The purpose of this study is to identify the accuracy of FBI criminal profiles, to evaluate the effectiveness of the released profiles, and to analyze the most useful aspects of the criminal profile. The data collection and analysis that will form the foundation of my research will be a qualitative procedure that will answer the following questions: How accurate are FBI criminal profiles? How effective are the FBI criminal profiles? What aspect of the FBI criminal profile has most contributed to the apprehending of the criminal?

The FBI is huge when it comes to policing and what all happens when the FBI deals with a crime scene. “The FBI is an intelligence-driven and threat-focused national security organization with both intelligence and law enforcement duties. Since the FBI is so big they cannot focus on their investigations all the same way, they have to break them up and go about each one different. “The FBI has divided its investigations into a number of different programs, such as domestic and international terrorism, cybercrime, public corruption, civil rights, foreign counterintelligence, organized crime/drugs, white-collar crime, violent crimes and major offenders, and applicant matters” (FBI, 2016). The FBI’s investigative views put importance on close relations and information sharing with other federal, state, local, and international law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
This is only a brief description of the duties of the FBI which also consists of investigating bank robberies, white-collar crimes, and organized crime and drug syndicates. Good afternoon Janet. I also enjoy spending time with my family. Family time is one of my top prority to do and it is fun. My daughter is a handful, but she always makes me smile. I have visit Colorado Springs and it was beautiful. There is so many mountains and the climates is unpredictable. I will love to get station in Denver, Colorado, but I hope the weather is not to cold. My fututre goal is to get a college degree and work toward becoming a Federal Bureau Investigation Officer. I never own a horse, but I have family members that own one in Puerto Rico, but it must be difficult to maintain them. I am looking forward reading your posts throughout the eigh weeks.
As a Detective, their job is to serve and protect the law all costs. There are many factors that play into being a protector of the law, and its honorable citizens. When you think about detectives, what is the first thing pops up in your mind? Detectives must work in sometimes tough situations depending on where they get assigned. Now police, patrol the street and keep a look out for traffic violations while the Detectives go out into the field and try to dig up facts to help solve the case that they are assigned to.
