Dementia is a disease that affects the brain. The main areas it affects are your memory and the mind. It can also affect your personality and can change your way of thinking and how you are and what you are like as a person.
Dementia is extremely rare in a young person or a person under the ages of
65.
Throughout my essay I am going to be looking at the different types of
Dementia. I will also be looking at the different causes of the disease and the early signs and symptoms that come with the different types. I am going to look at the effects that it has on the individuals and their loved ones and the affect it has on their quality of life. I will then be focusing on two types of
Dementia and compare the signs and symptoms. I will then conclude my work by evaluating a case study of a woman named Irene and looking how her disease can be managed, what issues she has overcome and how it is affecting her and her loved ones.
There are many different forms of dementia and each of them affect the person and the mind in different ways.
Some of the different type of Dementia are more commonly known and others are not as well known. The others types of dementia are:
