I would really like the opportunity to attend Wake STEM Early College High School. When I attended open house I saw that the students were interested in the same kind of things as me. They were excited about learning and working on projects together. That is the kind of school where I could work best. I have wanted to be a Mechanical/Computer engineer for as long as I can remember. STEM HS would be a great start on the way to a good engineering school. The 1.5 - 2 years of college credits would help my family tremendously by saving a lot of money.
I would love to attend Wake STEM Early College High School because I believe it will give me a head start on my learning after the high school level. Your program will improve my college experience and save thousands of dollars in college tuition by giving me an associates degree and high school diploma upon graduation. I have always been focused on learning science and math because it is something I love to do and I can have a successful career in the future by using those skills. I understand that attending this prestigious school will require a certain level of maturity and willingness to work hard. As an 8th grader at West Lake Middle School, I am a member of the National
The college offers students a basic college education and also has one of the best nursing programs in the state. Since I'm a REaCH student the classes are free and costly effective. Which means I am able to receive a free education, free book rentals, and free tutoring. So I've saved hundreds or thousands of dollars, all I have to
Having already discussed that the ideal of cheaper college will not only allow over enrollment it also influences larger class sizes, less knowledge obtained and inadequate supply for students, which brings us to focus on the benefits of investing more financially into colleges. Some students agree that their environment have great impact on the way they feel, their moods, productivity as well as their performance all together. At the University of Arizona, in 2014, in- state tuition was about $11,000, while out-of-state tuition was $29,500. They began to invest in the schools appearance, including spas and relaxation areas, Olympic size pools along with renovating dorm and cafeteria facilities. These renovations attracted out of state students
Being able to go to college is an accomplishment and funding it is a problem for the students or for the parents.
There are many methods you can use when it comes to paying for your college cost. You can use financial aid, federal grants, private student loans, college work study, and you can also even try to make a good score on your ACT so that you can have many colleges to choose from that will give you a scholarship. All of these ways will either pay some or may even pay all of your college cost. Most family’s first choice is financial aid because it is a major source for college financing.
Today college tuition has the highest price tag it has ever had in American history. Right now, happens to be the hardest time for people to go to school and be successful. To put it in numbers, tuition price has boosted a whopping 1,122 percent in the past 40 years. Along with college tuition, student loan debt has obviously also increased. Free community college could be beneficial to many people and can begin to be achieved by relieving student debt, increasing tax and changing where tax money is invested and following the models other countries and even other U.S. states have already set.
Until today, a majority of colleges and universities require students to send their SAT or ACT score to supplement their high school GPA, as part of the application process. In other words, students who are applying to prestigious schools must confirm that their college admissions exam meets the expectations of the college they apply to. However, for most students, this daunting requisite can actually harm their chances of getting accepted. It becomes a significant misconception when individuals believe that this single test can determine their success in colleges and careers…
Paying for college is a stressful thing to even think about at times. Financial aid and student loans have helped cut down my cost for college. Even after getting my financial aid package from my university there is still thousands of dollars that I somehow need to cover. I plan on taking up a work study through the school that will also help bring down the cost another couple of thousand dollars but that just doesn’t do it. Scholarships is my next hope to achieve some help before taking out more loans. Scholarships
Today, fewer than two percent of college athletes go to the professional league leaving the rest to seek a new path of life (Rice.) The select few that have the opportunity to keep on playing in a professional league have the choice of leaving college early to get a head start. Athletes like Myron Rolle, O.J. Mayo, Michael Crabtree, Troy Smith, A. Q. Shipley, Cardale Jones, Odell Beckham Jr., Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, Matt Barkley, Peyton Barber, and Anthony Davis had to make that huge decision that has been debated about through all of the sports organizations. Some of these athletes have been successful in their decisions and some have struggled regretting their decision. Athletes should not be allowed to leave college early
I believe that the early college program will help me to both get a head start and acheive my career choice of becoming a veterinarian. The program will also help me to gradually adapt to the college lifestyle rather than having to jump right in after senior year not knowing what to expect. Early college program would be a good fit for me as an individual because I am highly self motivated to complete my pre-veterinary studies by the end of my thirteenth year. Both staff and student would agree that I am very soft spoken but I believe that the program would help me to open up and gain self confidence. attendance are of importance to me because I do not want to fall behind in my classes. This is why the early college program would be a good
“We have three cats. It's like having children, but there is no tuition involved” (Reagan, 2017). This might be the way to go for today’s millennials futures. College tuition has become a great financial burden over the course of a few years. After high school, students have many different career options such as: being apart of the workforce, joining the military, and of course. . . going to college. Many who choose the workforce and the military over college though is almost always for the same reason though. College is just too expensive. Living in too much debt could lead to lots of stress in life, and no one wants to stress about getting a higher education just to make it through life. Many students who do choose college over the workforce
Free college sounds like a great opportunity for most individuals, but only few have come to realize the true cost of college. College is education given to students who want it, and the tuition isn’t as high for those who work for it. College is a privilege for individuals, not a given opportunity. Although eliminating college tuition would allow more students the opportunity to attend college, it doesn’t change the fact that students may actually attend college and support programs become available to help students pay the tuition without the need to make college free.
An early start on college, Well i think everyone should start saving early for college. To have the opportunity would just be great for everyone. Also honestly i don't believe that that saving early can really even burn you out of money. Starting early just really would help you in the future. If you could save ever since you were born you would have more money than you need to get you to college only like a couple dollars every week and when the days add up your kids way into college is paid for. So i believe as long as you keep a steady pay rate to your opportunity i would take it.
