This investigation will explore the question: Which one was more effective in attaining their goals? The scope of this investigation is from the years 1977 to 2000. It will focus on the explanation of the Camp David accords, as well as the results of the Oslo Accords. The first source which will be evaluated in depth is United Nation’s New York, The Questions of Palestine and the United Nations, published in 2008. The origin of this source is valuable because it was written by the United Nations in New York, which is a well-known organization and trusted by many around the world. Moreover, the year of publication, 2008, strengthens the value of this book because the Gaza War took place late that year. This gave the United Nations the ability to write about and analyze the wars and peace treaties involving Israel and the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization) and other countries in the past few decades. The authors had the time to analyze and collect a lot of data to form this book. In February of 2007, the UN Secretary, General Ban Ki-moon, said: “The Palestinian people still yearn for the freedom and dignity denied them for decades. The Israeli people yearn for long-term security. Neither can achieve their legitimate demands without a settlement of the conflict. This investigation will use material regarding the Oslo Accords and the Camp David Accords. The book discusses the accords, treaties, agreements, resolutions, and their outcomes. Historians who are researching the entire history of Palestine and how Israel came to be will not be very satisfied because this source discusses the wars, the steps taken towards achieving a solution for the two-state issue, and of course the rights given and taken from the Palestinians, hence this source being a limited secondary
