Music is something in my life that has been very important to me. Music is something that people bond over day by day and interact with. Music is something that can be one on one with an individual person in every mood. “One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain” (Bob Marley). Twenty One Pilots has been, and will forever be, one of my favorite bands. This song has a very deep meaning and it makes me very emotional listening to it sometimes but it is truly beautiful. “I feel for you but when did you believe you were alone?” (Twenty One Pilots, Friend, Please). This quote came off of another song they wrote on this same album, this is talking about love and depression and through all the pain and misery you are not alone …show more content…
This person was a girl who he potentially loved, this girl had no one else, she relied on him to keep her safe. Why did she buckle up her heart in the car? I think because she wanted to die with him. This is also an example of a metaphor, she didn’t actually buckle up her anatomical heart. He was her escape, but he was escaping from her. “I began to understand/ Why God died” (Twenty One Pilots lines 9-11). The both of them had a resting place in heaven. So then they would have a resting place for eternity and live happy and beautifully and pain free forever, together. God also had to forgive them for their sins. I think at this point something terrible will happen to the two of them. This girl has been battling demons like no other, demons so serious they wanted to kill her. However, she couldn’t battle these demons on her own. She needed her protector and healer, but he abandoned her.
“The demon sat there waiting on her porch/ It was a little dark so he held a makeshift torch/ And when my car was far out of sight/ He crept in her room and stayed there for the night” (Twenty One Pilots lines 12-15). The demon wanted something from her- her heart. The demon was holding a torch because it was dark. This explains the setting of the song giving the time of day. The demon had to wait some time before proceeding to kill her, enough time form her protector to leave so he couldn’t stop him. He stayed
Music can be used to describe how we feel on the inside when we ourselves can’t seem to find the words. Music has the power to help us discover ourselves or remember something we may have lost. I think Paulnack is right when he states that music can bring people together. Many people like the same genres and styles and feel something when they listen to it. Music can be found all over the world and can be related to everything around us. Music has been a part of our culture since the beginning of history, it’s constantly evolving giving each generation their on form of expression. Just by appreciating music as an art from we can make connections to those who are different from
In the world today, music has become a big influence on everyone. With the power of music, each person has the ability to accomplish goals even if the music is country or rap. Most people believe that music can change a person’s mood or behavior which is true. Without music people could not control the way they act. Most music has the power to affect a person’s mood and other music can get them out of control. If music did not exist the world would be tedious. Without having music, people would not be able to motivate their moods. With the magic of music all people tend to have clear minds and better spirits. Music has the ability to put a smile on their face and a special song in their hearts. Even though most people feel confident about a special song, this can change their mind about how country music is better than rap music.
Music plays a big role in my life. I listen to it everyday. Music helps me process what emotions I am feeling that day. Emotions such as anger, happiness, depression and anxiety. For example in 2011 my commanding officer for young marines died. Then three month later my grandfather passed away. Everything felt hopeless, I was depressed and
Music is that one friend that will always be there and will never judge us. It changes and has a huge
At the beginning, music has and always will be an important thing in my life. When I am on a road trip or am doing something that takes an extended period of time, I know I can turn on Spotify and drift into my own world. Also, if I ever feel perturbed or dejected, I can listen to my favorite album and feel great again. Third, music helps me prepare for activities such as football games or school. Lastly, music assists me whenever I’m working on something such as homework or a project for school.
Music is another language people use whenever they want to express their feelings. Whether they are angry or passionate, there is always a melody for that emotion. It is universal and it brings people together. There are so many amazing artists that have a substantial influence on this generation and past generations.

Music is my life. I live, eat, sleep and breathe music. It's what keeps me alive, it's the blood pumping through my veins, it's the one thing I can relate to when times are too tough to handle. There is one particular rock group that changed my life completely, and I am fully prepared to explain why. They are called Green Day, the single most inspirationally powerful band that I have ever looked up to. I admire them for several reasons, the main one being that no matter how much each of them have been through, they still followed their dreams of becoming music superstars.
Music is an important part of this world and has been around since the beginning of time from simple rhythms to more complex tools. Music not only brings pleasure but it has also brought an understanding to people about the time periods through the lyrics and music videos created. But what about the years before music videos and before lyrics fully occupied songs. During the 1920s lyrics were at the starting line and would originally only be located in a small area of the song or would just repeat the same thing over and over again without any true interpretable meaning. To top off that there were no music videos created during this time, which overall limited the ways music of the 1920s could be interpreted unlike music from the 2000s that
“Remember the first time you went to a show and saw your favorite band. You wore their shirt, and sang every word. You didn't know anything about scene politics, haircuts, or what was cool. All you knew was that this music made you feel different from anyone you shared a locker with. Someone finally understood you. This is what music is about.” -Gerard Way. Music has been a part of our daily lives forever. It shows who we are as individuals but also unites us. Our national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner, is a song that connects every single person living in the United States of America. There are so many genres to pick from which allows everyone to be different. Music sort of goes along with Romanticism and the non-conformity part of
One of the largest parts of my life for the past few years has been music. I has been like a home and it definitely provides a connection for me. Many of my favorite songs are relatable to me in some way. They may describe an aspect of my life, or even a specific way that I feel. Having this thing that I can relate to and actually understand is such an amazing thing.
Music can play a big role in our lives. It can be remembrance of a special times and times in hardships. Music can be a language without words because it’s so powerful and you can see their feelings or emotions in that one song. That can be one way of how we can have connection with another person. It also bring us together like there is a party and everyone just sitting on the couch but when they start to play music, we grab our friends and we start to dance with new people. Music is a big part of people. A song call “Realize” by Calbie cailat play a big part of my life. The tempo of the song is slow and have sad emotion in it. This was when my family just got to America in Charlotte, North Carolina. We cannot speak English at that time but we still enjoy
Music is a wonderful thing. It is a wonderful way of getting to know someone, or even showing someone who you are. It’s a way to change the world, to make a difference because it can help people get through rough times, it’s also a great way to get your feelings out. Music is the one thing people have in common, because even though not everyone has the same music taste but we all do enjoy music in some way. All of the fame for popular artists didn’t matter in the sixties; they wanted peace, just like the people did.
I grew up listening to music everyday not knowing it would save my life in the end... the words that I would listen to would somehow connect with how I was feeling or what I was going through. Music truly soothes the soul and just somehow gives you hope to continue on or to stop something. I think I related my problems to the songs, it would give me comfort knowing I wasn't the only one who was feeling the way I once was. It showed me life was worth living and fighting for. Take Demi Lovato for instant, she was going through major depression and found herself through the music she would produce. A lot of artist are actually like this and only some really come out and tell their true story on how music saved them. It's incredible to know that no matter what you're going through someone, somewhere has gone through it too.
People say that music has the ability to heal a person mentally and spiritually. But to me, music is much more than just healing. It is a way for me to escape this world called reality and enter a world with in my imagination through the different beats, harmony, and chorus. Only when listening to music, I can truly feel all my emotions with each song having the power to make me remember, from painful to happy memories. As I grew up to be the person I am today, my music journey also grows with me. Looking back at it now, I would never want to change a single thing.
