I interviewed Mr. Dan Hartung, the vice president of First Step Prosthetics and an orthoptist and Prosthetist. I found Mr. Hartung by searching for prosthetic clinics and labs in Kentucky. First Step Prosthetics was the closet on I could find and it was in Bowling green Kentucky. I called First Step and talked to the receptionist. The receptionist then talked to Mr. Hartung, who agreed to let me interview him. I step up the appointment with the receptionist. I would interview Mr. Hartung on Wednesday February 3rd at 2:00pm. I arrived at Bowling Green 45 minutes early because I wanted to allot for any traffic and trouble finding the office. I then arrived to the meeting 15 minutes early. I waited until Mr. Hartung was done with his patient and …show more content…
My written strength was that my questions were of a wide variety and that most were connected to the question before them somehow. My verbal strength I think was speaking clearly and calmly. I did not rush through the questions and I would often ask him questions about things he said that I didn’t have written down. My visual strength was sitting calmly. I didn’t fidget or do any nervous gestures. I also had weakness in each category that hindered my interview a little as well. My written weakness was not using vivid words to ask questions. I asked the questions without any metaphors and sometimes examples. My verbal weakness was that a couple times I thought Mr. Hartung was done so I would begin to ask the next question but he would interrupt me and finish answering the question. So, next I time I interview someone I will make sure I give them plenty of time to answer and elaborate on their answers. My visual weakness was not making eye contact enough because I had to write down the answers. I think I would have done better if I taped the interview and wrote down the answers after it was
My biggest strength is my adaptability. I always try to have an open mind when I meet others who have different views than me. I see the option for learning in my failures, and always keep in mind my end goal when things don’t always go as planned. My biggest weakness is that I always like to be in control. I like to have a plan, and stick to it. I will overcome this weakness by trusting others to take lead, and stop worrying about things I have no control over.
I interviewed Charlie Hart who is an Athletic Trainer at Marvin Ridge High School. This is his third year as an Athletic Trainer at the school, and he also teaches classes during the day there as well. During the interview, I gained lots of helpful insight about the Athletic Training Profession. I first met Charlie Hart because I had a semester internship with him during my senior year of high school. I really enjoyed the internship, and learned a lot about the Athletic Training profession.
My strengths are my self-confidence, determination, organization, and ability to prioritize. Balancing an overloaded school schedule, upwards of 24 credits in a semester, maintaining excellent grades, raising a toddler, and volunteering are demonstrative of my greater fortes. In terms of weaknesses, public speaking has always been difficult for me, as well as networking. I have branched outside of my comfort zone, engaged in volunteer opportunities, student organizations, and clubs as an effort to improve upon this.
Over the past few days, I have spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with Public Relations professionals in the greater New York area. All of the PR professionals I talked to are in the pharmaceutical field. I choose this field because I find the health care industry very interesting, and I am specifically concerned with understanding how drugs enter the market.
Firstly, when it comes to my strengths in writing, I do not believe I carry many. Of the few I possess, my word selection is a constant advantage for me. I try not to settle for undereducated vocabulary. I see this as taking the easy way out and I do not believe I learn from this. Another one of my strengths when it comes to writing is my adequate spelling. Accurate spelling is strongly in my nature. When I am reading I can sense when a word is spelled incorrectly. My final strength in writing is organization. I believe my work is clear to follow. This is important so I can get my message across to my reader. Although I am solid in these aspects of my writing, they
Reflections on your personal strengths and weaknesses in terms of leadership and communication. Knowing how to advocate for clients by being assertive is a personal strength. By standing your ground, making needs known, and willing to present a subject that may be uncomfortable makes it a personal strength. Determining when to and when not to advocate for clients is a weakness. As an advocate you should be prepared to advocate for the clients wellbeing. Being able to negotiate is a weakness. Negotiation allows the employer to see how much of an asset you are to their organization.
I do not have very many strengths in English and writing. My strengths in English and writing are organization, sentence structure, and developing a position. I am good at organizing my papers and essays because, to me, if they are not organized in a sensible way the writing sounds choppy and incoherent. Sentence structure
The usual way was to log onto a computer (if not in use); look for the patient and quickly skim the patient’s history, resulting in wasted time. The result was a flow sheet that was easily accessible, located in front of the patient's bedside chart. The flow sheet included pertinent information from the patient’s last two hemodialysis treatments. We received positive feedback from the staff, and the flow sheet was adopted in the unit. After one year, the project was reviewed and continued to receive positive

Like every human being, the same way I have strengths; Also, I have weaknesses. The weakness I need improvement is my interviewing skills. My interviewing skill is one of the reasons I
Strengths: Well organized, multi-tasker, I love a challenge, detailed-oriented, and can adapt well to change.
The strengths in my writings have stayed consistent throughout the year. One major strength in my writings is my use of detail. I sometimes tend to over explain things but I have gotten very good at taking things that repeat out of my writings, which makes my writings very detailed. Another strength in my writings is my correct use of commas. When I was in elementary school I commas were my favorite type of punctuation and I used to put them everywhere in my writings but now I have learned how to actually use them. One of the last strengths I have in my
While I definitely have more strengths than weaknesses, I do consider myself to have three weaknesses in my attributes. My weaknesses would include: Impatient, Shy and Reluctant. When working on a project, I can become a little impatient if the other group members are not pulling their weight properly or waiting till the last minute to do things. According to Melody Fletcher’s How To Overcome Impatience article, “Impatience is a response to fear”. I have a strong desire to control not only the outcome, but also how that outcome will come about and being impatient causes stress for myself because of the fear of failure. It can be somewhat irritating to work so hard on a project to have other group members conduct themselves in a manner that is unprofessional or not up to our higher education degree standards. I have managed to work on this weakness by knowing that every individual works at a different pace and levels of proficiency. I can be pretty shy when working in a group setting. While I try not to be reserved or nervous, I tend to sit back in listen during the first few group project meetings. I have worked on this weaknesses over my time at Full Sail University, by being more proactive in the group setting and taking control of either being the
The strengths I have: being efficient and organize. I have to have everything a particular manner before I write, perform, or do almost any jobs. Occasionally this can cost me lots of time. The weaknesses that I have are a perfectionist and impatient at times. I was used to working at a substantially faster rate than those around me. Sharing information and interacting with others is when I learn best. Understanding my weaknesses assists me to plan methods to conquer them when I am doing tasks and socializing with others. I must be kinder to myself and less strict about matters being merely so. I also need to be more delicate and comprehensible of others who tend not to take up my perfectionist styles. I also should be patient with people who take longer time to work. Since I have got a tendency to delay works when I do not feel like doing anything, I, therefore, need to create a regular schedule with integrated rewards and times for learning and acquiring assignments done.
