My analysis is over the piece called Education. This essay was written by E.B. White who was a very well accomplished essayist for the New Yorker. Not only was he known for his essays, he was also the author of the famous children's book Charlotte’s Web which he got published at a mere 40 years old. This analysis has little to do with these facts though, it has more to do with E.B. White, the concerned father of a third grader transitioning to a country school.
This is an essay aimed at anyone concerned with making a tough decision for a child, or even more generally just a hard decision. This is something everyone can relate to at some point in their lives. He assumes most people like him have a bias for public school because of what all they can offer in terms of variety, and then goes directly against that bias to send his own child to country school.
One of the main points of the article is about which decision do you choose? Should you send your child to a city school, because that’s what you did? Or should you send them to a country school so they can get a more personal education? Towards the end he also seems to imply the subtle point …show more content…

The first point he explains his own experience with public school and his son's experience with country school while also explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each. He also uses a particular approach with his point of enjoying the decision you chose, and it’s how it was written. He starts off as how parents they were apprehensive, and the boy was nervous about the country school, and after the first day it was “All right”. He later goes on to say that after a year he cannot make a discernible difference between the two schools, except his son sleeps better at night. In both instances he clearly explains both sides of both arguments, and he also bleeds the two points together by talking about what happens after he made his choice and how it made him
