Every year I can’t wait to start watching football. I like Nfl games, but the NCAA is my favorite. Usually the NFL has the same good teams each year give or take a few, but each year NCAAF can be totally different. Most of the time Alabama (ROLL TIDE!) is in the top 5 along with most southern teams.
With younger colleges, emerges new sports programs, like the University of South Alabama (USA), a Division I, Sunbelt football team that started in 2005. As a
If you had a choice, would you pick a career where injuries are less frequent and less severe along with a better salary or a career where injuries are frequent and sometimes severe, and salaries are not as good. Anyone in their right mind would choose the first option. This will now bring me to my topic, professional basketball is better than professional football. Professional basketball is more dominant than football in three critical areas, injuries sustained, salaries, and the number of years played in the sport.
The game of football is clearly the most popular sport around the United States. The subject of college football versus professional football includes a topic of many debates among football fans across America. Each individual has their own opinion on which they prefer.
The game of football is being attacked. We see it every day in the headlines and on the news. The medical concerns are obvious. The game has taken more than its share of criticism. Even President Barack Obama said that if he had boys he wouldn’t let them play football. LeBron James publicly said no football in his house. So the question is asked all the time, Why would anyone want to play football? And why would anyone let their kids play? Here’s my answer. I believe there’s practically no other place where a boy is held to a higher standard then football. Football is hard, it’s tough, it demands discipline, it teaches obedience, it builds character. Football is a metaphor for life.
Football and soccer have never been really compared before, probably because alot of people think they dont have many similarities. But they actually have alot more in common that people think they do. Having played both sports myself i can tell you that they are very different in varius ways, but also very alike. It depends in what aspects you look at it that you can see differences or similarites. Off field soccer and football share different backgrounds. On field comparisons are never talked about but they actually have somre similarities. Yes football is more of a contact sport, and soccer more of a technique sport. But football does have technique as well, and soccer contact.
Regardless of rankings, each of the 64 teams are starting with zero losses. After all is said and done, the Michigan State Spartans looked like the best team in the country by seasons end. However, the truth about the best team will not be known until the final game concludes on April
The turmoil at Florida after Urban Myer left, the chaos that has been Tennessee, which has only recently been calmed by the inception of Butch Jones or the consistent underperformance of Mark Richt coached Georgia teams. However, although coaching is a factor, perhaps the true reason lies with recruiting. It stands to reason that the better players on the field will win. Yes, we all know of the team that overperforms. They play above their ability. In most cases though, when lined up across from each other on the line of scrimmage, the best player will win. This year, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida are all boasting top 10 recruiting classes, although Tennessee might be just outside. However, they have had two top 10 classes in recent years. Better players, an upgrade in coaches and a desire to regain dominance or at least relevance in their own conference is why this might be the SEC east’s
heart. I have been a loyal supporter of my local team since I was a
Athletes who play football share the same goal as athletes who play soccer: score the most goals to win the game. In football, there are two areas on opposite sides of the field where one can score points by bringing the football over the goal line. Soccer shares this same concept by having two nets on opposite sides of the field where one can score a point by kicking the soccer ball into the net. Also, both sports share the concept of having an offense and defense, and both sports each have eleven players on a team on the field at a time. These are only few of many similarities between these two sports, but in actuality, they are significantly different. The rules, rituals, and concepts of both sports distinguish
He’s at the fifteen, he’s at the ten, he’s at the five, touchdown! Football, the greatest sport to ever be played on God’s green earth. Not only is it fun to watch, but it is also a blast to play, right? Wrong. The biggest mistake I ever made as a child was playing Hudson Hawks football.
One of the most popular and dangerous sports inside high-school is, "American Football" some parents don't want to sign their teenager inside the sport, they believe it could lead to life threatening conditions. What parents don't understand is that it does more good than harm, it's better to start as a teenager to play these type of sports, to make the game familiar to themselves as they get older. When they get older and continue playing these type of sports it could lead them into getting scholarships, paying for their college, later they could even go for the big leads and go national, by playing for national teams. When playing national the players gets paid 44,000 thousand a game, which estimates to over 1.9 million per year, as you can
Football is often labeled as a dangerous, unsafe sport, but there are many good things that come along with playing football. In the past two weeks I have learned about the risks that accompany football. Many kids suffer with concussions and face injuries from the sport, which scares many people away. But, despite the risks and the unsafe label, I would allow my child to play football because it promotes health, builds friendships, and helps gain toughness.
As a centre midfielder, I need to do the job that ensures that my team
The history of football is interesting as well as exciting, from the first forms of the game ever played, to the multi million dollar organizations of today. The game continues to evolve and change with the times.
For as long as I can remember football has been a part of my life in some way, shape, or form. When I was first born my grandfather said that I was solid and built to play football. I used to throw the football with my mother when I was a toddler and she always told me that when I tried to tackle her I hit really hard. My first organized football experience was when I was five. I had just moved to Manassas, VA from Washington, D.C. in 1994. It was around fall and that was right at the beginning of football season in the area. I remember telling my mother that I wanted to play, so she looked for a local organization for children. She came across the Greater Manassas Football League (GMFL) and that is where I began to play the game I
