After watching the video about Gardner intelligence I would say I have a bit of each listed below. Visual-Spatial: I am aware of my environments, I like to salve puzzles and I am a daydreamer. For example, everywhere I go I have a habit to learn what is around me and I pay close attention to people. Puzzles, I enjoy puzzle such as crossword, and Sudoku. Now, I often daydream about luxurious lifestyle like owning a beautiful home with beautiful flowers and vegetable garden and nice cars. Musical: I love music I believe most of us do, I love the rhythms and beat that come with the music it’s a beautiful thing. I think I study a lot better with music. For example, if I am studying and listening to country music which I love it helps me to ease
I believe my mathematical studies are complemented by my third A level - music. I hear and see music in numbers, and my approach to playing or singing is similar to the mindset I use in maths.
I am a student who is devoted in academics and my family. In addition, my other passion is singing and playing instruments. Singing has been a big part in my life growing up. It taught me how to comprehend music and it helped me develop the English language. Music uses words that are poetic that can communicate with the listener in a deeper level. Obtaining music in my life has grew my language skills and
I think that music is so universal that it can be used in any area of education. Music is
Music is an integral part of who I am. To say that I am interested in music would be an understatement, as I am constantly growing in my passion and talent for music.
Music: it is beautiful in many different manners. I'm many lives and cultures, music plays an essential role. I am Hispanic, and since i am bilingual my family and i listen to both Spanish and English music. Music plays an important role in every culture and in every individual's life just like it affects mine.
Music gives us a language that cuts across the disciplines, helps us to see connections, and brings a more coherent meaning to our world. I started my interest in music when I joined band in middle school, playing trumpet and then switching to French horn, a more complex instrument, in high school. Upon entering college, I decided I was going to give up my passion for music and focus on academics. However, during my first semester as a Pre-Med student, there was something significant missing in my life; music.
The one thing about music though that really captures my interest is the fact that it can provoke and produce so many emotions in someone. As someone who has a rather hard time expressing themselves, music was something I could turn to in order to understand and better
Jazz and classical are my favorite genres of music. I am especially passionate about making music on my saxophone. I have participated in marching, symphonic and jazz bands for the past 7 years. I like having family game night with my 2 older sisters and my older brother. I am attending BYU in the fall and plan to serve a mission in the near future. Other interests of mine include science and math, which is why I would like to become an anesthesiologist.
My intentional major is Vocal Music Education. To me, music drives any experiences that life throws one's way into a series of carefully depicted categories of emotional expressions. My personal favorite is singing, but I still quite appreciate the value of instrumental music as well. Music has developed through the centuries with mighty composers such as Handel and Bach, along with hundreds of others that dwindled their ideas and separate life activities into words or elegant pitches, simply swirling these into a piece that may or may not be sung or played for thousands of years to come.
Music connects all the communities of my life, ranging from the exuberant, fast-paced tempo of Bollywood and Bhangra music to melodic harmonies while singing acapella tags. As a child, music ruled my life as I learned how to read, speak, and count numerical values. Singing in the car and singing along with songs helped me develop my ability to articulate and understand language.
Classical music and medical school helped to discover my inner self. I learned to sing classical music when I was young. For me, to sing and listen to music is the perfect way to relax. To be the first doctor in the family was a great responsibility and I appreciate my parents for their excellent support.
Which of Gardner’s eight intelligences, as described in Table 4-1, are depicted in this video? How do specific students within the video illustrate these intelligences?
Though I don’t necessarily have a favorite style or band/singer I enjoy all sorts of music. If I had to choose some of my favorite styles of music I would definitely say rap, pop, hip hop, and R&B. I enjoy more upbeat music but I could really listen to most music. I think music is one of the things that really helped me with my success in school because my parents always say to me “if you can remember a whole song you’ll have no problem memorizing things for your tests.” I personally believe music really strengthened my memory because I can remember any song within a week word by word. It is sort of a challenge that I try to accomplish in my spare time. Recently I have started trying to memorize a Spanish song which is a lot more challenging but, I believe I could do it with enough time. For me listening to music is really relaxing and is almost like an escape. Each song has a unique story and a different beat and style it’s just really nice to be able to kick back, relax, and put on a nice song to listen to. Music is a pretty big part of my life though I might not always notice it, it has really advanced me as a person and
This means that when I am working on something and find it to be easy, I am most likely using a more developed intelligence; musical. Considering my learning preferences and teaching styles, I can say that I prefer to listen rather than reading. The teaching styles I like include; lecture with group discussions, detailed presentations, etc. When I think about the two, I see a connection made based on the auditory sense. I prefer to discuss and hear people and things to stir up different ideas and suggestions, so I'm not stuck with my own opinions. With music, it helps me focus and come up with new ways around things, just like class discussions. Interpersonal; my second best preference, relates to the teaching styles to, both help me interact better with different people in groups to get the most out of the current topic of
Music, it's a part of everyone's life. From childhood sing-a-long songs, to garage grunge music, and everything in between music is everywhere. Growing up with an extremely musical background it was in my genes that I would become a musician. Playing music has helped me become the person I am by being a release for my anger, broadening my future and make new friends..
