Many sports are equal across genders with only a few changes here and there; this is not the case with Lacrosse. Lacrosse has been played in the United States of America since the Native Americans were the only people to inhabit the States. It was a game that originated as a ceremonial ritual in the Iroquois tribe. Since then, lacrosse has evolved into the sport we play today; but instead of lacrosse just being a men’s game, women play now, too. However, the men’s and women’s lacrosse team have evolved differently, with almost everything about the two games being different.

If you hit the ball you run to first and try to get there before the defense players throw you out, and if they do then you're out, but if they don't you're safe and you get to stay on first, and then the next batter is up.

As society progresses, homosexuality becomes more prevalent and people become more comfortable with the subject of sexuality. Homosexuality is something that has dated back to Greek times, but just in the past 50-100 years has become more common; not that homosexuality did not exist, just that more people are becoming more comfortable and coming out. Gay and Lesbian people are all around us, weather it be the work place, schools, and specifically athletics. Many coaches, players, and athletic directors are gay and are becoming aware of the double standard and homophobia that exists in the heterosexual world, most commonly at the collegiate and professional level.
