Our company has stayed in business so long because of the ability to provide customers with reliable and durable products. We have not had many issues keeping up with the advances in technology; however, recent research has shown us that the competition for cell phone is growing every day. We have also found through extensive research that more customers are moving away from computers and laptops and moving toward wireless, easier to carry tablets. Just like the generation taught to complete math problems with calculators instead of using their head or ABACUS like their parents. Schools are the biggest potential buyers because they are using the Internet to move into the new technological world. Younger children, even at the kindergarten level are learning on computers, so to maintain the attention of the students schools are potential buyers who will buy in bulk. If schools buy in bulk to use for their staff and students, the students will go home and ask to buy a personal tablet for the home, instead of a computer. Many school districts are trying to go wireless with their schools they want the mobility that tablets will allow a computer lab to be more accessible to their students.
One issue Chatter Box believes could affect the competiveness of our tablet compared to the tablet produced by Apple is the loyal fan base that the company has for their products. Apple has a loyal backing therefore, their fans pay a high price for the tablet. We believe there could be some opportunity to take advantage of Apples higher prices, and this will help us sell more tablets.
The demand for tablets and their uses for online shopping are increasing fast. Tablet users tend to spend more money when they shop online from their tablet. Data came out in early 2012 that stated that tablet shoppers spend 50% more than
