He may seem like any other 9 year old boy playing with his action figures, video games, destroying stuff throughout the house and basically blowing up anything he can find, but that's not the case. Never being the outgoing type, playing with other kids or making new friends, Tyson was the type to keep to himself, do whatever he wants, when he wanted to and talk to who he wanted to. Mom and dad always pushing them to go play outside, go make some friends, thinking their kid was a little strange. Was he strange? Tyson ignored what he heard and would continue to do what he wanted. Little did his parents know, their little boy was a totally different person at night. It all started on July 4th, 2005, on his way home from the 4th of July parade, while fireworks were being set off Tyson was struck by a misfired firework and was knocked out, hours later waking up in the hospital. After several different tests and examinations, the doctors did not see anything unusual with Tyson, a broken leg and a few bumps and bruises were about it. After 3 weeks of recovery and getting back on his feet, Tyson was back to normal, that was before he found out that he was affected in the accident. Things have been a little off the past couple weeks with recovering and regaining his strength in his leg. Random glitches through his body, gaining strength out of nowhere, and being smarter than ever. Classes were suddenly easier than they were before the accident, Tyson not ever asking for help

In his poem Auto Wreck (p. 1002), Karl Shapiro uses carefully constructed similes to cause the events he relates to become very vivid and also to create the mood for the poem. To describe the aftermath, especially in people's emotions, of an automobile accident, he uses almost exclusively medical or physiological imagery. This keeps the reader focused and allows the similes used to closely relate to the subject of the poem. Three main similes used are arterial blood, tourniquets and cancer. These images all follow the same idea, and thus add more to the poem than other rhetorical figures might.

In the recent years, the United States government has been enforcing stricter mandates on auto manufacturers to create safer vehicles, and on construction companies to create safer roadways. Matthew Jensen wrote a dissertation for the Graduate School of Clemson University titled, A Methodology for the Analysis of In-vehicle Operating Data and Design of Intelligent Vehicle Systems for Improved Automotive Safety. In his abstract, Jensen evaluated the future of vehicle manufacturing and traffic-related incidents. Of course, every year more vehicles are manufactured, which in theory means the number of miles driven in vehicles increases. He points out how the World Health Organization (WHO) found that automobile crashes was the ninth
“We have to get them out of there!” I heard voices yelling out in the distance, but was to lightheaded to know where they were coming from.
It’s a dark rainy night. You and your family are coming home from a late night family party. As a car is coming through an intersection another car cut in front of it. The driver decides to hit the brakes so you can avoid the car, but as he presses the brakes, the car loses control on the slick wet road. He is not able to gain control and at that point he has endangered the lives of himself and many others on the road. This is just one example of the many types of things that occur in our streets everyday. All that would have been needed to avoid this situation would have been a traction control system in his car, which would have detected that the car was skidding and would have applied the brakes to
