You can see below the results of two personality tests I have taken. The results differ due to the questions asked but the personality types are similar. From me personally, I would say that I am more ESTJ than ISTJ, but I have qualities in both of them. I would guess a 60/40 split. What is interesting is that my personality of ESTJ is the complete opposite personality that would be asked of a teacher. ESTJ is the personality of someone with a supervisor position, maybe a dean or principle would be a more appropriate career for me, but that is not what I have a passion for at this time. I will not let this "most forceful" personality test result stop me from my goal of becoming an educator. Instead, I will grow from this and work with my students'
A person’s personality is his or her essence. It is what guides decisions, emotions, and even thoughts. Some may wonder if it is possible to explore every nuance of such a complex part of a being, but there are ways to determine what type of personality a person has, and then branch off into a more detailed examination of that person specifically. Combined with other factors, such as personality disorders and the environment that someone has grown up in, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, or MBTI, test (Enrichment 1) and analysis can determine an accurate portrayal of a personality. Created in 1943 by Katherine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers, it is a system made up of four basic functions and sub functions that combine to make a personality type. The mother and daughter team constructed it off of Jung’s theories (History 2). Based on this system, one of the most common personality types in the US population is called an ESTJ, and one of the least common personality types is called an INFJ. There are many differences and similarities between these two types. An ESTJ personality, overall, is practical, fact-based, and outgoing, whereas an INFJ personality is more private and makes decisions based on feelings; however, both are organized people who make good leaders and are capable of great success in roles that involve helping others.
As requested, I took the Jung Typology Assessment. The results revealed my personality to be ISFJ (Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging). The first characteristic listed is the desires to serve others. An ISFJ is loyal, sometimes taken for granted, bad at delegating, but produces superior quality work. Methodical, accurate, and possess an excellent memory are more characteristics of the ISFJ personality type. They work well in a small group and make reliable coworkers; however, they tend to be awkward in a supervisory capacity. Not only is an ISFJ a great employee but they are extremely family oriented and dedicated to their intimate group of friends. If a friend or family member is in need of emotional support an ISFJ is by their side without
The title of judge is not me, I do fit into the personality type of perceive. My thoughts do move rapidly from one subject to another. I sometimes find it hard to stay on topic if a new ideal pops into my head. I am often late finishing projects, but I always have them finished “in time”. I enjoy doing new things and am not afraid of the unknown. My work area may appear to others as disorganized, but I see it as the result of a busy mind. I do not; however, agree with all the results. It is very hard for me to concentrate with background noise. I do not like the TV or radio on, when I study. I find this to be a distraction. Although I like to talk, I am also a good listener. I often express my feelings even if it causes conflict. I would rather get the feelings out in the open than to hold them inside to grow and cause greater conflict later. I agree I have an ENFP personality. I am very much a people person. I enjoy having lots of friends and doing activities or projects in a group rather than alone. I currently work at a local pharmacy, and find that my personality makes it easier to deal with several things at once. It also helps with serving the variety of
Taking various personality tests and asking family members to define my personality, I would have to agree with what each one had to say. First, I took the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. The MBTI claims I am an ESFJ. ESFJ’s are the ones who make sure everyone is happy and cared for. They support their friends and family. Also, they are very sociable and conflict avoidant. ESFJ’s has a servant heart and are very selfless. ESFJ’s are ones who try their best to do the right thing. ESFJ’s are supportive and outgoing. ESFJ is absolutely what my personality is. My strengths are that I am loyal, good at connecting with others, I am sensitive, I have a strong sense of duty, and have strong practical skills. I am very loyal, because anyone can come to me and tell me anything and I will not tell others. I have a strong sense of duty because I love to serve others and give back to the community, because I am very blessed. There are a lot of traits that make me great at connecting with others. I am very sociable,
Well, my personality preference is INFJ which means Counselor Mystic. I tried many questions to test my personality. Some of them were like: In a discussion, truth should be more important than people’s sensitivities, you are often envious of others, you rarely worry about how your actions affect other people and many more. I gave my own opinion and I was surprised by the result because the result was true and it matched my personality. According to the test, I belong to that personality which is very rare among people. There was even mentioned my strengths, weaknesses, romantic relationship, friendships and so on. Some of my strengths were creative, insightful, inspiring and
One of the two self-assessment test that I’ve taken is the “Jung Typology test”, and it gives me my results back about my personalities. Those results are ESEP (Extraverted, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving) and these results are very accurate, because most of the time I’m very apprehensive when it comes to reality that is superficial through senses. By feelings, decision-making in concentration of individual beings, is supplementary to sensing. By thinking, prepare to pursue authorization of the unassailability of problematical making decisions. These types are the key for easy communication such as, coming up with trusting relationships and having a group of connections. The second test that I’ve taken was the Interest Profiler, and my results came out to be Social and Investigative. Social is being a helper, enjoy helping people, working in groups with others, and have verbal and communication skills come naturally. Investigative is being a thinker, enjoy learning, and prefer working on my own pace. These results are accurate, because even though I like working
Hello Classmates- The results of my assessment show that my personality type is an ISFJ, Introvered, Sensing, Feeling, Judging. So as in Introverter my main souce of energy is mainly in my own internal world. As a Sensor I believe information received directly from the external world. Feeling means that, I make decisions based on emotion. And Judging means that I organize my life and stick to a plan. Characterized above all by my desire to serve others, in a "need to be needed" way. I am often unappreciated, at work, at home, and play. I also prove over and over again that I can be relied on for loyalty and high quality work, but am also take for granted. Because of this I am horrible at delegate and would rather "do it myself if I want it done right." Although I might be treated like a doormat, I am unwilling to toot my own horn about my accomplishments because I feel that I believe credit is due, its somehow wrong to want some sort of acknowledgement or any sort of reward for doing my work.
I was able to come to this conclusion by taking an objective look at my life and how well it fits into this personality type. However, I do not hold much stock in personality tests. After taking the test in class, I took it again (twice) online and got INFJ or the Protector. I found myself agreeing with pretty much everything the results said about me, as I did with this one. It seems the traits identified in each personality type could be applied to everyone, ensuring that whatever the result, the person will agree. That is not to say I do not enjoy learning more about my assigned
A test that I recently took includes the Myer’s Briggs Personality Test which categorizes an individual as either being an introvert or extrovert, an intuitive or sensitive person, a person who feels or thinks, and someone who perceives or judges. After answering a series of questions, it was possible to conclude which categories I ranked the highest in. My results signified that I am an introvert who is sensitive and likes to think as well as judge, which can be referred to an ISTJ personality; in simpler terms, my results basically mean I am a responsible, serious and sensible person in society. These results also convey that my ideas are based off of reality and facts, indicating that I possess a methodical personality pertaining to accuracy.
I believe the TAT test sums up my desire to achieve, and that I see positive relationships of high importance in my life. These intrinsic motivators of striving for success in both academics and relationships are my top priority and the two things I am most passionate about as they increase competence, autonomy and relatedness. As an advocate for the power of education, and my deep care for others and their potential to succeed, I feel that my personality test results demonstrate reasons for being well suited for the major and career path in
I actually took the Jung Typology Test twice on two separate days and I was pleasantly surprised that the results where basically the same both times. I was a little skeptical about this personality test but when I read the description for INFJ I found that most of the information was familiar to me. In the INFJ description it states that we are generally well suited to the “ inspirational” professions such as teaching and religious leadership. I believe that I am a teacher at heart.
Practical, traditional, and organized the three characteristics of my personality. My personality assessment results gave my personality a profile of an ESTJ. As I glanced though the materials I noticed it would give insight on numerous of things, Personal Growth, as Parents, and In Relationships were areas that stood out to me. Getting my results and feeling like so far so good I was eager to find out more about myself.
My 4-letter code is INTJ, Introvert (19%), Intuitive (3%), Thinking (31%), and Judging (9%). The name for this code is “The Scientist”. It says that many INTJs end up in engineering or scientific fields. I am planning on going into some form engineering field. I agree with the introvert statement, I prefer to spend time just working on my own projects than being around people constantly. The personality page said that INTJs tend to lean to the sciences and engineering fields, and I am looking into getting an electronic engineering degree once I finish my CINT degree. So, overall this test seems fairly accurate.
First, I will like to discuss my Myer Briggs results. As I mention earlier my personality type is ENJF. I am 12% Extravert, 13% Intuitive, 44% Feeling and 28% Judging. I thinks this personality fits me perfectly. I am full of passion and charism. I take pride in guiding people to work together to improving themselves. I see the big picture. I can maintain multiple projects and responsibly
To begin, I took the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment. This assessment has been a reliable source for documenting personality and focuses on four dimensions of personality: extraversion or introversion, sensing or intuition, thinking or feeling, and judging or perceiving (Ledlow & Coppola, 2014). Based on my results, I would be categorized as ESFJ (extraversion, sensing, feeling, judging) personality type. ESFJs focus on the outside world and assess their experiences subjectively. They largely base their judgments on their belief system and on the effects of actions on people. ESFJs are literal and concrete, trusting the specific, factual information gathered through their physiological senses. They are often skilled at bringing out the best in people, and they want to understand other points of view. They are serious about their responsibilities, seeing what needs to be done and then doing it. Generally proficient at detailed tasks, they enjoy doing little things that make life easier for others. ESFJs seek structured, controlled environments, and tend to be good at creating a sense of order. They value the rule of law and expect
