My career ambition is to be an equine veterinarian, with an emphasis on sports medicine, at an equine hospital. I plan to achieve this by earning an Animal Science degree, then completing OSU's Veterinary Medicine program to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Throughout the course of my schooling I will continue to volunteer my time at animal shelters and work in the veterinary field to further prepare myself for my career. Barrel racing and being a member of my local FFA chapter are the most important community/school activities I have been/am involved in. Barrel racing is an important part of my life because it is something I have been doing since I was just three years old, with my mother by my side. I have owned horses all of my life
Eight years is a long time to go to school to be an equine veterinarian, but it offers a lifetime of saving horses. True one has to go to a college or university for eight plus years to become an equine veterinarian, but it all pays off in the end. It does not pay in money, but knowing that one saves a horses life, or can make their life better. This is what Charlie Scoggin was trying to say when he said “In my opinion, a salary should not be the sole means for deciding upon a job. You have to look at the big picture.” (Charlie Scoggin Resident veterinarian Rood and Riddle equine hospital). Equine veterinary medicine is not just about making money, but helping horses heal, recover, and live a better
Do you ever get a sore throat? Feel sick or hurt yourself ? Well, we tell our parents and go to the doctors. Unlike us, animals can’t tell us when they’re sick, so vets have to check for them, to if they are sick or injured.
The career that I want to achieve is a Veterinarian. I want to become a Veterinarian after I graduate college. Want to become that, because I would like to help out animals that are sick and be able to make their owners happy. I would have to go to high school and go to classes to learn about health science. Then, go to college and learn more about science so I will be able to know what is need to become a veterinarian. I will get my degree in college and graduate.
I plan to achieve my goals by working to the best of my abilities, and to participate in programs that will help me gain the knowledge I need in order to become an excellent veterinarian. I have been doing a lot of research into different program through 4H that will help me on my career path and have been applying to these different programs. I have also been researching colleges that I would like to attend, what programs they have to offer and if they would best fit my personality and career
I have shown beef and dairy cattle for 5 years. This is certainly my biggest passion. I love spending my summers traveling with my family and cows to cattle shows across the state. I also mentor young kids in the beef project, and help them get started by supplying them with a cow to show for the following year. I will be serving as the 4H president this upcoming year. I have a very busy life but I always find time for faith in my life. I became a Sunday school this past year after being confirmed. I currently teach pre-school and 3rd graders every Wednesday. After graduating from high school, I plan to attend the UWRF for my undergraduate degree in Pre Veterinary medicine. I than will apply for vet school. I hope to someday become a vet and travel out to large ranches to work on a beef farm as their vet. After traveling for awhile, I would love to come back to my hometown to serve as the local vet. I hope to someday take over the family farm alongside my brothers and keep the family farm in the family name. I hope to continue to grow my own herd of cattle as well and pursue every dream I have in the
I am writing to you today because I came across your open position for a veterinary assistant on Indeed.com. I am currently a college student majoring in biology with an interest in attending veterinary school in the near future.
During the spring break, I went back to Houston. My friend introduced me to one of the veterinarian technicians at the Sugarland pet hospital. Since I have no experience with any medical procedure yet. We just went over the basic things that other veterinarian assistants do.
My long-term goal is to become a veterinarian. In 12-15 years I see myself in college studying to get my degree to be a veterinarian. Choosing my goal was important to me because I love animals and I love caring for and helping them. Looking after their well-being and keeping them safe and healthy would bring me great satisfaction. School is teaching me how to be a strong student so when I go to college I will be prepared to study hard.
When you were a kid, you probably carried around some sort of toy that you liked. For girls it might have been barbie dolls or the life-sized baby dolls. If you were a boy it was probably little toy cars (and we all carried around a blanket at one point in our life). But for me it was always stuffed animals that hung around in my hands. I was hardly interested in the dolls and doll houses that other girls had. My mother tells me that wherever I went (and there are pictures to prove it) I always carried a stuffed animal around. Whether it be a pig, cat, or monkey, I was always holding a stuffed toy. When I was told that there was a job for caring for the animals that I cherished, I was overcome with joy, I wouldn’t stop answering the question,
A Veterinary Technician works as a skilled technical assistant to a veterinarian, or to another biomedical researcher or scientist. Veterinary technicians do not prescribe, diagnose, or perform surgery, and they always work under the supervision of a veterinarian. Thus being said, a veterinary technician career is a natural step for an aspiring veterinarian wanting to test the waters. Most veterinary technicians find employment in private veterinary practices doing traditional clinic work, but veterinary technician career opportunities are also available in other fields, such as teaching, biomedical research, and zoo wildlife medicine.
A career in being a veterinarian should be obtained by a person who enjoys caring for animals, and sometimes having to care for their owners when they have to make hard decisions. Before becoming, a veterinarian person should know the career proves to need a lot of education, but is well worth the work in the end. It is important to know a veterinarian’s regular duties, required education, and the possible salary before choosing a career in this field.
At a young age I was always at conflict with myself over my future career. Multiple topics such as baking and pathology grasped my attention but were immediately forgotten as I came across my love for animals. As I explored the many directions one could go with such a detailed topic I reached the conclusion of becoming a Companion Animal
What I want to do with my life after I get my Eagle Scout. I want to finish High school and go to college at Iowa Central. When I’m at Iowa Central I want to get my minor degree in Biology and get my major degree in Zoology. After I get my Zoology degree I want to go to Texas A&M and finish my schooling . When I am in college I want to get an internship with a local Veterinarian and work with him. So that I can learn everything that he knows and everything that I would need to know while I’m in my field of work. When I am in college I also want to take some abroad classes in Australia. So I can get some different methods of medical practices and other teachings. After college I want to move to Australia and work at the Sydney Zoo in Australia.
As long as I can remember, I wanted to do something with animals when I got older. I would dream about helping when they are in need. I have always wanted to be a veterinarian since day one. With growing up, I learned that veterinary students go through a lot to become a veterinary. Writing is very important and it's needed in anybody wants to go into. To be an animal sciences major, a lot of research papers have to be written and as well as persuasive papers.
Throughout most of my life I have had one consistent goal; to become a veterinarian. I have had a continuous and solid passion for animals in all respects. This passion and love has fueled my in striving to achieve the dreams I have for myself after high school. The beginning of this story begins long before high school though.
