Both genocide and propaganda were also used during The Holocaust that killed 6 million people and it was all started by one treaty, which was the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles and the economic depression in germany was used to justify the Nazis changing the laws, in hopes of fixing their government, then spread propaganda to instill fear of the Jewish population, which led the German citizens feel anger then hate and later to genocide and the final solution. But before we get into that let’s ask two question “What was the Treaty of Versailles?” and “How did the Treaty lead to the economic depression in Germany?”. The Treaty of Versailles came after the end of WWI and was meant to prevent another major world war and according to history it didn’t. Dachau, the first concentration camp which opened within weeks of the Nazis coming to power, catered for their custody. Trade unions were banned, freedom of the press curtailed, and all other political parties declared illegal, leaving only the Nazi party.
