The two Sheriff Departments that I am going to compare are Fond du Lac County Sheriff Office and Dane County Sheriff’s Office.

To be hired as a Deputy Sheriff you need to be a good outstanding citizen. Meaning you can’t be a convicted felon. Also you must be able to perform the daily jobs as a deputy sheriff. Such as handling stressful situations, being able to use your law enforcement equipment, have a drivers license, and be able to communicate with others. This job is a full time postion. For this job you will get paid $25.74 - $29.81 per hour. This amounts to $49,420.80- $57,235.20 per year!

To be a deputy here you must be a U.S. citizen. Also be alt east 21 years of age. Have great speaking skills and vision. Your daily job will be like any other deputy. Meaning you will enforce laws and public safety. You can’t be a convicted felon being a police officer. Another thing is you need to be able to use all law enforcement equipment. Before you apply you must have at least 60 college credits or an associates degree. This job salary is 47,546-78,984 per year!

When you go for your interview you will have many examinations and interviews to go through. These consist of medical and vision examinations. There will be drug screenings and background checks. Also you will have exams to take. Before you get hired you must live in the State of Wisconsin.

When I look at both of these I would say Dane County Sheriff’s Office is the best choice. You can make more money here. Also there job interview seems really in-depth they make sure to pick the best candidates. By getting hired here makes you feel like your hard work has truly payed
