Tropical Rainforest
I was on my way to New Mexico to research a horse that was called a mustang about two hours on the plane there was a engine failure and we ended up landing in the Amazon Tropical Rainforest . In this specific rainforest it was about eighty degrees fahrenheit and 27 degrees celsius. It was also very humid in the summers plus the winters. My exact gps was 15 south and 71 to the west. At this time I was at the top of the food chain. I had seen some very beautiful plants like Heliconia flower, Cacao, Bromeliads,Venus fly trap and a very special one called The brazil nut tree because they grow only in three places in the world. There were also a lot of animals but the ones that stood out the most were the sloths, toucans, fossa
When one thinks about the Amazon rainforest often our minds flip to monkeys, toucans, and lots of trees. We think of the peacefulness and serenity of untouched land and the balance that nature has to offer. What we don’t think of is primitive tribes, mass killings, deadly snakes, ferocious jaguars, and satanic activity. This is the Amazon that Michael Dawson and his family were accustomed to. This was Yanomamo.
"Wake up, partners," the trail boss, James called. I sleepily looked up , shivered, and saw I was the only one not up. "Here," James said, giving me the horses' bridles and saddles. "Take these and get the horses ready. We have a long day today." I groaned in reply and set up the horses for the day's long drag. I was the horse wrangler and this was my everyday job but I still couldn't get use to the idea of waking up before the sun and working. We drove the cattle into open plains against the winter's cold wrath.
Grand Teton National Park is wonderful to visit any time of year, but Fall is my favorite. Autumn brings many wonderful things to the Tetons, but one thing it takes away are the large crowds of summer. Whew!
It’s December 2014 and it’s Christmas time in Newcastle. As usual the grey sky lays like a cozy blanket over the city. Somewhere around the Christmas madness a boy is walking around. Among the smell of cinnamon and food from the Christmas market, the sounds from people, cars and buses. Little noises are heard from pigeons fighting over a piece of dirty bread. As the boy navigates trough the crowds of people he is completely unaware of something life changing that is about to happen. This wonderful boy has sandy blonde curly hair that is partially covered by a grey woolly hat, he’s wearing a black cozy warm jacket with grey sweatpants and worn out vans. Wrapped under his shirt the wires from his headphones are just hanging loose on his chest
Here is the thing, as great as Victoria Bryant National Park sounds; in reality it is not as great as it sounds. To start off with, there is a five dollar charge just to park your car in the park and there is a pet fee to have a pet on the property. The small muddy creek that feels like its 78 degrees, flows through the park and happens to be poorly maintained, as well as any of the trials. Rotten tree trunks, big rough rocks, and tree roots that stick out like a sore thumb, take over the trails, not giving anyone the opportunity to enjoy the wildlife. Instead everyone will be paying attention to their feet and praying no one falls over. If grilling out is an activity planned for the day, then do not waste the time. The grills are not maintained
Four friends were going to hang out at Kings Island during Halloween Haunt. Their names are Jane Rogers, April O’Neil, Steve Rogers, and Donatello Hamato.
What is the personal significance of your given name (first, middle, and last)? My given name is Kimberly Müller. The personal significance of my given name is very important to me because I want my name to always have something great behind it, that’s one of my goals. My surname came from Germany, I sometimes wonder how a German surname came all the way to Haiti. My first name is the most perfect name for myself, so I just have to thank my parents for that, my mother’s name starts with the same letter as my name.
I will be done with my finals this Monday and then will start preparing to get back to Hawaii. I am all for going to the Kombucha bar as I haven't had kombucha since I left Hawaii. 1 or 2pm on Friday sounds good. I am not sure if I will have a vehicle though to pick you up if it starts raining but we will figure out something. I left my Mercedes with Mieko but she had a really bad luck with that car I don't know why. It started breaking down and she also had a small accident. She wasn't hurt because the front end collision prompted the safely air-bag to release, but the vehicle was a total loss. I am glad she wasn't hurt and now she has bought a used vehicle which is being fixed for some minor problems. Hopefully by the time I get back we will have a car to tool in around.
I was a 5 star general back in my days, I remember it clear as day. It was the start of world mole 2, I was ready to go out for battle. I was lucky because from birth I was a cam-mole, so I can get past the snakes. The can run but we can hide! I was in charge of digging all the trenches. Because due to my cam-moleflage, the enemy would never see me all I had to do was slip in dig the trenches. Once their dug the other moles can crawl in. It's a hard job out there, if i'm being honest! I mean the ground moles can barely survive. Good thing that we have air moles, I don’t know if we would make it without them. The swoop in and save the day. But me I am just a simple digger, and great at it to!
A classic piece of scenery in the northwest is Mount Rainier. It provide a spectacular backdrop to everything from Olympia to Seattle and beyond. Yet many have never set foot onto the tallest mountain in the region.
“We need to be there. We need to stop. Can we stop? I don’t feel well. Please, let’s just stop for the night. I”m going to be sick.”

“There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.” Born and raised in a box where everyone knows everyone means that there’s always “go to” places. As we grow out of cleats and place dolls in the attic, the giant wooden obstacles that you know every nook and cranny too are now just tired playgrounds filled with new children left to discover those hidden spots. The man made lakes that left the smell of sweet summer and chlorine lingering in your hair and skin are now rain puddles. Places from childhood form who we are and create everlasting friendships but over time, as the leaves change in the seasons so can we.
When you’re flying over south-east Queensland and underneath you are the distinctive, sinuous curves of the Brisbane River, you know you’re home. The river is why our city is here. Its waters carved the landscape out of ancient rock and laid down fertile flood plains. It’s a highway and an obstacle to passage. Even in modern times, there are Brisbanites who rarely venture across the river to suburbs on the other side. A source of food and water, transport, communication and recreation over millennia; life-giving, life-taking. The Brisbane River has many stories. This is one of them….
As the sun rose over the horizon it awoke the jungle slowly and efficiently. Soon I could hear the morning birds chirp with all their heart and that triggered joy and excitement in my soul. A morning breeze toured the jungle making the flowers and leaves tango with rhythm and finesse as though they were experts. The lush evergreen trees stood so firm as if the roots were clinging for their very life, in the distance there was a Crystal River and a waterfall as its source. I could hear the rampaging rapids after the dip of the waterfall which slowly converted into a swift river forcefully turning at every bank.
