I chose to pretend to buy a car from A Chevrolet dealership and the person that I talked to had actually been selling cars for quite some time now. He was incredible technique that made me almost purchase the car myself. One last thing, everything I quoted from our conversation is as close as I could remember it but its not exactly word for word in every phrase. Some are possibly word for world but not in every phrase.
As I walked into Chevrolet dealership in Van Nuys a young men approached me. He was wearing black slacks, a blue dressing shirt, a tie, and dressing shoes. From the beginning without this young man even said a word I felt that I could trust him because he was using the principle of authority. The way he would carry himself made me feel that he had knowledge on cars and most likely was successful at selling many cars.
Instead of using the same typical lines that many workers use like “hi, how can I help you” or “have you been helped yet” (trust me in guilty of this) he greeted me by saying “Hello, Good afternoon welcome to Keyes Chevrolet, my name is CJ, and you are?”. He made me feel welcomed right away and if I really was buying a car he didn’t even give me an option to say that I’m just looking. As I said my name he continued with “what brings you in today” I responded “well I’m a college student and currently have a car but I was kind of interested in looking at some options” .
