Donald Trump http://www.care2.com/causes/why-donald-trump-scares-me.html can't even make America green again, let alone make it great again. The businessman seeking the Republican nomination has made a name for himself by spewing toxic hate speech that's dividing the country in half -- just look at these nine petitions that you can sign the next time Trump upsets you. http://www.care2.com/causes/9-care2-petitions-to-sign-next-time-donald-trump-upsets-you.html So we shouldn't be that surprised that his golf course is proving to be just as toxic as the man himself.
Grass Trumps Trees?
One environmental group argues that Trump National Golf Course in Sterling, Virginia is polluting the Potomac River, according to Think Progress. http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2016/03/31/3764903/trump-golf-course-potomac/

The trees and shrubs in Trump's way filtered out runoff, i.e. pollution, from urban and agricultural sources from entering the river and helped prevent erosion. The Potomac is more than just a river, it's the second largest water source that enters the Chesapeake Bay. Hedrick Belin, the president of the Potomac Conservancy, who raised the issue explains http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2016/03/31/3764903/trump-golf-course-potomac/ why trees matter:
“I think it’s pretty simple — trees are good for the environment. At least in this part of country, it’s really important to keep green filter strips in place along our rivers and streams. And so when we look at Trump National Golf Course, a mile-and-a-half long stretch of shoreline where all trees were clear-cut, it’s not going to be good for the ecological health of the nearby waters and anyone that relies on good water quality downstream.”
Despite the solid science supporting that trees are good for rivers and overall environmental health, Trump's people argue that they have a better idea. Ed Russo, the Trump Organization's environmental expert, tells Washingtonian
Imagine the sun bursting through the trees for the first time of the new day, the smell of freshly cut grass still potent to your nose as you tee the ball up for a round of golf in the cool mist of a spring morning. "That is what brings you back every time, the smell of the air, the coolness of the whether and the beautiful surroundings that make every shot enjoyable." (Suess, PI) This is the game of golf in its finest and most exquisite time to many people and many people it has touched in its long history. Golf is a lifestyle and not just games to people that are avid in playing. The game of golf has a history that is rich in technological advances and personal accomplishments, which through time has shown to shape
These great sceneries have the power to inspire a great many of people to conserve and protect the natural environment that Florida has to offer. These trees and waterways have a great potential, in that they have the ability to inspire the next generation of scientists and policy writers, simply because they enjoyed walking through the park during their childhoods. This is extremely important, as ecology directly involves how people interact with their environment based off of the knowledge and respect they have for it.
This year the presidential elections will take place at the beginning of November, and there are lots of people wondering how this is going to end. Some candidates for these presidential elections may not have been the best choice for their respective parties, but the one that really shouts, “I should not be here” is Mr. Donald Trump. His personality and actions are not the correct ones for a president because of his temper and comments against other cultures. On the other hand, we have Mrs. Clinton who is a more competent candidate; she has more experience on the field of politics than Mr. Trump who has none at all, which are the reasons why she is a better choice as a candidate and as president of the U.S.
The refuge has a long shoreline where there is a variety of wildlife, especially birds. There are picnic areas and grills and other amenities. Visitors regularly see bald eagles and other birds depending on the season. There are also hiking trails throughout the park. Leesylvania State Park is another place in the area on the Potomac Bay. It has beaches suitable for young children and kayaking, canoeing and other boating possibilities. There is a large picnic area. It’s small for a State Park, but a good place to spend a leisurely afternoon. Woodbridge also has. There are several golf courses including the Ospreys at Belmont Bay that is considered one of the most challenging golf courses in northern Virginia. It has fast greens, unpredictable winds and deep ravines, but it also has a beverage cart to help ease the
financial gain but is not best for the long-term or the trees. It is the
Tiger leads the way for every African-American who, in the past, could not enter a golf course, except to caddy, because of the color of their skin. He is truly multi-racial. It seems that he only sees the green of the golf course. On Capital Hill, there is discussion of the "Tiger Woods Bill", which proposes to give multi-racial citizens a multi-ethnic category in the eyes of the Federal Government.
(211-16) says the Once-ler. He is driven by the money. He wants more and more and is willing to demolish the whole forest if that’s what it takes to make more. For instance, the ADM (Archer-Daniels Midland) is a threat to nature because the processing of our food pollutes the air. But who cares, if it’s more money for them right?
Will Donald Trump fulfill America’s request and actually “make America great again”? When friends of mine who are Trump supporters inform me that they support him, I don’t understand the reasons why they picture him as our future president of the united states. Donald Trump has never been an elected official. He has never been elected into an office of any kind. He’s never had to broker political compromise or gave any political speeches prior to him running for president. With no experience in politics at all, why would people think he’d make a good president? Sure, Donald Trump is a barefaced self-promoter and experienced businessman. But people don’t realize all of the mistakes he has made as a businessman. Washington, D.C., is not a type of Wall Street or anything for him to lose money or make some reckless decisions that would put our country into a deeper hole that we are already into, and also getting multiple things done within the nation’s capital takes more than a huge personality and a strong will. If Donald Trump is elected to be our president, he’ll have to quickly learn how to deal with his Democratic associates in the House of Representatives and Senate. He’ll also have to get used to the pace of government because there are moments when things can accelerate pretty quickly and also where things can move extremely slow at times. He’ll also have to get used to giving speeches on topics
This was sacred land to them and was where their ancestors had been buried, and they did not want to see more land being used for a golf course, as one person had said:
One of Donald Trump’s big advantages now is that he has so many awful associates. No matter what appointees he foists on us, there’s always another pal who’d have been worse. If he names some federal land-grabbing oilman as secretary of the interior, people are going to sigh with relief and say, “At least it isn’t Sarah Palin.”
I believe in not planting trees. No, not in the sense which would deprive us from oxygen, rather to stop planting trees to mask the image of industry. We mow them down and then plant them again. Not the ones that naturally grow there, but those that come from a far away land in order to form the illusion of the “White Picket Fence Society”, which is obviously a place that values diversity.
From the very beginning of his campaign trail, Donald Trump piqued America’s interest with his blunt and oftentimes shocking statements. With his candidacy came exclamations of making America great, building walls, deporting illegal immigrants, and keeping jobs in the United States. A Google search
The Issue of National Park conservation has become a widely controversial issue today. With the National debt reaching 17 trillion dollars some politicians think it is alright to either sell off national park land to commercial foresters, miners, and even foreign nations or to just close some parks entirely to make up some of the national debt. They are completely unaware that the parks arent just a “pretty area of land for tourists”. Many cities depend on the parks for their well-being. A quote from a local newspaper in California supports this “National parks don’t boast concession stands or charge tax, but data indicates they bring in millions of dollars to local economies each year”(Tree). Supporters of cutting the parks include big CEO’s of major companies and some of them not even in this country.
I am appealing to you as a conservationist. I believe that the natural resources of the forest can be of great help to us. As we experience this oil and gas crisis in the US, we are forced to import oil from foreign countries. Thus causing the cost of
The Wilderness Society’s Governing Council states that “No other ecosystem in the world can store as much carbon as do these forests, and it’s a capacity they have not yet begun to reach” (Bert5). Trees are very important to all of the living species. The cutting down of the trees is now nearly 4 billion trees or 35% of the total trees cut around the
