“Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Absorbent and yellow and porous is he… if nautical nonsense be something you wish… then drop on the deck and flop like a fish.” This silly song is heard in millions of households daily, it is excerpts from the infamous Spongebob Squarepants theme song. Spongebob is a cartoon that depicts the mindless adventures of an animated sponge named Spongebob Squarepants and his friends in the fictional town of Bikini Bottom. While this is a children’s show from Nickelodeon, Spongebob Squarepants, surprisingly offers a profound commentary on society and human interactions through characters, themes, and satire. The characterizations of Mr. Krabs, Spongebob, Squidward, Sandy, Patrick, and Plankton reflect …show more content…
Squidward is extremely not self-aware as he thinks he is talented at dance and clarinet, when in reality he is awful at both. There are plenty of people in society who have narcissistic tendencies, but in actuality have little talent, like the Kardashians. However, deep down Squidward does care about Spongebob and the others, he just likes to put up a tough front. Sandy is a squirrel from Texas who lives in an air-locked tree dome and wears a helmet and suit, so she can breathe underwater. She is a karate master and exceptionally smart. She is very much an outsider in Bikini Bottom, but everyone respects her wisdom. The characters in Bikini Bottom regularly run on emotions and make stupid decisions, so she is the rational voice among the chaos. This attribute can be seen through advisors, who are supposed to help leaders make sane decisions. Also, teachers can be represented by Sandy because of the wisdom and information they teach students and the guidance they offer. Patrick is Spongebob’s best friend, and together they partake in many mindless adventures, often to the chagrin of others especially Squidward. He has an overly exaggerated dumb persona, but is loveable at the same time. He is Spongebob’s faithful sidekick and extremely loyal. However, he unintendedly takes advantage of Spongebob, eating his food and taking his stuff. Patrick represents that one friend that overstays their welcome at your house, or always makes
Diary of a wimpy kid is a movie about a boy named Greg, and Rowley and their hardships in middle school, and how he overcomes them while trying to “fit in” the new school he makes many new friend while putting his old friendships at risk. While this movie is very entertaining, it also shows racism, sexism and ableism. This movie portrays racism by ignoring Chirag Gupta one of Greg’s friends he is a really smart kid and wants to be successful the only reason Greg and the people at school are ignoring him is because he went to India for 2 months, to make him feel bad they made him feel invisible and whenever he tried talking to him or any of the kids at school they would not even acknowledged the fact that he was present there, also they made
Upon entering the circus, Edward spots a beautiful girl whom he vows to marry. However, she soon vanishes and he never learns her name. The ringmaster, Amos, agrees to provide Edward with clues about the girl each month that he works for him. He does everything Amos asks of him, which includes sticking his head in a lion’s mouth, washing an obese circus performer, cleaning up after the elephants, and being fired from a cannon. Edward completes every task with a smile knowing that he is one step closer to meeting his future wife.
The scene starts off by Spongebob and Patrick screaming as they are being pulled out of the fish tank they are being held captive in. The scuba-diver, Spongebob and Patrick in hand, marches over to a table lit with a lamb, each step thumbing across the wooden floor. Spongebob and Patrick, the lamps intense heat bearing down on them, begin to sweat and dry up. The scuba-diver laughs menacingly. He then proceeds to take a book and close the door to the bathroom. As they lay in the gift shop, shriveling up from the heat of lamp, Spongebob and Patrick realise that they have made it to Shell City. Overcome with joy, they began to sniffle and a single tear forms in an eye from both. Spongebob and Patrick sing as loud as they can, “I’m a goofy goober,
She creates an emotional attachment to every object she finds, which is another common problem among hoarders. They will find sentimentality in random, worthless items. Ariel’s hoarding also interferes with her normal life. She ditches her father by hunting for trash instead of going to a concert she promised to attend. One of the main side effects of disposophobia is obsessing over the collection at the expense of daily obligations.

“Life is a lot like surfing…When you get caught in the impact zone, you’ve got to just get back up. Because you never know what may be over the next wave” (“Soul Surfer”). Bethany Hamilton endured a very traumatic experience in her life, and this is why she is known as the “Soul Surfer.” The difficulties she faced and overcame were truly remarkable.
Being considerate toward everybody and everything is the ideal goal that everybody hopes to achieve. Though the idea of being considerate is different depending on the person so reaching that point in the world is impossible to achieve since there is no baseline for that, we have many competing ideas as to what that could be. Some people see being considerate as being thoughtful of other people but others will see it as a deeper meaning with being courteous toward all living things on Earth and their belongings. There are so many different ways to be considerate and the readings of David Foster Wallace, Jessica Mittford, and Caitlin Doughty all have underlying messages of how people need to be more aware of what they are doing. The Breakfast Club was a movie about five very different characters, Claire, Andrew, Brian, Allison, and John Bender. Claire was a popular girl, Andrew was a wrestler (jock), Brian was intellectually gifted, Allison was a basket case, and John Bender was a rebel. On the outside they seem like very different people, in fact they were all socially opposite, but they also shared so much.
In the film The Little Mermaid by John Musker and Ron Clements, a theme that continually portrays itself is how woman are seen in society. In this film, women are defined by their appearance instead of their inner-self or personality by men and women. It also displays that woman are not treated fair. This is expressed in the film through multiple song lyrics and scenes. Ariel, the little mermaid, experiences many occasions where woman in a society are seen differently than men. In the film, Ariel was given an option to live under the sea and live life under the rule of her father, or be on land with her Prince Eric. Although this is clearly not laid out, a man figure is always above Ariel and could convey an idea that

In "Ocean’s Eleven" Steven Soderbergh did a great job as a director in keeping the audience interested throughout the whole movie time. Path-goal theory of leader effectiveness can be easily applied to the movie. The path-goal theory by Robert House holds that the leader can affect group’s performance, satisfaction and motivation by offering rewards for achieving goals, clarifying paths towards these goals and removing obstacles to performance.
Ben and Jerry’s will always have the risk in case 7-Eleven terminates its contract and stop buying its products due to low sales. French ice cream manufacturer Rolland is an example were 7-Eleven terminated their contact due to inadequate sales.
