A childcare provider is someone who helps the children in their community grow and develop at the appropriate stages by age. Some children spend more time at preschool than at home, and with teachers surrounding them they can be nourished, properly fed, appropriately educated as well as allowed to play and explore. Jennifer Patterson is the ECE Child Care Labs Coordinator for The College of Southern Idaho. She oversees the activities planned for the children, organizes the funding, and most importantly, makes sure that her centers are a safe place to go for each and every child enrolled. The discourse community aspect in every part of childcare is as complicated and simple as it sounds.
Striving to provide high quality childcare provisions that support children’s development to reach their potential.
My duty as a childminder is to provide high quality care for children and young people. In order to achieve this I must ensure I am familiar with the EYFS statutory framework (September 2012) and aware of ratio
I have been a qualified childcare worker since 1997 and thoroughly enjoy the work that I do, however I feel that it's only since October 2013 when I started my E100 The early years: Developing practice course that I have have truly developed as a practitioner. I have more knowledge and understanding about what I carry out with the children and the reasoning behind it. Throughout this EMA I plan to analyse the way in which I have developed as a practitioner during the past year. Currently, I work in an extended day care establishment in an urban area of Glasgow.
. The daycare and child development business is booming and profits are soaring. With more people looking at the child care field from different angles, these type of programs have more opportunities for more allies and partners, for funding and positive public relations, for improving, and “professionalizing” the programs that we offer to our children in our communities. Non-profit groups and higher education have increasingly partnered with schools, often including after-school hours.
During this thanksgiving break I met with Zurlay Rivera, a daycare provider back in Revere, MA. As stated in the National Standards for Child Day Care Facilities [2006] qualified caregivers talk, listen to and interact with children and cater for their physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs. In this regard I am expected to organize activities and opportunities for play so as to meet the full range of children’s developmental needs. I encourage all children to interact and work co-operatively with others, help them engage in all activities whilst valuing each child as an individual, and help to develop his/her full potential through inclusion and participation in various activities.
Miss Harmon has been a nanny for the last year to a 4 year old boy named Richard. She stated, “It is just like he is my son.” She said that by the time she has her own children, she is going to be well trained. As I was interviewing her; I could tell that she really is compassionate about the children she takes care of. It is like her face lights up when she begins talking about the children that she is taking care of.
Childcare is the starting point in your children 's lives. The choices you make on childcare can affect them greatly. It is when they will begin to meet the friends that they will grow up with as they go through grade school. Children need this step in their lives to adjust from staying at home, to staying with other children in a completely different surrounding. There are so many different options for childcare now a days, it is extremely hard to say which is the most beneficial for children. In this paper I will discuss the childcare decisions that my mother made for me, what to consider when evaluating childcare, and compare them to some of my references and see how they are similar and also how they differ.
I am writing this letter to recommend Shelby Steakley for a job with your Headstart Program. I have known Shelby for 17 years and have served several roles in her life to make me certain that she would be a great asset to your program. I have served as Shelby’s elementary teacher and have seen her in different aspects throughout her life. She has babysat my children as well as done work in my classroom throughout her undergraduate college years. Shelby is a compassionate individual who strives to do her best in whatever endeavor she may encounter. Shelby has a warm and compassionate character and I have witnessed firsthand that she is engaging and creative when working with children of all ages. I would personally hire her to serve as a caregiver
From birth until September of 2006 Abby remained with me at home. When I finally returned to work Abby’s primary care giver was her father, he stayed home with her from September of 2006 through December of 2006. She was then placed in the care of her aunt’s daycare from December of 2006 until August of 2008 as she then began Preschool at Precious Gems Learning Center.
I grew up loving children of all ages and wanting to be a caregiver. I was the baby sitter and nanny to the neighborhood and my church ward. When I was in High School’s it was no surprise to anyone that I chose to work in the school’s child care center. I continued working with children at several child care centers until I went to school.
