If you were an animal for a day, what would you be? I would be a lion. Lions are awesome because they have the large mane around their neck making them look so cool. They also, can hunt almost anything in the wild from a small little bird to a large African Elephant. Also, the lions are the kings of the African safari because they can hunt everything that they can eat. Plus, they can have their own family of 10 lions that are females. He can have as many cubs as he wants. These lions are so cool to look at and watch for a long time because they can roam any where they want, from a small forest to a large open field.
One morning I woke up and I felt much different than before. I got up and saw I was a large African male lion. I have always wanted to be a lion. My bright blonde fur shined bright on top of the red chalk rock. The rock was covered in grass and there were a few gum trees around me keeping me in the shade. There was also a small river I saw earlier and there was a huge brush area to the right of me. I wanted to go discover some more structures around me. While I was out looking around I saw a large boulder that was covered with a family of lions. Has I snuck by a herd of water buffalo came roaring passed. I knew I would have to hunt at some point so I will have to search for the right buffalo to eat. As I was searching I saw an injured buffalo male that I knew I could get too. The buffalo was lipping on his front leg. I jumped out of the brush and started chasing the buffalo. He was still running really fast but as he started slowing down he fell to the ground. Then, I started feasting on the buffalo. While I was feasting on the water buffalo, a group of lion, came up to me and started growling. I keep on eating while they were watching. Then, suddenly one of the lion jump on my back and started scratching me. When the lion was on me I got right up and throw it right of off me. While, the other lion are now feasting a large male lion started coming into my view. The leader of the group came in plain site and wanted to fight. I knew I was gong to when because it was a small male that didn't look very strong or brave. The lion started coming towards me and I was like I want a family and as
The large animal I would like to be is the African Lion. Simply because I think they’re majestic, regal, and confident creatures and, well to be truthful I am also born of the zodiac. The African lions are the only large cat species that live in groups called “Prides”. The lion is an impressive animal whose head & body can measure 4.5 to 6.5ft; (which can be relative to a 6ft.2in male human when standing on two legs) the tail alone can measure; 26.25 to 39.5inches in length. They can weigh as little as 265lbs to as much as 420lbs. For years the lion were only represented in one color which was yellowish-gold but now you can see them as all white as the snow, thanks to some genetic tinkering. Their paws are enormous, the male paw when relaxed can measure 10-12 inches
As he walked into the arena, the crowd stilled. The sand below was white and blinding in the light of the beating sun. The stone wall of the arena felt like the walls of his soon to be coffin. As he turned around slowly to bow to the king, a customary for the victims of his sick barbaric punishment, but when he looked up, his eyes were only on the woman he dearly loved. As their eyes meet a memory flashed between them like a spark of light move quickly before his eyes.
As we hiked along Tijana and I pointed out red pandas and other animals along the path. Once we got to where the door was I told Tijana of the door that we stood in front of. He didn’t understand what I was talking about. So we walked back down to the village. Tijana must have thought that I was crazy because we didn’t speak the whole way down. After I had dropped Tijana off at his house I decided to go up to the door again. Tijana was not coming with me for he was to much of a burden. Once I got up to the door I heard growling and there was a tiger right about 25 yards away from me. I froze because he could have killed me right then and there. The only option was to go through the door so I took that way out. Slowly, I grabbed the key and unlocked the door and in one swift motion I quickly slipped through the
Out of nowhere, a lion from the forest entered the scene and jumped on the militants. The animal seized one of the attackers by the neck. Two other lions leapt at other militants who tried to attack the first lion, and the incident caused the assailants to flee.
Feeling the heat on my skin, I sat there staring at the fire. I watched as all the women in my village worked together to cook dinner. Hearing the laughter and conversations between everyone is what I loved. Looking out at the moon and listening to the sounds of the Everglades. I was pulled away from my thoughts when I heard my grandmother’s scream. We all looked over and saw her running towards us in a panic. She tried to tell us what happened, but all I heard was “It looked at me.” The men in our village had just returned and were quick to get their guns. So frightened, I ran to my chickee hut to get my older sister, but I stopped in my tracks. Right in my path was the large beast and looking at me.
Since the end of World War 2 in 1945, Nazism has been used throughout films in order to showcase what life was like leading up to, during and momentarily after the second world war. The different perspectives and viewpoints provide the viewers with an idea as to how extreme propaganda, recruitment and control was in Nazi Germany and to what extent the Nazi’s went to in order to display their power and have jurisdiction over the citizens of Germany. In some cases, movies portray the rise of Hitler and Nazi Germany, such as The Lion King, Cabaret and Sophie Scholl, whereas others depict the collapse of Hitler and his Nazi’s, such as Schindler’s List and Downfall. While some movies show an obvious representation of Nazism through the plot line, others use symbolism to subtly express the idea of Nazism.

The article in titled Between Lions and Men, Images of the Hero in the Iliad by Michael Clarke is a very innovate piece of work. In the article, Clarke puts forward the idea of how the referencing of wild animals in the Iliad is symbolic and highly significant to the ethical and psychological problems of heroism within Homer’s Iliad. The focus that Clarke is placing in relation to the animal similes within the Iliad is the lion similes. As the Iliad is focused on Achilles and his death, it is no wonder that the lion similes are associated with this so called hero. Achilles and how he associates himself with the wolf and particularly the lion is the focal point of this article. In this essay I will analyse and comment on the argument put forward
The Lion and the Ox is a one of the oldest and most popular pieces of classic Arabic literature. Originally from India, this animal fable is famous for its inclusion of many other animal fables, each of which help provide the characters of the story with advice regarding their situation. Unlike The Arabian Nights, which also uses a frame tale that contains each tale, multiple animals share their wisdom with one another. The wisdom of the story’s two main characters, Kalila and Dimna, help foreshadow and motivate the events of the frame tale and bring it to a reasonable yet tragic conclusion.
