Michele has over 26 years of experience playing the game of tennis, 5 of those years coaching all ages and levels in tennis, basketball and soccer.
Michele was born in Washington, DC and raised in Burtonsville, MD. At the age of seven, her love for tennis developed after participating in a tennis camp during the summer. Along with her twin sister Renee’, they continued attending camps and receiving lessons in Hilton Head, SC during summer vacation. Upon entering high school, Michele became a Panther for Paint Branch High School, where she was a star tennis player. She recently received her certification as a 10 and under coach through the United States Tennis Association. Michele continues to participate in leagues and tournaments in the Washington, DC area and win. She enjoys teaching sports because she is afforded the opportunity to not only help others reach their goals through athletic player development, but to continuously give back to her community. She feels that tennis is a great outlet to not only maintain physical fitness, but to meet people and build lasting friendships.
Off the court, Michele partnered with her twin to publish their first children’s book, “Have you ever!” She also manages and coordinates events with her business partner, Yolanda Mike of Bcreative Events, LLC in Germantown, Maryland.
People often wonder how Michele has time for so many things and she attributes all of her successes, accomplishments and life experiences to the blessings bestowed to her by God; the encouragement, love and support of her parents, Paul Campbell, Deltona, Florida, Carmen Campbell, Columbia, Maryland; support of her children, great relationship with her twin, brothers and other close friends. Ms. Smith reported she grew up in Colorado Springs and was primarily raised by her mother. She shared that her parents separated when she was an infant and has two brothers, one is incarcerated in Colorado for distribution of a controlled substance, and she is unaware the location of her second brother. She has 2 children: Isaiah, 8, and Angela, 4 years; Isaiah lives with his father in Washington and Angela resides with her maternal grandparents. As a Professional Tennis Coach I want my students to be the best they can be in tennis, i use that mentality to try their hardest in everything they do. I also want to create future tennis pro’s, by training them everyday they can develop their game to get at least a college scholarship.
I asked Emma Nuzzi what she thought her biggest accomplishment was, she replied with “I would say becoming a very good tennis player.” Emma Nuzzi started playing tennis at age twelve, which she thinks was a late age. When Emma was in the seventh grade she told her gym teacher that she wanted to play tennis she then replied to Nuzzi with “Maybe.”, this did not encourage Emma at the time because her gym teacher was the varsity tennis coach. Emma did not let this get to her too much because she practiced and became the player that she is today.
I went from being one of the best players in New England to middle of the pack at a top academy. My classmates are from all over the world, including China, India and Venezuela. I work hard to keep pace, dedicate extra time with coaches and appreciate the structured time for our academic classes. These experiences have helped me to learn more than the game of tennis: balance, commitment, nutrition, preparation and teamwork. Winning the Girls 14s National Tennis Championships gave Natalia Kochkodan the chance to make a difference in the world and she jumped right onto that opportunity. In the 18 years that she has lived since the win, she has created a non for profit organization that assists disease stricken children in playing sports, has donated over 10 million dollars to several children’s charities including Ball For All and Project Fit
From a very young age, I have loved being involved in sport and fitness. My earliest memories all involve me running around with a ball or a bat of some kind either in my hand or at my feet. My love for physical activity has remained and since then, I have becoming increasingly interested in coaching and the more theoretical side of sport. This has inspired me to pursue a career in physical education and coaching.

As I first joined the Prince George’s Tennis and Education Foundation tennis team, I was extremely pleased with the environment. I was met with friendly individuals and warm personalities from my peers and coaches alike. The coaches were exceptionally supportive, and I maintained a healthy, competitive relationship with my peers. Dinahlee Martinez has a loving personality. She puts others before herself and makes sure everyone around her is well. She is funny, outgoing and can be sensitive at times. For the amount of time we have live with her, we seen how a good of a mother she is. She never gives up on us. She continues to push us in every way. She currently lives in Bloomfield, New Jersey. When she is hungry and wants food from the cafeteria in the student union building, she gets oreo ice-cream and a cheese burger, sometimes even two cheeseburgers. Her mother, Noelia, makes good empanadas and she loves them as well.
I played in 2 French Opens and 2 Wimbledon Tournaments. When I was 25 years old I married my first husband, John Lloyd. After 11 years of marriage we got a divorce. For the next three years after I got divorced I took some time off and I didn't play in any tournaments. Then I had had enough time off, I played in the Australian open for the first time and two years later I played in the same tournament again. In 1983 I was elected president of the Women’s International Tennis Association, also known as the WTA. 3 years later I suffered a really bad knee injury and wasn't able to play tennis for a couple of months. Overall I was the WTA president for 8 years. In 1988 I played a on the U.S. Olympic tennis team which was my last tournament ever. That year I also married my second husband, Andy Mill.Andy and I got a divorce in 2006 then 2 years later I married Greg Norman but we didn't last very long because we didn't know much about each other in the first place. Once I retired in 1989 I was involved in my family tennis academy that we started in 1996.
