EHS Personal Statement

I have attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh for the last two years. I will be entering my junior year pursuing a Bachelor Degree of Science with a major in Environmental Studies. My career interests entail green energy and natural resource management. I was a young child when I started attending a summer camp program that emphasized nature and environmental conservation—ever since I have made outdoor activities into hobbies and continued interest in environmental sustainability. The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh focuses on sustainability through green building, alternative and solar energy, and curbing pollution.

Pursing a career as a medical doctor is an opportunity for me to mentor youth in underserved populations. As a child, I was raised in the low income, urban community of Roxbury, MA. Although not as notorious today, the neighborhood had garnered negative attention for its high crime rates. My mother emigrated from Haiti and raised me as a single parent. Due to our financial circumstance, Roxbury became our permanent residence. I have always felt there was something lacking in Roxbury in comparison to other towns I visited. My teenage years were largely spent in the suburban town of Stoneham where I attended high school. There was a literal difference in air quality and a psychology contrast in future prospects. It is equipped with all the tools I need to make a positive impact on the world. With the healthcare industry constantly changing and constantly growing, it’s critical that students like me learn how to adapt to these changes. The Bloustein School provides all the resources necessary to keep up with the dynamic nature of healthcare. After receiving my bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, I am interested in getting an MBA in Healthcare Management. Everyone has a dream or something they want to follow in life. Some want material gain while others want to help as many people as they can. I’m not saying wanting material gain is a bad thing, but what I am saying is that for me, money is not the number one concern when my dream is to help others. My hunger to help others only grows by the day. Because of what’s going on in the world we live in today, I believe that it is important that those who are less fortunate than others have the assistance they need to get to an even playing field, health-wise, with others.

Before reaching her five-year employment milestone of Amanda employer should be actively working towards achieving Amanda’s Associate Safety Professional certification. Assessing the importance of this certification into the Amanda Career Development plan is very beneficial to gaining the need experience and knowledge Amanda will need for her first career advancement. The Associate Safety Professional certification is the first step in beginning the process of achieving the CSP Certification. This certification will be a wise decision for Amanda career development because Amanda already has the certifications requirement. The certification will allow Amanda to advise, assess and control safety duties of a company by extending her the knowledge of evaluating risk and hazard control measure and the preparation emergency response plans for a company.

I am very excited to be applying to ECU for many reasons. From the pleasant campus atmosphere to the comprehensive majors, I believe I will be greatly benefited by the experience the university offers.

It is with great intrigue that I submit my cover letter and resume in response to the Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator position at The International Group Inc, advertised on Indeed website. Currently I am undertaking Occupational Health and Safety Management program at Lambton College, Toronto.

My goal is to provide safe and effective healthcare products by making sure healthcare industry comply with all of the regulatory compliance regulations and laws. Today there are immense advancements in the field of science and technology, creating many opportunities with new dimensions to make this world a better place. Twenty year old Queens, New York native, Edwin Torres is on his third (non consecutive) year at York college.
