When a customer purchases from Dot Foods, the customer has the ability to devote less storage space to inventory and to devote less working capital to
Bimbo Bakeries USA, headquartered in Horsham, Pennsylvania is the United States affiliate of Grupo Industrial Bimbo, founded in Mexico City, Mexico. Though Grupo Bimbo is now a multinational corporation, it began as a single family-owned bakery in Mexico City called “El Molino”. Lorenzo Servitje Sendra worked with his father in the family bakery throughout his childhood, but when his father died in 1936 he had to take over. Lorenzo was educated and ambitious, and together with three of his family members devised a plan to increase the scope of their business. They bought five delivery vans to deliver their breads, wrapped in plastic to preserve freshness, to various small stores daily. Customers loved their product and within a few years they had increased production and were expanding outside of Mexico City.

In 1883 Bernard (Barney) Kroger invested 372 dollars that consisted of his life savings to open the first ‘Kroger’ grocery. That first store, located at 66 Pearl Street in downtown Cincinnati, would soon turn into the giant retail chain that consists of nearly 2,500 stores all over the country and most recently produced sales of over 76 billion dollars. Barney Kroger was revolutionary in the formation of the modern grocery, in that he was the first grocer to have his own bakery, as well as selling meat and other groceries all under one roof. Kroger was also the first to manufacture the products that he in turn sold in his own store. This was the beginning of what is today one of the largest food manufacturing companies in America.

Despite its location, Dot’s Donut Shop was about to get famous. Dot’s Donut Shop was built on the side of a lonely road. The owner and boss of the shop was a strict and mean man named Mr.Dot. The baker who makes the donuts was a kind and humble person named Raphael. The cash register was a poor and depressed man named Bob. These three runned the shop. Customers barely came. Those customers who did come often said that the donuts Raphael made are their favorite. The shop was open from 5 am to 11pm. It was 10:51. Raphael was beginning to clean up the kitchen while Bob was cleaning the tables. “Hey Bob, want a donut,’’ Raphael asked. “Sure,” Bob responded. Raphael handed Bob a donut. “Thank you, Raphael,” Bob said as he took the delicious and
