IM SUPPOSED TO WRITE A LIST ARTICLE ABOUT THE UPCOMING COWBOYS @ REDSKINS GAME...BUT I WROTE THIS INSTEAD...
This season has been anything but what the fans of the Dallas Cowboys had hoped for. Not necessarily even hoped for, but expected would be the more accurate word I think. The Cowboys AND their fans came into the 2015 season thinking "this is our year" (Yea, I know what you all are thinking. "Cowboys fans ALWAYS think that every year is their year") However, this one was different. Quarterback, Tony Romo was coming off his best season of his career, and the team did the complete unexpected by going 12-4, and their season only ending due to a very controversial call against the Packers in the NFC divisional round of the playoffs. So why

Tony Romo has been the best man under center that the Cowboys franchise has seen in many years. Even better than Aikman. Troy himself will tell you the same. As I have said many times before a ring doesn't define a quarterback but unfortunately to ignorant fans its everything. Do people realize without Romo that this team would have been in this position every year. Sitting at the bottom of the division, dreaming of the the draft on Thanksgiving? Even at 8-8 three years in a row Romo gave us fans something to hold onto and something to cheer for. Romo is not the only one to thank, but he is most defintely not the only one to blame either. Tony has grown into himself as an athlete and as a quarterback. Injuries happen, this is the National Football League. They happen. But that does not mean Tony Romo is anywhere near done. We WILL see our star that dons the #9 jersey again, and we will be so grateful that he is there. He has fought through some pretty bad injuries; broken ribs, broken finger in his throwing hand, punctured lung, a herniated disc, two broken transverse process, and a broken collar bone...three times. He has survived these and continued to thrive. To say that this most recent injury will end his career is not only ludicrous, it's …show more content…
For as many 4th quarter game winning drives, or as many yards, touchdowns and HUGE plays he has assisted in, he has been more highlighted for his failures. That is despairing, It is also very telling of the media and the people that follow it. Am I bias? No, actually I am not. Not every man that has worn the star has automatically earned my respect or admiration. However when i see raw talent. Pure, passion, dedication, and devotion like that of which Romo has displayed over his last 9 years as the Cowboys starting man under center, It tends to acquire my attention to say the least. I can talk stats all day, i can spout off numbers but in the emd no one cares about that. They care about winning. That is precisely why Romo hasn't received the credit he deserves. When Romo came out after 9 weeks on the IRDTR list and threw two interceptions, no one cared. No one said a thing, because we won. Finally after 7 heartbreaking games that ended in a loss. We finally won. Tony Romo was the cape wearing superman once again. But a mere four days later he needs to go? Pick a side, and a loyalty. Either you are with us or against us. You cant only support Tony Romo when he leads us to a
In order for Cam Newton to get the respect he deserves, the media has to learn to accept that Cam is here to stay and is an elite talent. How many teams are still undefeated in the NFL this season? There is only one and it just so happens to be Cam Newton’s Panthers. With the season that Cam has had, he should be a near lock for MVP, but the media still keeps bringing up other names like Tom Brady. What people fail to realize is that Newton is putting up these numbers with very few receivers. Ted Ginn is the number one receiver for the Panthers and he has never been more than a number three option in his career. Newton does have a great tight end in Greg Olson, but for the most part is single handedly carrying this team with his legs and his arm. It is time for Newton to be put in the positive spotlight. Super Cam is good for the NFL and good for the African American community. He broke the mold and proved that an African American can be a great quarterback in the NFL and have a ton of fun while doing it. Next time you see number 1 flashing that contagious smile and celebrating a big touchdown, embrace it because we are witnessing something
As much as Broncos fans were joyful for the win over the Patriots on November 30th, it only deepened the conundrum that surrounds the mile-high team. This issue lies around Denver’s two quarterbacks, Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler. Peyton Manning, who once seemed like a paragon for the sport is now slipping from football fame. After leaving the Colts, a team where he had success, Denver seemed like the perfect place to continue his legacy. With eager fans, a strong defense, and a former Bronco QB as general manager, who wouldn’t want join that opportunity. However, football is a challenging and fickle sport, and this winter season especially seems to be a difficult one for Manning. With too many interceptions, and a recent plantar fascia injury to his left foot, he’s
After his injury, he was fully healed and ready to play when the coach realized they’re backup quarterback was younger and had a really good game. The coach decided to take a chance with the backup and benched Alex smith. He had to sit out knowing the team that used to be his didn’t want him anymore. Alex Smith’s whole career he threw 128 touchdown passes. He has over 10,000 yards passing in his whole career. I respect alex smith because when his career as a 49er ended he didn’t
Dallas is nfc ruler since 1990 they made it to the playoffs 12 times. The Cowboys headquarters are in valley ranch Irving, Texas. Since there was no team in Washington someone tried to buy the cowboys and make them the Washington Cowboys but then the someone stepped up and made the Washington Redskins. The Dallas Cowboys have the most NFC championships.Cowboys paid 620 million for there new players in 2014.The Cowboys had three stages the Cotton bowl,Texas stadium, and At&t stadium.
He started his first game and started for the rest of that season. He was one of the best rookies that year and became the first rookie in the cowboys franchise to start all the games at the center position. He sure did change everybody's mind as he continued this performance next season. He improved next season and was also named to his first pro bowl in his career. Even though the Cowboys did not do so good in the 2015 season he still did impress as he had to work with 4 different starting quarterback all with there different and personal offensive strategies which required him to make more protection calls and be on his game. Even after he did this he still performed at a pro bowl level among his fellow
As a quarterback one is placed in a position where leadership skills are needed, for Wentz this had come more naturally then people had expected. Although he did not need the title of captain, Wentz had deserved it. He proved that he had skills in which all successful leaders have. Wentz was always fair and constant. He was consistently working hard on and off the field to prove to his team that he was not going to give up. He would consistently motivate his teammates, even after he had injured himself. He was fair in a sense that he did not treat any player differently than the next. He was out to help all of his teammates under any circumstance. Whenever reports would come out about Wentz, his teammates always spoke greatly of him. I have never seen a report released where someone had spoken negatively about him. He was the type of teammate any NFL team would be lucky to have. Teammates would say how selfless Wentz was and how that helped the team to succeed so early on in the season. Teammates also told the press how Wentz’s injury did not stop him from believing that the Eagles could win the Super
The Cowboys offensive line was perfect last season, and they kept the defense away from their star quarterback Tony Romo. The "Great Wall" was a big reason for the Cowboys' success, and if Tyron Smith can remain healthy this season, defensives won't stand a chance against the Cowboys' offensive line.
It has been 40 years since the Seattle Seahawks entered the NFL. The Seahawks were created in 1976. They have been though three stadiums and lots of bad seasons. There have been lots of good seasons too. In the past seven years, the Seahawks have made three Superbowl appearances. Sadly, they are 1-2 in the Superbowl. Today, the franchise is bigger than ever. They hold the record for being the loudest stadium. Also, they have one of the best home-winning records. This is the history of the Seattle Seahawks.
Kansas City Chiefs were established on August 14, 1959. They were part of the AFC West, in the National Football League. The Chiefs are located in Kansas City, Missouri. They play in Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs are known for their loud Stadium, which has the loudest stadium since September 30, 2014.
OK, so he hasn 't been horrific since he took over for a struggling Brandon Weeden, who took over for an injured Tony Romo. (the fact that, there are this many quarterbacks in the talks for the Cowboys this season is beyond heartbreaking) Anyway, Cassel has shown some life and even made some impressive plays on the field. However, we are still sitting in at 2-6 and dead last in already abysmal division. Other than a 30-6 loss to the New England Patriots the Cowboys have been in every game until the last quarter, most of those games pushing into the final seconds and two of them even into overtime. Sounds accurate right Cowboy 's fans? If the Cowboys lose its always in a heart stopping, gut wrenching fashion. Nonetheless, should all of these losses lay at the feet of our man under center? Of course not, but on the other hand he has played mediocre football at best. Sometimes its about finding the quarterback that just knows how to win. I am not persuaded Cassel is able to do that. He hasn 't in the time he has worn the star anyway. Even though Cassel put up his best game as a Cowboy in the 33-27 overtime loss to the Eagles last Sunday night, it still has one play that will forever haunt him, and the fans I imagine. Cassel threw for 299 yards, 3 touchdowns, and the main focus unfortunately for Cassel is that one interception he threw in
The author is focussing on the struggles of the cowboys. They were supposedly built to win a championship, but they are far from that. The author’s main intention is that the cowboys expect to win with Tony Romo, but when he’s not playing, it seems like they’re fine with losing. That is, well, except for Greg Hardy. In addition, management does not change anything even though the team isn’t producing and instead of scolding people, they praise them.
How would you like to be under a coach that says crude language after he loses to another college, and another coach. “Get in your f------ locker room. That's f------ bull---- ... No f------ integrity ..."(CBSSports.com) Two men, two people who claim to be cowboys, coaches, along with all out nice guys, and yet are different in their morals, they reaction to winning and losing, as well as how people remember them.
After the argument I knew the Cowboys needed to win after all the crap we all talked. It would be embarrassing if they lost.
One of the team’s biggest strengths is their powerhouse offense. But the man under center is what makes that powerhouse offense run. That man is Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in the league if not the best. His statistics are unbelievable. He has the highest quarterback rating in NFL history at 103.8, while the second closest is 98.9. He has thrown 300 touchdowns to only 74 interceptions. That being a 4:1 touchdown to interception ratio, also the best in NFL history. One of his most impressive streaks was his success at home. In 2015, he threw an interception at home. The last one he threw at home before that was in 2012. He went three years without throwing an interception at home. Truly a remarkable feat. In 2011, Aaron had one of the best seasons
The 9er's and him deserve this P/R fiasco by giving him a 114-million-dollar contact after losing the Superbowl and lost the NFC championship game the next year. Jim Harbaugh had nothing to do with and it known to Jim Harbaugh he would not be the head coach the next year before the playoffs stared, being the spoiled primidone Kaepernick was and still is, his attitude was that it was him that carried the team and the coaching staff on his back to the Superbowl and NFC championship. In the two seasons since Harbaugh has left they have won 13 games, the first year Harbaugh was the head coach they won 13
