I woke up in a small room. Everything was in a uniform coat of white. There was a white curtain that wasn’t drawn. “Hey, Ace.” A lighter voice said. “Ace. How are you doing?” “Okay, I guess. Tired. In pain a little bit............. Kat. What happened?” “You don’t remember?” My sister said. I shake my head. “When do you last remember? “When I put the sword at my side and looked at the hydra.” “Well... how do I explain this. Your hair went from its normal black shade to neon green. Your dark eyes turned to a shimmering shade of gold. You had a similar gold-like aura around you.” “Explain what happened. Not what I looked like. Please. I need to know.” “Ok. You grabbed your sword and struck the hydra’s arm that was holding me. You then did …show more content…
Leave us to talk. Please.” “But, Eon...” Spyro would continue if it weren’t for the old man’s hard, cold stare. Spyro walked out his tail down. When the door closed, Eon gave me a hard stare. “If you don’t mind, could you tell me what’s going on here and what you meant?” The old man paced back and forth. He continuously scratched his beard, pondering what he would say next. “I’m sorry. I was just surprised that you were here. What is your last name?” I thought about that. Now that I think about it, my parents didn’t even tell me that. “I don’t know. I think I heard others calling my parents _________. However, no one ever called me by that name.” “Do you know anything about your past? Your family? Anything?” “No. My parents told me nothing. When they died, I was left to keep an eye on Kat. I worked my a__ off to make sure that she had the necessities and more. I love her. She’s been my only family.” “What would you do if I told you your parents weren’t actually your parents?” I laugh. Who does this old man think he is. Saying that my parents weren’t my parents! I stop. Now that I think about it, they neglected and didn’t care a lot about me. Maybe he’s right. “I’m not sure what I think about that.” “Well. It’s true.” “Why am I just now learning this?” “I can’t tell you that.” “Why not?” “It could set you up to revert back to evilness.” “I’ve been peaceful my whole life! I would only harm to protect myself, my family, my friends or others!” “I-I’m
Reflecting back on it, I was only 7 years old, who didn’t know how to respond, and the person who asked me was also only 7 years old, so they didn’t understand what they were asking. But nevertheless, these questions would stay with me for the rest of the day, and I wouldn’t know what to do with the question. When that person asked me that, I came home and ask my mom the exact same questions. Her face fell, her body went numb for a few seconds, then she turned to me and look me straight in the eye and said “We are your ‘real’ parents. Don’t let anyone else make you think differently just because you don’t look like us.”
“ I’m sorry, but I would like to know what your name is.” he said sincerely.
“I prefer you don’t beat the shit out of anything. Relax. What’s going on here? I thought we were cool? I thought we’d decided you were going to leave?”
“Wait! How did you know what I was thinking!?!” -- colored her tone. ‘Could he be a mind reader?’ Nervously wringing her hands as she inched away.
Chapter 1 is one of the most important paragraphs in the story. It introduces the characters, setting, and the background. The setting is on the Western Front in Germany during the summer of 1916, World War 1. The characters introduced in chapter one are Tjaden, Müller, Paul, Katczinsky, Kropp, Leer, Westhus, Ginger, Kemmerich, Himmelstoss, Detering, Kantorek, and Behm. Tjaden, Müller, Leer, and Paul are all 19 years old and they all volunteered for the war. Tjaden is a skinny locksmith, but although he is skinny he eats the most. Albert Kropp was labeled the “clearest thinker”, he is a lance-corporal, and he eats the most (along with Tjaden). Müller is one of Paul’s friends and was most likely a nerd in school; he dreams of exams and
“Then how do you explain all the things that still happen to them now?” Savannah then asked me now sounding implacable.
“P...Parents?” Simon repeated the word, pouting. He’d never heard it before… The man frowned, and tilted his head with a look of concern.
"No, to the contrary moreover your bloodline is distinctly remarkable. It happens that I am not your real father; your mother had you when I met her, and at the time I had the two boys. You had a physical beauty that ultimately stole your breath away, large Blue, lavender eyes, and strawberry blonde hair. I thought you were a redhead. Now look at that long dark hair, beautiful. Your as I picture an angel would appear."
“Alex, where the hell are you going?” Hercules called after me, but I had just reached the railing, immediately
My mom pats to spot next to them on the couch, but I sit down on the chair across from them. They look at each other, to me, to each other, to me, then to each other.
“Sorry, I haven’t a clue,” he answered, smile smart. “Can’t help you out, so I guess I’ll see you around,” he stood up and watched Youma carefully, but the man just sighed and shook his head.
My mother and father exchange looks and I am wondering what they are going to tell me. “So,
“Kaylie, I’m sorry, but the first question you ask, I am not at liberty to answer. Any other questions?”
“Why are you to angry?” I asked. Really confused about what was going on between the two as we walked along the walkway to the houses. “Is it about what happened in the town hall?”
I then just sat there puzzled thinking. “Are my parents really my parents?” I then ran home once I got off the bus so I can ask my mom if I was adopted.
