Each of the jobs requires a great amount of hard work, dedication, and varying skills and abilities depending on the tasks they are performing. Each of the different jobs conducted within our charitable organization include task identity, each worker must complete their specific portion of work from beginning to end, to then pass it on to the next employee so in the end they are all able to see a tangible result. Each of the jobs within our charitable ogranization include the first three core job characteristics, having skill variety, task identity, as well as a high level of task significance.
The five employees working at our charitable agency have the ability to affect the lives of many families, and even the ability to change people’s lives and get them the help that they need. Our agency has the ability to affect the lives of other people in a positive way, which leads to intrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation occurs when the employees have positive internal feelings that are generated by doing well, rather than being dependent on external factors like incentive pay or compliments from the boss, leading to motivation to work effectively.

According to researcher Lindner (1998), motivated employees are needed in our rapidly changing workplaces to aid in the survival of organizations. Not only is it important to meet the needs of the consumer, it is equally important that to make sure that associates are taken care of and remain motivated. For this reason, Gibson, Ivancevich, Donnelly and Konopaske (2012) “states much of management’s time is spent addressing the motivation of their employees” (p. 125). Despite its obvious importance, employee motivation can be an elusive quest for managers due to the multiplicity of incentives that can influence employees to do their best work. The reality is that every employee has different ways to become motivated and the knowledge of how to motivate them is key to organizational success. I am able to help the clients with their needs and I am able to inform them. In the past, I have use my willingness to help people to help my neighbors mow the lawn and I use to deliver the newspaper. I also explained in the first paragraph how I was a hard worker and this is true. In the summer of 2013 I had to deliver the newspaper. Although at the time it was hot and I was very tired I still delivered the newspapers. I believe if you put in hard work, you will feel a rewarded and I was rewarded at the end of the summer when I got paid for my service. I support extrinsic motivation because I have seen it work well in the lower grades of the school I currently work in.
