The whole purpose of this competition was for Mr. Janosek, the teacher of the Culinary Arts class to teach his students how to improvise, to demonstrate the students’ communication skills, and to work well with the teammates in each students group. I talked to Miss Pond to get a better incite on the competition. Miss Pond is a young lady in the class in group six and she felt as though “(put in a quote)”. Along with Miss Pond every other student in the class where striving to win the prize for having the most unique Ginger Bread creation. The prize was a Dutch Brother’s card for each student in each group that won

On Victoria Day, I made my family a small meal consisting of salad, tomato soup, chicken pot pie, and cookies. Albeit simple on paper, it was much more difficult in practice. For one, I am a terrible chef, so making a four course meal was not the easiest of tasks. I even prepared the soup and cookies a day in advance, but even so, it was very tiring and many problems arose. For example, only until the day before had I realized that they did not like cheesecake. So I had to make do with what I had leftover in my kitchen and made some very cakey cookies. Another incident occurred when I was making my chicken pot pie, I realized that I had bought the wrong dough. Rather than buying puff pastry, I took bought biscuit dough. Having missed a key
“I can not wait to finally be crowned the Apple Blossom Queen. Today is going to be perfect. I woke up, ate pancakes for breakfast, and had tuna for lunch. It wasn’t hard to be nominated for Apple Blossom Queen because I am the prettiest candidate and also the most popular. None of the other girls ever had a chance,”I whispered to myself. Suddenly, I began to feel sick. “Oh No!,” I screamed. I vomited everywhere in the cafeteria. “It was the tuna fish,” I gasped miserably.
In the novel Bread Givers by Anzia Yezierska, the characters have conflicts of family agreement. Members of the Smolinsky family have issues with getting along. Anzia Yezierska bases the Smolinsky family off of the 1920’s in Lower East Side New York. Sara and Reb Smolinsky have many of the same characteristics, but they end up having different causes due to their dissimilar perspectives. Reb and Sara show different perspectives while Shena’s funeral is occurring, when Sara visits her father, or when Fania and Reb discuss the idea of getting married.
The 1920s was a hard and painstaking era in American history. Many family's throughout New York lived in absolute poverty and saved week to week just to make enough to eat and pay the rent. Many Immigrants flooded the streets desperate for work while living conditions were harsh and many starved. This is just the case of the novel Bread Givers, written by Anzia Yezierska. In this story we follow Sarah Smolinsky, an ambiguous independent Jewish girl "trapped" by her religious traditions. Her story unfolds as she breaks away from her controlling parents and moves to work and go to school for hopes of being a school teacher. Her life is not easy and she must endure countless sacrifices just to get by. With the determination of
Have you ever woken up to the sound of gunshots outside your house or had no right of getting an education because of your gender. Working at Panera Bread is awesome, from getting free drinks whenever I want to getting 50% off my meals when I’m working and taking home free mac and cheese. Typically, I work every Saturday or Sunday at Panera because I can’t work during the week because of soccer.
During this activity, the students will look through a recipe book, which I will provide. They will chose a recipe and prepare it. For example, if they chose to do a fruit salad they will chose four different fruits let an adult cut them up and put them into a bowl.

Panera Bread began in 1981 as Au Bon Pain Co., a fast-casual bakery and café chain, founded by Louis Kane and Ron Shaich. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the chain grew along the east cost of the United States and internationally. It dominated in the bakery-café category. In 1993, Au Bon Pain Co. purchased Saint Louis Bread Company, which was founded by Kenneth Rosenthal. At this time, the Saint Louis Bread Company was in the midst of renovating its 20 bakery-cafes in the Saint Louis area. The concept’s name was ultimately changed to Panera Bread.
Some of the advantages of my solutions are: the bakery will be able to maintain current operations with room for production expansion, moving to one larger location would eliminate the need for two locations, the bakery can convert existing product in to new retail market that will result in higher profit margins. Expansion will also allow the bakery to look consider and extension of their product line.

Teaching in a multicultural society is difficult, it’s a balancing act, you have to be able to help the students from other cultures be able to easily integrate into a new society and culture, but you also don’t want to make your students from another culture lose their sense of identity. There’s no solid answer for how to maintain both of these at once, it’s incredibly difficult. The fictional novel White Bread by Christine Sleeter shows us how fifth grade teacher Jessica Westerfield attempts to keep this balance while also dealing with a tumultuous marriage and finding herself. I was not a fan of the novel, I thought that it’s lesson was predictable and one that was lacking evidence for it’s actual effectiveness as the book was fictional, although I want to state that I do agree with the lesson in that it is important for students of other cultures to have their cultures be represented in the classroom and not squashed by ours. I would have found the lesson more valuable had the book been more realistic, and had less fluff, such as the flashback chapters to the 19th and early 20th century. The final big complaint I had with the book were the characters, they seemed less human and more corpses on strings putting on a grim masquerade. That being said, I did get sucked into the story, and agree with the message it was trying to convey, however fumbled it was. First, however, I’ll write about the realism.
There have been abundant amount of times where I have been called fabricated, mean, goodie goodie, teacher’s pet, or stupid. While some of these might be true, they certainly aren't all true. I do consider myself to be a good student and I try to get all of my work done and never get in trouble, but I have forgotten to turn work in, or just forgot to do it in general. When I think of a goodie goodie, I think of someone who gets all their work done, gets 100% constantly, never gets in trouble, and pays attention in class. I don’t consider myself to be a teacher’s pet either. I do like to do what the teacher asks but I consider that to be a good, responsible, cooperative student, not a teacher’s pet. I don’t consider myself to be fabricated,
