My nurse preceptor today was Patricia. Patricia was an amazing preceptor with an immense amount of knowledge. I enjoyed Patricia’s passion for knowledge. She just finished her DNP. I don’t think I would have done anything differently because she was a great patient advocate, caring healthcare professional, and great at time management. I was fortunate to have worked with her today in the CICU. We had a 1:1 assignment, a 67 year old male who had a STEMI. Ultimately, he ended up needing an intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) to assist his heart. This was placed 8/31.

I’m highly interested in the RN opening in your office now available at Capital Area Pediatrics. I am a recent nursing graduate from Northern Virginia Community College. Throughout my education and clinical experiences on different units, I have obtained the knowledge on tasks such as doing physical examinations, administering medication, giving injections, and much more both for adult and pediatric care. The Explore Health Careers (2016) mentioned that the public health nurses are employed by the government agencies, nonprofit groups, community health centers, and other health organization with a goal to improve the health not just at the individual level, but also at the community level. There is a great demands of public health nurses, especially in medically underserved and low-income communities. This reflective paper will explore the significance of the issue, process of selecting stakeholders, steps after submitting the letter, and the advanced practice nurse (APN) as advocators.
