When an American citizen thinks about their President, many words may come to mind, courage, strength, compassion, and political savvy are a few of those words. Our President, Donald J. Trump, exhibits his ability to be excellent in those categories and more throughout the entirety of his life. He has shown his ability to not only succeed, but exceed expectations at every position he has ever held. The true reason he is the best candidate however, is simply due to the opportunity for him to change the way big government has handled itself in the past, and especially during the Obama administration. To do this, he plans on creating many new possibilities for legal citizens of the United States. His agenda also includes reducing political correctness, …show more content…
The volume of illegal immigrants constantly coming to the US is causing a major job shortage, which has seemingly been swept under the rug or blamed on other factors, when in reality, more people coming into the US means less jobs for real US citizens. Trump doesn’t care how legal immigrants come in, so long as they are documented and take the proper steps that illegals disregard. Those who have criticized Donald Trump recently have seemingly come out of the woodwork calling him a racist, bigot, or just an asshole. However, his brash manor is simply due to his undying passion and devotion to providing a safeguard from everything that does not benefit this country. Those who criticize him for his view on illegal immigration obviously do not have the slightest clue about the severity of unemployment in America, as well as the amount of jobs taken by those who do not belong here to begin …show more content…
This wall would prove itself quite useful in defending against illegal immigration. In 2014, Mexicans made up fifty-two percent of unauthorized immigrants in the United States. (Krogstad, Passel, & Cohn, 2016) Building a wall would significantly reduce these numbers by making it much more difficult for these people to enter. This action would also show other countries that the US is serious about the illegal immigration problem, and is willing to take whatever measures necessary to keep jobs with legal
April 2015 was the year Donald Trump, the Republican, announced to the public his serious interest in joining the 2016 presidency election. Trump 's highest interest is immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, and states they are "criminals.” He blames the race of Mexicans of robbing Americans jobs, and treating Americans like babies (Miller, n.pag.). What he does not know, is that not all Mexicans are "criminals," and we are not robbing Americans ' jobs. Most of us come to United States to work our hardest, and get a better job. Trump not only is he a racist, but he also has made many unprofessional actions and decisions. We should not be voting for Donald Trump because his ruthless actions against immigrants are strongly affecting our society and segregating most races within each other. He can be a dangerous future president who is carelessly choosing between the white American and Mexican.Trump shows a high interest in segregation among all races and blames most of the unemployed by allowing Mexicans to “take over”.
Donald Trump recently announced his bid for the presidency. Sporting a net worth over $8 billion, Trump poses a real threat to his opponents. Or does he? Unlike his finances, his policy ideas are feeble at best. Most notably Trump's "Great Mexican Wall" is not only unfeasible but also alienates latino voters. Furthermore, Trump even calls undocumented immigrants "rapists." If Trump isn't hispanic-friendly his multi-billions are worthless.
President Barrack Obama did not abuse his executive powers in protecting undocumented immigrants. President Obama wanted illegal children to be protected, yet he stated that his decision would only provide temporary protection. He knew that he would have to reform immigration, and DACA would not be a pathway to receive citizenship. However, Obama knew his policy could be rejected after a new president would take office. Shortly After, the 45th President was not welcomed with the usual open arms of the American people, due to his generalizations. In 2016, during his presidential campaign, Trump called Mexicans “Rapist” and “Criminals.” It also seemed he had experienced tensions with other minorities such as Arabs. Even though the majority of undocumented immigrants has risen from Asia, Trump’s decision on DACA singles out a racial group for discrimination, particularly Mexicans.
Mexican citizens won't be able to cross the border with the wall up, right? Sure, it is true that people won't be able to run across the border, but not even half of the illegal immigrants in the US get in that way. Most illegal Mexican immigrants get into the US legally, and overstay their VISAs. Not only will the wall fail to keep illegal immigrants out, it will only make the situation worse. Building the wall will monopolize border crossing for the cartel. Any good businessman knows that as soon as something is illegal or prohibited, the price goes up for underground businesses. The Mexican Cartel will be able to make more profit and therefore grow if we build this
While a constant flow of people coming to America seems like a great idea to most, President-elect Trump thinks the U.S need to limit the people it let in. During his campaign he said he would repeal DACA and kick out all illegal immigrants. His thought process behind this is that it will free up jobs for Americans. Trump is right that it will free up jobs as roughly “8 million illegal immigrants currently have jobs”, but the issue is that Americans won’t have the proper training to take all of these jobs (Krogstad). This will lead to companies not producing what they should and being forced to lay off people. So overall by kicking out all immigrants Trump will be costing many Americans jobs and could lead to another depression. Another thing that Trump has said he will do is build a wall around the U.S and Mexico. This wall will cost millions, maybe even billions of dollars, yet Trump has not elaborated on how it will be paid for. He has said he will get Mexico to pay for it and that he has a plan to do it, but nobody knows what that is. This
Donald Trump doesn’t know the hardships that many immigrants face in order to have a better life. Many of them come to the United States to have a numerous amount of opportunities and he is taking them away which ruins their well being. In Time Magazine, Indira Marquez Robles has her future planned out. She knows what she wants in life, but she has distress about what might happen. Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing, it’s not benefiting the people just making things deleterious. Countless stories like this are disheartening to multiple individuals like myself.
President Trump's goal is to rid the entire nation of undocumented immigrants(Calabresi et al, 2016). Trump plans to send immigrants back to Mexico to wait out the immigration process(Kulish et al, 2017). However, Mexico did not approve of this plan. Trump is trying to pawn a U.S. problem on another country, and it is causing tensions to rise. Trump also plans to use expedited removal of illegal Mexican immigrants. This means he plans to deport people without a judge as extensively as the law will allow it in order to prevent back log of immigrant cases(Kulish et al, 2017). By preventing illegal Mexican immigrants from obtaining the necessary wages in order for their families to be financially stable, the Mexican economy will only plummet more. These people will continue to live in poverty, and the incentive will be even higher to illegally immigrate to the U.S.. It also creates the problem for the U.S. with a lack of a blue collar workforce population for the service economy and agriculture. He also plans on expanding the program 287(g) which, from 2013-2016, led to over 175,000 deportations(Kullish et al, 2017). The program was able to deport so many people because it used racial profiling. The U.S. has come so far in civil rights and liberties just to stigmatize Mexican Americans as illegal immigrants. The only beneficial thing Trump has done in his immigration policy is leave DACA alone.
We would be spending hundreds of billions of dollars to learn that we might not even accomplish much. How do we know for sure that if we spend time on building this expensive wall, it will put a stop to illegal immigrants entering the United States? We cannot just assume that just because we build up this wall or fence, those who want to enter the U.S. illegally will shrug their shoulders and turn their backs against the wall. It will lead to other things, such as the expansion of the smuggling act by increasing their business. The cost of 670 miles wall can cost up to $2.4 billion alone. Not only does the wall need to be set up, but there are a few other things that need to be installed. For example, they would need to install cameras, vehicle barriers, lighting, and more in order to catch people that still try to pass. Also, they would have to include maintenance and upkeep. Donald Trump stated in his Presidential Announcement Speech, “..I’ll build them inexpensively.” Building a wall inexpensively is quite difficult to achieve. If achieved, it might not be as beneficial as some believe it . Our United States national debt has skyrocketed. Building this wall will just make it go above and beyond its limits. In the end of 2015, the national debt was estimated to be $21.7 trillion, including federal $18.2 trillion, state $1.15 trillion, and local $1.9 trillion. Although some argue that the money will be put to good use and help the
can official stop unauthorized immigration. Perhaps, instead of a massive wall that will cost the country a fortune, put effort into completing the existing fence and have more patrols around the borders. The trouble with this would be that the fence right now has not been completed all the way due to terrain of mountains and rivers, so it might require more man power to install. Another thing is that I don’t know how the U.S. would be able to keep track of everyone who enters the country whether by plane, boat, etc. and then stay here instead of returning to their home countries. One possible way to help combat this could be that the government needs to identify those who have overstayed their designated visas, and make sure that these individuals return home. In addition, our government should cooperate with Mexico in order to round up these immigrants when they flee into Mexico’s territory and work out a solution for how they can house the individuals and/or return them to their home
Two issues that Trump has hyper-focused on are immigration and job creation during his first 100 days in office. First, I will talk about immigration, which many would say was his main platform for his election. This was the issue he built his “wall” campaign on. There are over 11.3 million illegal immigrants living in the United States. Critics say that this “wall” that Trump wants to build is unaffordable and downright unrealistic. From the beginning of his initial bid for president he was backed by many to build this wall along the 2000 mile US-Mexico border. When Trump first became instated as the president, he pledged a contiguous, physical wall or other similarly secure, contiguous, and impassable physical barrier. Trump approached the Mexican president, Enrique Peña Nieto that his country will have to pay for the wall to be built. This didn't go over to well creating some tension between trump and our neighbor to the south with in his first month of election. Enrique Peña Nieto wanted nothing to do with paying for the wall since the price tag is so high. With this Ideal to build a wall, he also added as a side note to hire over 10,000 plus immigration officers to eliminate federal money to sanctuary cities. These cities refuse to deport undocumented immigrants. Also he vowed to catch and deport the millions of men, women and children who live in this country without documentation. As of his 100th day in office there has been a recorded decrease in illegal Southwest border crossings due to his increase in border security. Homeland Security as of March 8 release data showing that in there was alone 18,762 illegal immigrants caught. This is estimated as a 60% decline from november before Trump took over in office. The only stipulations to this data is , it does not give a general trend since it's been such a short period of
Donald Trump is charming, well spoken, and adept at captivating the hearts and pockets of Americans all across the country. The philosophies of racism and a communist market that he perpetuates outline a much brighter future with markedly less freedom and increased levels of prejudice and xenophobia.
Building the wall across the us and mexican border would be a beneficial thing because it helps by deterring illegal immigration from central america, By disrupting violent cartel networks, and by drug distribution to the us.
Anyone who criticizes Donald Trump has definitely never read his books, and probably doesn't know anything about him other than the liberal nonsense spread by those who fear him. His immediate plans will be to secure our southern border, and institute E-verify for visiting workers. He'll then put in place a $10,000 fine for hiring illegal workers. That will cause them to self deport. He's going to lower the corporate tax and renegotiate our trade agreements in order to return manufacturing and millions of jobs to our country. He'll lower taxes on small business, so that owners can start hiring again. He'll repeal Obamacare, and replace it with a sane program, which has reasonable deductibles and fair pricing for the middle class. Donald Trump
Donald Trump meets the legal requirements to be the President of the Unites States of America: he is a native born United States citizen, he is older than thirty-five years of age, and he has lived in the United States for fourteen years; but sixty percent of Americans still believe that he is not qualified to be president. The president has an important role in our country, so it is important that whoever is selected can be trusted to be fair and honest in that position. Donald Trump, on many occasions, has shown that he would not be a fair, accepting leader. He openly discriminates against Immigrants, African Americans, women, and countless others. Although he is a successful businessman and would be able to run the country as a business,
Trump has a job of making himself rich and he is worth $4.5billion to $10billion. The economy is not what trump is looking to. January’s interview on trump he said “Good morning America,” Trump bleak assessment of U.S. economy and added, Terms of fixing it, he’d rather skip. April interview Washington post, trump reiterated doomsday of the economy, we might headed for recession. He appeared to open idea being in charge of finding remedies. "I can fix it. I can fix it pretty quickly," he said. most recently, he maligned the federal reserve for creating what he says "false economy." CNBC all-America survey, Americans trump and democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton evenly key issues. Recent CNN/Orc poll shows trump rating higher on the economy among voters. The American Action Forum, a right-leaning policy institute based in Washington D.C., estimates immediately and enforcing current immigration law, as Trump has suggested, would cost the federal government from $400 billion to $600 billion. It would shrink the labor by 11 million workers, reduce real GDP by $1.6 trillion and 20 years to complete (Trump has said he could do it in 18 months). He pointed to the case of Postville, lowa, in 2008 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raided a slaughterhouse and meat packing plant, detaining 389 undocumented workers (and jailing 300 of them). The raid caused most the more than 1,000 immigrants not caught leave town of 2,300, devastating the local economy in the process. He
