Everyone wants to be treated fairly, with respect and dignity and no one wants to be discriminated against. For Christians it is important that we treat others the way we want to be treated. All individuals develop a code of ethics based on their personal values and beliefs it is important that we always act in a manner that is appropriate to our code of ethics. This paper will talk about what a code of conduct is, my personal code of conduct, Entergy’s code of con duct, and why ethics statement is so important.
Code of conduct “A code of conduct explains an organizations expectations of what is considered appropriate behavior it also states what the company expects the appropriate working conditions to be in its factories or facilities” (Gamble, Thompson, & Peteraf, 2013). Christians are called to the higher purpose of fulfilling a spiritual life in accordance to God’s will (II Timothy 1:9 New Living Translation, NLT). At the same time Christians are a part of society and therefore participate in the wealth of the economy. Although some have challenged business is morally neutral, business can be a wonderful way to bring glory to God (Grudem, 2003). This is possible when Christians apply their Christian worldview and abide by a code of conduct constructed from this worldview (Ruddell, 2004). This paper will examine the process of constructing an ethics program based on a Christian worldview.
Careful analysis of the corporate code of ethics, applicable laws, and Scripture provided clear solutions for managers to take to avoid these incidents. First, provide employees the code of ethics, train them to follow the codes, supervise the work of the engineers, and immediately correct violations. Second, take similar steps regarding the knowledge and application of law. Third, Christians must conduct themselves within the construct of God’s Word and these principles should provide an example for others to follow.
For the CRCC Code of Ethics it can better guide individuals in this certain situation. After reviewing the CRCC Code of Ethics there was several areas of CRCC Code of Ethics which could be applicable in this situation. The first section that could be applicable would be Part A section 3 of which will allow the counselors to form a limitation, rights and guidance for the client. For example in this situation the child is not adjusting to school and by forming a guideline for the student it can show how the student could better cope. The next section that could be applicable would be Part A section 4 of which avoiding harm to the client. For example this student did acquired a spinal cord inquiry and having a hard time adjusting to school however by being a recent graduate student the values and beliefs might be different versus someone whom has been on the job for a couple of years. Another area of the CRCC Code of Ethics that could give guidance would be all of section B. Since in this area of the CRCC Code of Ethics is based upon some of the most important aspects of dealing with clients which are the confidentiality, privileged, communication and privacy of the clients.
The Ethics Code is intended to support us in differentiating between suitable and deplorable behavior in regards to all individuals. When working with adolescents and children, the guidelines become a little more ambiguous. Adolescents require consent from a legal guardian in most cases to seek treatment, but confidentiality permits some information discussed from being released to the parent that requested the treatment. When working with youth the primary focus can include not only the ethical decision, but the legal and moral decisions, as well.

The Code of Ethic guides my respect of diversity in children, families and my coworkers. It is my responsibility to ensure a family’s beliefs are respected by embracing the diversity of their culture and/or home life.
In conclusion, Ethical codes of conduct are required standards of care created by institutions with individuals providing services inside of them. Ethical codes determine the behavior of the physicians and employees together, the community and their relationship to the organization. Breaking these laws can lead to serious circumstances, since these codes regulate private and confidential information. Because of a code of ethics, physicians are required to maintain a professional relationship with the patient as well as provide them with adequate information concerning them. The code of ethics and conduct is also be backed up by suitable disciplinary actions. A code of ethics and conducts helps employees deal with ethical issues and other gray areas that they face as they execute their daily activities. An effective code of ethics and conduct is required for an organization to run smoothly and maintain a positive image. Having an ineffective code of ethics and conduct is almost like having none.

Codes of conduct are policies including rules such as maintaining honesty, attitude, and respect (Traveler, 2009) for co-workers, the organization and customers. Only by separation of personal ethical choices in the work place, will an organization succeed and flourish. It is never appropriate for any employee, management or otherwise, to conduct business for personal gain. The people who become harmed lose trust, confidence, and the expectation of themselves and of the people who chose to put their personal ethical choice before the needs of the customer and business.
