Why people should avoid these convenience foods? i. Convenience food, or processed food, is commercially prepared food created as an easy way to get and consume. Most convenience food provides little to no nutritional value and have excessive amounts of sodium, sugar, and saturated fats. ii. People should avoid these types of foods, it is highly recommended for individuals with health conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, or diabetes to avoid these foods altogether. iii. Convenience food affects children lives the most. Actually, overweight children are at high risk of becoming overweight adolescents and adults. It places them at risk of the development chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes later in their life. iv.
