The story Garden of Eden introduces the first man and woman that God created. He put the two of them in a garden where they did not have to provide for themselves. God said everything that was in that garden they could use to their abilities except the tree of good and evil. Everything was perfect until Eve let the Devil bribe her into eating from the tree. Once God found out, he came to the garden looking for them. When they heard his voice they hid. Here is where the alienation comes in. God had everything set up for them that they did not know they were naked. Once they bit into the apple they realized they were naked and clothed their selves with leaves. So, Adam and Eve left the Garden as God said.
Adam and Eve had to work hard to get food since they disobeyed God. As they start growing old they started accepting that they were going to die someday. Adam and Eve knew the difference between good and evil because of the choice they had made earlier in the Garden. Adam and Eve were not always happy so God gave them commandments. God said to pray to him and make a sacrifice. Adam did just that and killed and burned an animal on an altar of stone. An angel came to Adam and said Jesus would sacrifice his life for us someday. It would be his gift to us. Adam and Eve had many children. One of their sons was named Cain and he had worked in the fields. Cain loved the devil more than he loved God. Adam and Eve then had another son after Cain named Abel. Abel took care of the sheep as his job. Unlike Cain, Abel obeyed God’s commandments. Cain was angry at God and Abel. So, one day, while they were in the fields Satan told Cain to kill Abel and he did.
God knew what Cain did, but still asked Cain where Abel was to see if he would lie or tell him the truth. Cain did lie. Cain told God he did not know where he was. God told Cain that he knew what he had done. Cain then begins to explain to God that Satan told him to kill his brother. God punished Cain for what he had done. So, Cain, his wife and some of his brothers left to go live in another place because he could not be with God anymore. The number of people began to grow
