"One I know you didn't sleep in Darlene's camper because I had to go get something from out of there last night and you weren't in there. Two I don't see any of your friends here. So I know both if those are lies" He said. "Okay shut up. Levi came and got me. I slept at his house but on his couch" I said and lied. "Okay well don't ever get into bed with him because we don't need him getting into more trouble than he already does" He said. "I won't don't worry. I'm smarter than that" I told him. Then Levi came back holding a beer in his hand "Smarter than what?" He asked. "Smarter than not to sleep with you" I answered. "Yeah, you'd be pretty dumb if you did that" He said. "I know" I said while smiling and Isaac left then Levi sat down next
“I’d let you use my bed, but seeing as you didn’t let me use yours when I stayed with you, it seems only fair.” Kimberly knew he was only saying it in jest and she waved him off. She would sleep on the floor if he made her. The couch was comfortable enough anyway.
When they reach Estelle Louise’s driveway, Clemmy Sue eased the Ford into the entrance, and stopped thirty feet from her mailbox.
“Okay. Okay. Tell them I’ll be right there… No, no I was, um, I was just sleeping.”
Snow gushed its way into the breeze, targeting the Washington cabin that you and your friends resided in. You were standing next to Beth -- one of the Washington siblings that own the cabin. You released an inaudible sigh before resting your elbows on the window sill, focusing on the leaves that were blanketed within the snowstorm. You could practically feel Beth squint as you applied more pressure on the wooden sill, making it creak with age.
I look up towards the sky and see dark clouds rolling across the sky towards the west where the sounds of gunfire could be heard off in the distance. I look around the cramped bunkhouse and see the other prisoners. The bunkhouse is cold and smells of rotting flesh and human waste. The beds are made of cheap wood and thin cloth with some hay for a mattress. The guards walk in and start telling people to wake up. I slowly get out of my wooden bed out onto the muddy floor. My feet feel cold as they touch onto the earth below. My hands start to hurt from the cuts covering them when I try and get up. I see a man refusing to get out of his bunk near the entrance of the bunkhouse. The guards saw him refusing to follow their orders and dragged
For my trip to Louisiana I would bring along two of my friends. I would bring along Granddaddy Cain, because on car rides it is better to have Quality Company than to have quantity in company. One quality of his that I admire is that he is described as “tall and quiet like a king” (Bambara, 67). This quality is repeated twice in the story and is inferred from the description of his large hands. Another good quality is his manners in which he deals with the two men. He starts out nice and welcomes both men “like he’d invited them to play cards and they’d stay too long” (68). After Cathy describes how his coworkers would describe him granddaddy Cain. He then gives the two men a reason to leave by swatting at their camera and makes it hit the
I woke up at 3:30 to Addison screaming. "Your turn," I said pushing Carson. "I got her last time," he whined. "Well I gave birth to her so you go," I sassed. "Ugg," he groaned as he got up. He left and returned a few minutes later with Addie in his arms. "Addie girl, why don't you sleep?" I asked taking her from Carson. She just snuggled into me. "She had a full diaper," Carson explained. "Of course, she's asleep," I said looking down at Addison asleep in my arms,"I'm going to go rock her." "Babe why? You need your sleep," Carson asked. "I know. I just want some baby snuggles," I said getting up.

Walking down 7 Boyden Lane, I feel the unevenness of sidewalk. Each step is different from the last. Trying to avoid twisting my ankle from one of the cracks, that is filled with rustic green grass. As I keep walking, I hear my foot slowly step down on a leaf. Making the sound of a potato chip being eaten. Advancing forward, I soon come to a new street, surrounded by massive trees that hover over me. Enabling me to only detect little specs of the clear blue sky up above. The smell of cow manure reminiscing the air. The sun beating on my shoulders, as I hear an immense truck start to approach me. Passing me it kicks up dust into the warm air, making it impossible to see twenty feet in front of me. All the sudden my hair starts to move to the
"Now that you mention it, I don't think I slept very much at all," he lied. She didn't need to know his confusion stemmed from being in the wrong body.
“No, I know the truth now, they’re there.” Jonas whispers from atop his bed. I close the doors and flop down on his bed next to him, smiling.
When Sarah detained in Nauru, for 2 days, she didn't eat anything. She mourned for 2 days because the incident that happened in the ocean grieved her heart, for she considered how her brother lost. Shaza said to Sarah, "I lost my son, and I don't want to lose you also."
Amir and I went to a park one day that harbored a pomegranate tree. Amir said that he was going to read me a story. I was a while since Amir and I had spent time together. Since the incident I’ve been trying to spend time with Amir and ever since I felt like he was avoiding me. Every time I asked Amir agha if he wanted to come with me to the markets he would always say that he was tired or busy, I guessed that today Amir agha was feeling a bit better which made me excited. Excited that we could have fun, like old times.
They say everyone who looks into their family history will find a secret sooner or later. We had a huge secret that we hope no one would know about, well except some people know, but didn’t care of talking about it.
"You should know what Levi likes and doesn't like." She drinks her beer and places it on the bar.
