Being able to communicate effectively builds trust, respect, enhances learning and accomplishes goals. Within my job role the level of communication I have to uphold has to be one of paramount importance.   I have a role of great responsibility dealing with clients and their families or advocates, internal staff and external agencies.   Therefore, my communication has to be clear and concise whilst I am conveying instruction and information. In conclusion effective communication with children, young people and adults is fundamental to developing relationships. It should be remembered that whilst it is important for me to communicate effectively with others it is equally important for me to listen to others to further develop the relationships I have.

I do need to be aware that I will need to adapt the way I communicate with different audiences because different people all require me to connect with them in a variety of different styles, i.e. adult-adult, child-child, adult-child. By using effective communication I am able to help clear up conflicts, build harmony and overcome any communication gaps which, themselves can create conflict amongst people.

Communication is one of the most important parts of any relationship. Business relationships are no different. Effective communication is important in developing positive relationships with children, young people and adults alike. It is the central key to establishing and maintaining such positive relationships. It means listening, questioning, understanding and responding to match each individual’s stage of development, their age, personal circumstances and their needs. It is important for the communication to be on the same level as the person you are speaking to so that neither person seems to have more power than the other. Effective communication is essential in any business role. Relaying information within a company has to be effective, clear, and easy to understand to be successful. A good communicator has several reasonsfor being good. Ranging from knowing the information they are presenting to having the confidence in their ability to speak in front of crowds. Being in a state of nature allows complete privacy but lacks any sense of security. An individual is allowed to protect there belongs by any means they find necessary, but so can anyone else. An important reason why individuals agree to enter a social contract is for the protection from other individuals. However, when you agree to allow the government to provide protection an individual must also agree to give up two important liberties: the ability to use whatever force an individual finds appropriate to feel safe and the ability to have complete privacy. Under Locke’s point of view, when being in a social contract you still have a right to self defense however, protect for the society should be handled by the government.

When supervisors put into practice the tenets of the communication contract, employees are more likely to follow it as well and be more productive and engaged within the organization (Mishra, Boynton, & Mishra, 2014). A communication contract helps to keep organizational relationships and communication between people in respectful and professional manners. For instance, it creates an environment where employees must respect other, because there are rules where people’s relationships are based on organizational values.

The cornerstone to a successful firm is good communication. Without it, there is confusion, resentment, and a blurry vision for the direction the company wants to go. In order to ensure there is successful communication amongst the managers and its employees of the firm, a communication contract should be created. This contract establishes ethical communication and rules for which each individual is to follow when communicating with others. Aside from creating excellent communication within the firm, the communication contract creates long lasting benefits for the firm and creates a solid foundation.
