Morning Routine Beep, beep, beep. Once I have heard that for the third time I finally drag myself out of bed, and when I do, there is a flurry of events that happen before I get myself to school. The events that take place on a day to day basis are showering, getting dressed, fixing my hair, eating breakfast, doing leftover homework, and brushing my teeth. Mentioned above, the first thing I do after getting out of bed is take a shower. The right way to take a shower is with lukewarm or cold water because scalding water is bad for your skin and it also hurts. After I’ve gotten in the shower, I wet my hair down, and then get a quarter sized amount of shampoo. From there, I lightly rub my hands together for five seconds; then, I gently scrub my scalp with shampoo covered hands. After I completely cover my entire scalp in the shampoo lather, I tilt my head forward and rinse the shampoo out of my hair. After the shampooing, I squeeze out a quarter sized amount of conditioner onto my hands. Then, I spread the conditioner evenly in both of my hands, and then lightly work the conditioner all over my scalp, like the shampoo. Although the label on conditioners say to leave it in for a few minutes, it doesn't make a difference, so once I’ve applied the conditioner to my entire scalp, I tilt my head forward and rinse it out. A serious epidemic is overtaking this country. Underage drinking is spreading like a virus. It is not just teenagers in college that are drinking; there are numerous kids in high school, middle school, and even elementary school! How have we let it get this far? There is no excuse to be oblivious anymore. Underage drinking is right in front of our faces. It is killing our children. The good news is that this is a problem that can be fixed. There is no way of completely eliminating underage drinking, but it can be greatly reduced. With efforts from the government, parents, and the media, we can diminish underage drinking a great deal. Every year, thousands of minors die from the use of alcohol. Many young adults abuse the drinking age policy. It is put in effect for substantial reasons, which contribute in making the safest environment for all. Drinking underage is not only illegal, but also damages one’s health tremendously. Furthermore, drinking in large amounts is extremely dangerous and can cause detrimental things to occur. There have been numerous attempts to create a law to lower the drinking age, but none have gone through.
