I am proud to be a Dragon. Throughout my years of being a Dragon I have learned what it means to show the characteristics of a Dragon and I will continue to show and prove my knowledge of what it means to be a Dragon even after I have graduated from the program. I feel that I live up to the Dragons characteristic of leadership because I not only apply this in my time on the field but also off the field. I am my team’s goalkeeper and therefore I need to have a good relationship with my teammates as well as a good understanding of the game. I show leadership on the field by advising my teammates of what to do during things such as corners, goal kicks, throw-ins, and more. I try to start conversation in class and I am always trying to help guide people in the best way that I can whether that be by explaining something to them or just helping them overcome their shyness so that they can express their own ideas in the conversation. This skill has proved to be very useful as it has helped me to gain a good reputation with my teachers as well as my classmates. I also think that I show the quality of teamwork in many ways. On the field I am always working with my team and helping my team to work together. I feel that if there is no teamwork within a team no work would ever be done because the team would always be arguing and therefore I value teamwork greatly. Like I said before, I work with my team to learn what I can do to better benefit our team as well as helping other know what they can do to better help our team. Without teamwork we would not be the team we are today because without teamwork our team would just be 11 individual people on a field each trying to get more goals than the person next to them. Teamwork creates bonds that help our team both on the field and off of the
Leadership is a crucial quality in both academic and corporate settings. The leader acts as an anchor of the team. He sets direction, builds an inspiring vision, and monitors the work process. Leadership can be built since young ages, which often started in an academic environment. Every group project demands a leader to help smooth out the activity, which include my ENGL 202D group project. Everyone in the team designates Stefan Horgas to be the team’s leader because he is a part of the Ice Lions club and has a deep knowledge in ice hockey field. Stefan perfectly performs his role as a leader. He not only creates and sends out work documents, but also verifies and answers any club’s related questions. His actions made the team operate efficiently
Importance of teamwork is that when a team works well together they tend to understand their team members strengths and weaknesses. Strong teamwork can benefit from the team members and I say this because they become more capable at splitting up tasks so that they are accomplished by the members of the team that are more highly qualified. If businesses didn’t have strong teamwork within their business, it could make everything a lot harder for managers of the business to settle certain staff members, whom can fulfil tasks at their incomparable standard.

I started out as a student-athlete in which I depicted great leadership skills and positive role model qualities such as diligence, enthusiasm, and passion for the sport. Hence, after my first year of college, I was named the team captain. I worked closely with the coaches, helped to resolve team conflicts, established the tone for practice, and modeled responsibility, decision-making, and a strong work ethic. I also promoted a positive attitude and team interactions, and encouraged and supported all of my teammates. Throughout my experience as team captain, I showed mental toughness by remaining confident and focus, and respond to individual and team mistakes in an appropriate manner.
Leadership is respect. Respect by others. You can't force people to respect you; you've got to earn it. A good leader earns respect from his, or her, peers. They know he is their leader and when he tells them to do something, they do it, and they respect his position. A captain deserves respect from his teammates. The respect your team has for you helps drive your team to do their
School has greatly helped me with my growth in confidence by doing oral presentations and putting my best effort into my work to continue to receive straight A’s. By being able to effectively communicate and cooperate with others allows for the spread of ideas that are needed to create a well-functioning society. My participation in sports, such as four years of lacrosse and one season of swim, has led me to have a better understanding of the positive effects that teamwork

For many years, I have been told by teachers, family, and friends that I am a good leader. Until fairly recently, I had never truly thought about what it means to be a good leader and just took it as a compliment. Leadership is an intangible concept which cannot be properly outlined in a dictionary, but one which must be formed and explained only through one’s own philosophies and experiences.

When I have to work in a team, I try to reach success with others participants in assigned activities. I do not take the role of leader or follower. I consider myself just another participator, but always thinking about doing everything right and clean. I have always had in mind that teamwork are all those actions and activities that are carried out collectively.
