Service Manager Training Workshop 2/5/14 Better understanding of role of IDVA at MARAC. MARAC process. Challenges at MARAC. Nature of job allows the staff susceptible to trauma. I learnt that as a manager, appropriate support need to be given to IDVA and other DA staff as a back- up. By attending to their social, emotional wellbeing and psychological needs to avoid stress, improve performance, reduce sickness and staff turnover. Staff case management to be monitored. On-going training Training and support supervision –mentoring for IDVA and MARAC representatives. Weekly team allocation meeting for support to address MARAC meeting procedures, outcome, role, high cases capacity, partnership working etc. Encourage team support to help with MARAC research. Constant de-brief to address challenges.
Governance Theory, Leadership, Risk and change Management, Commissioning 4/6/14 Understanding of governance types and theories. Role of board trustees in organisation. Different organisation risk and management. What is commissioning, differences between procurement and successful commissioning as value for money.

SWOT analysis of organisation. Organisational risks register. Understanding of types of risks, probability and action required to mitigate the risk. Change management from insight into governance standard to service monitoring. Definition of commissioning cycle, social impact and value of project. Reading the mind of the commissioner.
