I was present on the September 16, 2017, the date of water damages occurrence at The Slayton’s residence. I was called by Ms. Slayton to help her with the clean-up. Upon my arrival, I entered through the front door and observed water and tissue paper covering the floors. As Ms. Slayton showed me the areas, water was above my ankle and it was still flowing from the bathroom into the bedroom, kitchen, dining area, hallway and living room. The water contained tissue, solids and a feces-like foul smell. There was no one there assisting with the initial clean-up but myself, Mrs. Slayton, Mr. Slayton, and the mother. No professional restoration or cleaning company was present during the time I was at the residence cleaning and bagging damaged …show more content…
Slayton’s mother, I heard Mrs. Slayton and the adjustor in the living room area discussing the furniture and Mrs. Slayton told the adjustor, “I made a list of items damaged that I was told to make,” and Mrs. Slayton asked about replacing items and her mother’s medicine. I heard the female adjustor tell Mrs. Slayton, “another adjustor will be in contact with you about your personal property and keep the receipts of your purchases.” Then Mrs. Slayton asked about when the repairs can start, the adjustor told Mrs. Slayton she would put it today and she should hear from STATEFARM within a week.
From the dining area, I saw the adjustor take photos of some papers at the table in the kitchen with Mrs. Slayton standing there. Moments later, I saw Mrs. Slayton walk the adjustor to the door that lead to the garage and the female adjustor left.
I witnessed the female adjustor, with Mrs. Slayton, walk in the bedroom, living room and kitchen but not the dining room area. I was present and did not hear the female adjustor at any point tell The Slayton’s not get rid of the damage items within the house and the adjustor did not ask to see photos that The Slayton’s had taken. I heard the adjustor tell Mrs. Slayton that someone else will be contacting her about personal property and I heard Ms. Slayton ask who will handle the personal property and the adjustor stated, “she did not know but they will be calling soon.”
I have agreed to be a witness and testify to what I
The first thing water reminds us of is the clear liquid in our water bottles. However, water is more than a normal substance. Water is the beginning and the continual of life on earth. Because of its many unique properties, water was able to start life on our planet. Water covers about 3/4 of the earth. In nature, water naturally exists in all three physical states of matter—solid, liquid and gas. Water's extraordinary properties are emergent properties resulting from water's structure and molecular interactions. Living cells are 70%-95% H2O
Upon my arrival I met with Henry Crumbly in reference to items missing out of his residence. Crumbly stated that upon arrival this morning he noticed that the kitchen window behind his residence appeared to have been damaged. Crumbly advised me the window was lying on the ground outside of the residence. Crumbly stated that he entered the residence to investigate Crumbly advised me during his investigation he discovered his Whirlpool washer valued at $500 appeared to have been removed by unknown person(s). Crumbly stated he no longer lives at the residence but he checks the residence periodically for missing property or damages. Crumbly advised me he is unaware of who may be responsible. Mr. Crumbly advised me he does not remember the serial
Water is an essential ingredient for the existence of life as we know it. Biochemical processes occur in aqueous environments, many of which use water. Water also plays a significant role in the process of photosynthesis ( 6 CO2 + 6H2O + 672kcal -> C6H12O6 + 6O2 ). Photosynthesis is the most basic and significant chemical reaction on earth, providing the primary nutrients, directly or indirectly, for all living organisms and is the primary source of atmospheric oxygen. Without water and its unique and unusual properties, life as we know it on earth would not exist. Water is the only substance
“Come on guys get together for a picture!” This is most likely what my mom said right before she snapped this picture of my brothers and me in the water on this year’s vacation to Silver Lake, Michigan. As we smiled I’m sure both of my brothers, Jason and Nolan, just wanted to get back to playing in the water as they were before. My dad was probably off drink in hand relaxing and soaking in the rays. Ella, our dog, though was definitely barking and being a pain in everyone’s behind. And me, I was probably annoyed at yet another picture my mom needed to take. However we smiled all happy to be in our favorite place, enjoying time together, and relaxing.
On 8-24-16, at 0700, I was dispatched to 123 Anywhere St, Fayetteville North Carolina, in reference to a residential burglary at the home of Mr. Jesse Johnson, the victim. Mr. Johnson informed me that he left for work about 2130 last night, and returned home for the first time at about 0600 this morning. He noticed his front door was open and when he entered his home he immediately saw that his 42'' Panasonic flat screen television had been stolen. After investigating further, the victim realized that his Dell laptop, as well as $1500 cash he was saving for home improvements, had been stolen. The front door of the victim’s home appeared to have been pried open with a crowbar. The victim’s residence was processed for latent evidence. No other evidence was found at the scene and Mr. Johnson was unable to give any leads to who may have been responsible for the burglary.
Water is a very important resource, every life depends on fresh water to survive. There are three per cent of fresh water of the world’s water and all life on earth can only depends on half of it. Water has become a very fragile resources because, people have damaged the water bodies badly from the use of chemicals, irrigation to household. Consequently, these reasons have severely affected the water, the environment and many lives on earth.
dense then in its liquid state and in the liquid form it is less dense
Each breath feels like it could be my last. Hour after hour I continue to dive under the ice cold water to fetch oysters for the spaniards so they can have pearls. For minutes at a time I am underwater holding my breath while I rip the oysters out of their rocky beds and placing them in a netted bag. Once I can’t hold my breath any longer I return to the surface where my owner is waiting for me. If I even show a little bit of weakness he will torture me by hitting me and ripping my hair from my head. When he is done torturing me I continue to dive underwater to get more oysters.
The boy with the fair hair lowered himself down the last few feet of rock and began to pick his way toward the lagoon. I was in the pasture when I had heard the crunching of dead leaves from the forest and a someone humming a tune. My mom said to never come down here again, but I couldn’t help myself from following the strange boy. Absolutely no one outside the tribe was allowed on the land, nor this fair haired boy I had followed. I went quietly slipped down the rock, and hung on to a tree on the surface of the lagoon be careful to not touch the water for I knew the menace of this water. He continued to walk among the soft ground gracefully and knelt down beside the water. The boy took off the bag he had been carrying on his shoulders and took out a circular container. As he unscrewed the lid he put the bottle up to his lips and gulped down what was left in the container. Hanging from the tree I watched the boy slowly start to lower his container to the water.
Have you ever gone a few hours without water? For some, the thought of not having water an arms length away which just seems to deepen one's thirst which you can’t seem to shake it off your mind until you have your next fresh sip ensuring your survival for another day. For some people around the world this is an actual problem they face daily meanwhile there are others that forget that water is a finite source as they have no lack of it. This is where inequality starts to segregate people over basic needs that every person requires on a daily basis as a means for their wellbeing and enjoyment of life. This inequality is something to be corrected as Frances Moore Lappe,Bruce Jennings et al., and the people of Cochabamba have striven for, as they believe that we need to treat people with respect and dignity instead of treating them as consumers worth the limits they can afford. We need to move the value we put on water to the people who need it. This would bring together communities for food and water awareness of a healthy and balanced diet and other sustainable practices, and it could also gradually reduce a fraction of carbon emissions as it would cut short the distance between the farm and one’s home. Measures or incentives should be into place that help water be used as efficiently as possible such as by recycling water and limiting water use to stave off farming from less developed locations which could raise the prices on the locals in that area.
Water is an essential part of life and historical it has played several critical roles across the globe. In the United States, water symbolizes the struggle for various social, economic and political achievements which occurred decades ago. It also demonstrates imperialism used to conquer several territories and illustrate the change in environmental situations and dangers such as global warming. However, the World War II portrayed unique practices and therefore, water was used in the process of war and to start various events which changed the course of the World War II. Therefore, this paper intends to discuss the importance of water and the way it relates to the Second World War and the events which took place immediately after the world up to recent times.
Domestic- this is basically the main use of water. Such as drinking water, washing clothes, dishes, cars, bathing, preparing your food, brushing your teeth, flushing the toilet, etc. It is estimated that 10% of worldwide water use is for household purposes used in every home.
The samples were collect at Fred Howard Park Tarpon Springs, Florida. All samples were collected on the Northside of the park. The research was performed on April 11th, 2017 in late afternoon. While performing the experiment tide started to fluctuate with high tide. The site where research was collected has a sandy bottoms and seagrass beds along the shore line. The impact of human activity on the research was minimal with little tourism at the park. The weather conditions while taking the samples was sunny with clouds.
Southwest Florida is seen as the crowning jewel when it comes to the beach and tourist stops. Most are only here for a few weeks or months and never really see the changes in our environment. But, recently, the water quality around southwest florida has been drastically changing. This change is due to the water being released into Lake Okeechobee. The lake which harbors brown sludge which chokes out oyster beds, kills off fish, and more harm to the wildlife in the neighboring water ecosystems (Reid). Because of the harmful effects of this water releases, many groups have come together to start to fight the releasing of water in an attempt to protect their waters.
Water quality management in agricultural catchments, generally, appears to focus on identifying and reducing nutrient losses from the root zone of intensive farming activities. In recent years, reducing nutrient loss from root zone and minimizing the impact on farming practices of freshwater bodies has taken centre stage in this debate (Clothier et al., 2007). To fully understand management options of water this study will explore the vicious cycle of how on the source, the mode of transportation and the impact on water catchments (Clothier et al., 2007). Transportation process that take place on water surfaces is crucial in assessing the impact on freshwater bodies with respect to root zone losses. Transportation process in this study
