Real Estate Appraiser and, Insurance Underwriter. Even though there was a few jobs I thought seemed interesting, I still do not want to do them because I know that I want to do something fashion related such as Fashion Marketing or being a Fashion Trend
For my senior project I ventured into two different possible careers I held an interest in. I adventured in the art career field and am determining if would be a viable future. This project also helped me determine whether I wanted a future career with domesticated companion animals or wildlife, both of which I love but needed to determine a career focus upon.

I wish to receive this job in my degree's field. After receiving this job I wish to improve to reach a leadership role.

Obtaining a career focus is valuable in any college student’s lifetime; therefore, it would be profitable to meet with a career counselor to discuss occupational goals and interests. Moreover, involvement with the Focus 2 assessment is another contributing factor used to guide the career decision making process. The Focus 2 is comprised of five simple tests that will analyze compatible careers for the individual taking the assessment. Mr. Richard Glass, the career counselor that agreed to meet with me, believes that the work interests assessment produces the most promising results. For instance, my work interests fall under the social, artistic, and investigative categories. Through computerized analysis, I was given a list of occupations that would agree with the data received. The content of this paper will evaluate the results of the Focus 2 assessment, in addition to the major points discussed by Mr. Glass. Come the end of this paper, the reader will gain a better understanding of my work
For my Health Science 1 class we were instructed to choose 3 different careers. The careers to be chosen were a health care career, a career of disinterest, and a career we would like to pursue. I aspire to be a Cardiovascular Perfusionist because it would feel great to be able to prevent someone from dying pre- maturely. I dislike the real estate field because they don't make much money and they do entirely too much work for not much profit. I choose Neurology as my health care career because I like learning about the brain, how it works and how and why people get mental disorders.
For example, the student needs to “ensure their career choice uses their talents and passions, and they should also work towards a career that they are passionate about” (KCSE). Also, if a student wants to be a neurosurgeon for example, they “need to consider the job demand now and for the future.”(KCSE) They also need to “research the career for the starting salary, and see how many graduates got employed into that field after graduating”

The question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” meant so many things throughout middle childhood, adolescence, and was even relevant in adulthood. My interests varied from law, to education, and even construction for a period. It took most of my lifetime and lived experiences, up until very recently, to actually figure out, make a decision, and follow through, with my true occupational goals. This paper will examine my current career path and goals. It will investigate the results of the O*Net Interest Profiler in which I participated, and how they compare to my current occupational goals. Finally, it will discuss gained insights and further resources for future career exploration.
Finding a specific career path can not only be difficult, but it can also induce bouts of anxiety, anger, and sadness over a crucial part of an individual’s life. Settling on a career can be unnerving when thinking about the fact that this is the career that you spend thousands of dollars on in college, that this is the career you will work in until you retire. With this course, I’ve found that it has been easier to narrow down a goal towards finding a career. Through career assessments, different assignments and discussions, I have realized what my barriers and strengths are. Overcoming these and improving these skills or applying them to an actual career assisted me in narrowing my goal as well. I am now able to clearly see the advantages and disadvantages of my career goal and to think clearer about the next steps that I will take after this course.
