SJMS Vs. Stevens High School Saint John's Military School and Stevens High School are both very similar, yet very different. They both have multiple periods with different teachers, standardized tests, and both use similar teaching techniques; however, at St. John’s Military School we don’t go home at the end of the day, and we observe a military structure. Stevens High School is more civilian focused because everyone goes home at the end of the day.
The first similarity is that there schedules are very similar, only differing by 1-2 minutes at most. Giving teachers at both schools equal amounts of time to teach the material and gives students equal amounts of time to learn the material. However despite the similar class times and school
In addition to the comparison of schools, they have certified teachers in the suburban schools. They are more efficient in teaching and have good connections with their students. In addition, they challenged and often informed their students to be
Initially, the first major difference I noted in comparing my high school to Covenant College was each school’s sole purpose in educating the student
Another similarity is that the melody is repeated several times in both pieces. Yet another similarity is that both selections have moderate tempo in some parts of the pieces. One last similarity is that both selections include many major chords, meaning that the sounds tend to be
There are some that say it’s all about location, location, location. Iowa State is located in Ames, Iowa. Ames is a small city in the middle of Iowa. It’s about three hours away from where I live in Davenport, Iowa. Iowa is located in Iowa City, Iowa. It’s also a small city, but it is located more east than Iowa State. Iowa is about an hour away from where I live. The weather at these two schools are very much the same, but that’s because they are so close. Snowy and cold in the winter, and hot and humid in the summer.
I believe that even though students have the same opportunities and environment in the same exact classroom, they are all still not receiving the same education. This all depends on their mental capacities, the amount of attention they give, and if they understand the assignments and lectures. Everyone can have different experiences and take in different information even though being in the same
One similarity is that they both aimed to study friendships in children and to also provide a persuasive explanation into this. A further similarity was in their methods used for measuring their research, as both initially used a qualitative approach.
Another reason Westover and Darton are similar is because of the quality of the teachers. I believe that both schools have some of the most amazing teachers a school could have. During my sophomore year of Westover, I had this insanely intelligent chemistry
United States History, or U.S. History for short, is a course that explores the history of the Americas and how they were formed to come out the way they are today. At Clackamas High School, students have the option to take regular US History as well as Advanced Placement U.S. History (APUSH). Although the two classes are similar in content, the rigor and depth of information differ immensely between the two courses.
Although I went to Golden West Community College and Rancho Alamitos High School, they both have differences in camaraderie, campus aesthetics, and how it’s functionally ran. Golden West Community College is more difficult in building fellowship whereas Rancho Alamitos High School is more open to comradeship. Golden West is a larger campus and more funded, unlike Rancho Alamitos which is less funded and has a smaller campus. Also, Rancho insists in following rules, being told what to do. On the other hand, Golden West expects you to be responsible, not being told what to do. Golden West is a learning environment in which you think through and apply what you’ve learned; however, Rancho Alamitos is a teaching environment in which you acquire
What’s Saint John’s story? Saint John’s has many stories depending on who you ask. One story that people often tell is of how it went from an all-boys school to a co-ed school. Since its founding in 1845, St. John’s has moved all around DC depending on space. However, SJC has been located at its current location for over 60 years. Due to the fact that the near-by all girls Catholic High School closing down in the early 1990’s; Saint John’s took in the girls to make sure that they were still able to have a Catholic education. From that decision in 1991, Saint John’s became officially co-educational. The interesting part of this story is that instead of having multiple narratives as to why SJC became co-ed, the story simply is not told. The generations that grew up in DC when Saint John’s was strictly an all-boys school and every student was still in the JROTC program are not necessarily aware of this. Throughout, my time as a student there and people would ask me where I go, in response some would say “is that an all-boys school” or “wasn’t that an all-boys school”. Each time I was always surprised how the news of the school becoming co-ed had missed people. Regardless, not every story surrounding SJC is like that of course. Another story about SJC is surrounding who it was founded after. This story is something that every freshmen is taught through a book
I’ll start off by going over some of the things that are the same same between both school districts! First off, they are both great schools, they both go to at least 12th grade from pre-k! They also have calendars, food, sports, and activities. They both feed from more than one town, Dee-Mack has, Deer Creek, and Mackinaw in its district. Eureka has, Goodfield, Congerville, Davenport and Eureka in its district. They both even have their own websites, in general, and for
I would like to start off by saying both schools give extraordinary educational programs. Although, there are quite a few differences there are also some similarities. As of right now, I am going to give some differences about the teachers, the social system, and the food. I will also include some similarities throughout my discussion. I personally enjoyed my time at Lawrence County, but Co-Lin has opened my eyes to a brighter future.
Middle school and high school are alike in the aspect that individuals are receiving an education. Both groups go to learn many different subjects that vary depending on the student. Either way it is to ensure that each student is gaining an education for future endeavors. Both groups have many teachers that they encounter each day. That is a prime characteristic of school which truly makes a school function. The teachers teach, grade, and guide the students to help them create a firm understanding.
The quality of teaching and the expectations of the students differ from the two schools. Advocates of private school argue that the education received in one of these facilities is more valuable and
