Glancing around the arena, Herja could see that many of the other slaves had already been pitted against a wide variety of opponents. Most of the demons and creatures she was able to recognize, having faced others of their kind in battle before, but there were one or two that even she was less familiar with. She quickly switched her focus back to what was going on closest to her as another of Lucifer's pets was summoned in the same circle that she stood in. Planting the butt of her spear in the sand, the Valkyrie batted her majestic wings forward a single time, dissipating the thick cloud of smoke almost instantly with a powerful gust of wind. Herja stood stoically with her head held high as she gave the beast a slow once-over, studying its …show more content…
Using all of her previous experience and knowledge, she was able to make at least a couple of educated guesses about the beast's nature. The first thing that stuck out at her was the grotesque perversion of a human head. It was safely tucked away in the creature's chest and had no neck, meaning that it would probably not be very practical for the Chimera to attack with it. That led Herja to the conclusion that the other two heads would probably be doing most of the fighting, while that one was the more intelligent of the three. It was either the one calling the shots for the other two, the one that controlled the majority of the other body parts, or perhaps even both. In any case, she was fairly confident that slaying that head in particular would yield the greatest results, although it would also be the most difficult of the three to …show more content…
Instead, the force of the goat's sturdy head colliding into her body sent Herka flying several feet backwards, all the way to the edge of the invisible platform and beyond. Thinking quickly, she used her shield arm to draw the sword from her waist and stab it into the platform, using it to hand on as her body dangled over the side. She could hardly feel her right arm at that point, let alone use it to help herself climb back up, and her right wing wasn't doing amazingly either. Still, she was at least able to flap her wings a couple of times and push herself back onto the fighting circle where the Chimera was already upon her. Quickly ripping her blade back out of the ground, Herja tucked her wings in as much as possible and rolled away from a heavy talon swipe that would have shredded her entire body to bits. She groaned in pain loudly, having been forced to land on her injured side in order to avoid the strike. Scrambling back up to her feet, the Valkyrie discarded her shield as it made using her sword with the same arm awkward and
“Yes I am dad.” Kevin screaming at the top of his lungs,” Mr.Cromwell needs to go!” While Howie and Kevin argued ,Cromwell was over there eating Kevin’s breakfast, waffles. Sunshine was pouring out from in between the buildings, casting shadows all around Ponyboy and the gang as they walked to Pony’s school. They were taking their time walking down the streets and for the first time they all were really seeing what was all around them. Memories were surfacing in their minds showing them what it all meant to them. With every step they took on the sidewalk they remembered a different memory as if they were walking down memory lane. Ponyboy didn’t think it was possible for him to be walking down this street for the last time as a high school student, but he had gone through the years with great grades that earned him many scholarships.

"Wake up, partners," the trail boss, James called. I sleepily looked up , shivered, and saw I was the only one not up. "Here," James said, giving me the horses' bridles and saddles. "Take these and get the horses ready. We have a long day today." I groaned in reply and set up the horses for the day's long drag. I was the horse wrangler and this was my everyday job but I still couldn't get use to the idea of waking up before the sun and working. We drove the cattle into open plains against the winter's cold wrath.

The monster then got up, and charged up some sort of lightning-based beam. He then shot it towards all directions, bringing down buildings, trees, even the ground started to shake a bit. The Hero realised how powerful Zero is, and that he needed to take him down as soon as possible. He then leaped again towards Zero, this time, aiming for the 2nd head. He then striked the neck as hard as he could, and that head was soon lifeless, just like the other head he had just previously
For, what had happened to the warrior’s cerebrum was tantamount to an F5 tornado flattening an entire town. The aftermath, a staggering desolate wasteland where fluctuating degrees of grays and blacks shadowed the Angel’s once, vibrant, vivid mind.
After Mildred closes the door behind her, I'm left there stunned. Not only by what she said, but how she said it. It sounded sweet, almost caring, as if she cared about me could she? I ask myself. I shake my head. No that can't be, I'm loosing it, just like I almost lost it when she asked me about the girl., so I had to lie about it to protect her.
As the winds wisp through the willowy woods on one warm November nighttime, our worrisome subject eyes a wooden orifice far into the night. The crunch of leaves and pinestraw accompany his stroll through the midnight Mississippi forest. Spanish moss waves through the wind as Deacon, or as he is affectionately known by his friends as Deac, moves ever so closer to this new object. It is the source of his visit to this mundane backwood land that appears otherworldly to Deac. A cabin in the woods is where Deacon is making his trek to, to visit his girlfriend’s family. “They could’ve told me that I couldn’t drive to the cabin,” Deacon mumbled to himself as he battles the brisk, hard blast of the breeze in the barren woodland. Deacon reaches the door of the

As the creature lurched forward Venn raised his shield and roared at her, his cry did nothing to instill fear in her as he had hoped, and she simply lurched forward, thrusting the dagger in her hand at him, he pulled back as she kept going lurching and stabbing, untill finally she leapt at him, swinging her knife down, Venn held up his sword and the dagger came down upon it, the two clshing in place, the creature clashed against Venns' shield as her wight carried her forward, and as quickly as he could, Venn knelt and let her momentum carry her forward, lifting his shield he felt her dagger whistle past his ear as he threw himself to the side, and the soulless woman flew past him, tumbling with ugly cracks and the sounds of painful landings
“If this doesn’t work, I’m blaming you.”, Zelda whispered as they were doing a dramatic walk towards the flowers.
So, as she flys forward to attack once more, I throw my hands up creating spikes of darkness. The darkness pushes through the light solidifying around me. The Winged One has no time to stop or slow so she flies forward to the spikes protecting. One of them stabs straight through her left wing. The woman lets out a bloodcurdling cry then is as limp as a rag doll.
