Which is more entertaining NBA or College basketball?
There are a lot of arguments on which one is better. However a lot of these arguments are very vague. For my argument I think College basketball is more entertaining than NBA basketball. The reason why I think that is, is because every player has a chip on there shoulder to make it to the NBA. They are playing their hardest and giving it everything they have and more. For example, in this years College basketball season most teams had amazing records and some didn't. For example, UCLA before this season was a team that was so bad, with a record of 15-17 and this year they got 31-5 they jumped so far up. Also, there are a lot of great players competing which were in the playoffs this

What I mean by this is that the NBA plays more fast pace, College basketball types of play is a lot more slow and composed. However when the games are close, then everybody starts playing a little bit more aggressively and little bit faster. The way College basketball is, is that they pass it around to try and move the defence so then they can find open holes and opportunities to score high percentage shots like lay-ups, dunks, and one’s or drawing a foul and shooting free throws. However, the NBA is more transition play, but sometimes they do play slow when they are up a couple points, they usually try to waste some time in the game so they could win easily. One thing is for certain about these two levels of basketball.
That is that both levels of basketball are very fun to watch especially during the playoffs. The reason why I say especially in the playoffs is because in the playoffs you compete for a championship and every single team from both levels of basketball want so bad. In conclusion I would still go with College basketball because they know they could increase their chances of getting drafted to the NBA by making it to the playoffs and competing then not making it and not competing.
What is your opinion on this controversial topic? And why do you say you like NBA or College basketball?

College sports also known as the greatest source of entertainment known to man this era. There are several types of sports ranging from non- physical to the most physical contact sports. Each sport takes sacrifice and dedication to be able to perform at your best knows matter what level. The NCAA is a million dollar business that lets student athletes show their athletic ability and skill toward other individuals. That is the main reason for the creation of collegiate sports, but not to downside the meaning of entertainment. Controversy of paying these athletes is a big deal at the moment. There have been many scandals of athletes receiving direct pay under the table that is not included in their financial aid or scholarship. Paying the
The game of football is clearly the most popular sport around the United States. The subject of college football versus professional football includes a topic of many debates among football fans across America. Each individual has their own opinion on which they prefer.
The NFL and college football have many similarities, most obviously they are both the same sport. Each side uses the same equipment and same rules for safety. On both professional and college levels, teams are all fighting for one goal, to win. Football is all about winning and teamwork.
It is officially basketball season! Do you know what this means? This means crazy fans going topless, painting their torso one color, incise a letter to spell out their team’s name, and excessive screaming. It is such an interesting atmosphere to be in. However, there is a difference between men and women basketball. What is the difference? Women and men basketball are different in so many ways. Even though their size, athleticism, speed, and strength are comparable they are less competitive, are not able to reach the same level of stability while men add an interest to the game.
I feel that college and professional sports share some of the same categories, college is just on a smaller scale than professional. Some of the expenses that both college and professional sports have in common are; travel, salaries, athletic scholarships (college), and facilities just to mention a few. The coaches’ salaries, especially football and basketball head coaches, has become one of the biggest issues in the last few years. These salaries create the largest expense acquired by most athletics programs. They average from $200,000 up. There should be a limitations set by the board as to how much they are paid. Same goes for professional sports. In my opinion, some professional players are over-paid. Although they are great at what
It’s basketball, the ball is the same, the hoops are still ten feet off the ground. Yet a lot of people still ask, what is the difference between college basketball and the NBA? Well at first I really had no idea what the difference was. Once I did the research though, I then realized how many differences there really are. The NBA has four quarters that are twelve minutes long and the NCAA has two halves that are twenty minutes long. Both of them get five minutes for overtime.
Secondly, there is a major difference between professional sports and college sports. “Students are not professional athletes who are paid salaries and incentives for a career in sports. They are students receiving access to a college education through their participation in sports...student athletes are amateurs who choose to participate in intercollegiate athletics as part of their educational experience, thus maintaining a distinction between student athletes who participate in the collegiate model and professional athletes who are also students” (Mitchell). The collegiate athletes’ incentive is the access to an outstanding education. College athletes playing a college sport is not a career or a profession. “The NCAA plays a critical role in the maintenance of a revered tradition of amateurism in college sports”(Ross). This quote is laudable because
Over the past decade, NCAA Men’s Basketball has gained an immense following; as a matter of fact, NCAA has reported record ratings in 5 of the past 10 Final Fours. College Basketball has gained what sports analyst over at ESPN, Stephen A. Smith has described as a “Cult Following”. Every year you see high school Phenom’s like: Ben Simmons (76ers - Pro), Jaylen Hands (UCLA – Collegiate), Kyrie Irving (Cavaliers - Pro), and Jahlil Okafor (76ers – Pro) attend these institutions; play a season of college basketball and then go straight to the Pro’s. So, why are these athletes attending college? Why spend 9 months at an institution playing for a team, all while not receiving compensation for your services; Risking injuries, and negative
The National Basketball Association, or NBA has grown up over the last few decades. Once on the verge of collapse, and unwanted by television, the NBA has rebounded to become quite possibly the most popular league in the nation. It was through television that the league finally established itself as a worthy opponent to Major League Baseball and the National Football League. The NBA got its first television exposure during the 1953-54 season on the long-since folded DuMont network. At that time, baseball was still the national pastime, and pro football was beginning to take the spotlight as the favorite sport. Even college basketball was
College athletes are not forced into playing the sport that they have devoted their time to during their years in secondary education. They continue to play into the college level for their love of the game.
Many problems going around about college sports and colleges athletes. Most colleges all over the nation allow the college to have sports but then there are some that don't. Being in a sport in college is just like basically having a job. You would need to be dedicated to this and not have much time for anything else. Practices can last anywhere from 4 to 6 hours a day just for one thing. Kind of crazy to think about something like this. Many people just simply don't have the time to do sports in college because they have a real job outside of school. This is different compared to high school because you would have time then and now you don't have much time for anything else at all. There are college athletes basically everywhere you go. Whether they play for universities or juts community colleges, it's all the same thing. The only big difference about this is the price differences. Universities are much more expensive then when playing for a community college so that's why people get scholarships.
Basketball and soccer are two of the most played and enjoyable sports in the world. They both have professional leagues that attract millions of audience. People can watch both of them on television, but also play them for recreation and health. Basketball and soccer games are interesting, good for the body, and healthy, but they are also different in many ways.
There are over 200 million unique viewers that watch football every year. College and NFL football is one of the major things that can cease Americans from thinking about all of the awful things in the world and unite people together. Certain things come with each league that are different and similar to each other. There are even some areas of both leagues that people most likely did not even know about either of them. These two notorious football leagues have many similarities and differences in the way that they are constructed and played.
Thousands of devoted fans eagerly watch their favorite sports players and teams year round. Some people watch professional sports, while others prefer college. The only difference between professional and college athletics is the lack of payment to student athletes. The National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) receives millions of dollars in revenue from college men's basketball and football, and college coaches of top schools are paid the same amount as professional coaches. Fans of both college and professional athletes can proudly show their commitment by purchasing jerseys or other merchandise. College basketball and football are commonly discussed topics on television and radio. College and professional sports are
