Although the increased movement of people, food, and manufactured goods can have negative impacts on public health by providing a sort of highway for the spread of infectious disease, in contrast, it can also have a great positive impact. This movement can also include the increased ease of movement of people like doctors and engineers that can help to improve an otherwise cut-off region, the availability of fresh foods to areas that wouldn't normally have access during certain times of the year, and the increased east of movement of manufactures goods such as medicines. Our simple mom and pop farms are unable to naturally provide the worlds population the food needed. Genetically modified foods have been linked to sick, sterile, and dead livestock when tested on lan animals it damaged every organ in the animal. GMO stands for genetically modified organism. This organism is almost the same to its natural counterpart, but its DNA has been mixed with a bacteria of some sort to create a new crop with natural pesticide. While it may be the answer to feed the world, GMOs are destroying humanity because that GMOs produce is harming all types of other living organisms, may create a new virus, bacteria or bug that is immune to pesticide, and they can cause cancer and tumors.

Many people around the world ask the question What are Genetically Modified Foods? Well Genetically Modified Foods also known as GMO’s which is an genetically modified organism, it can be a plant, animal, or microorganism, whose makeup has been modified using DNA methods.  This creates unstable combinations of plant, animal, bacterial and virus genes that do not occur in natural crossbreeding genes. A recipe or ingredient is classified as high-risk if it uses another source from/of or is produced through a process involving organisms that are known to be modified. High - risk GMO foods are: soy; cotton; sugar beets; corn; animal products; canola and much more. Animal products such as milk, eggs, honey, and meat are also considered as high- risk, because of the GMO’s in their feed they consume.

GMOs have unexpected health effects. According to Foodmatters.tv, “In many investigations involving GMO-fed animals, there have been cases of underdeveloped organs, reproductive problems, accelerated aging, and even death.” In fact, about 98% of the genetically modified soybeans are fed to livestock and used in food ingredients such as lecithin. I once watched a video clip about a boy who died from e coli 057 because he ate a hamburger. The cow was fed genetically modified corn. I believe that nobody should have their health harmed after eating a GMO product.

World Hunger is a huge problem these days, innocent people starving for food, wondering when will they have their next meal. But how can farmers and scientists work to increase the World’s Food Supply and end World Hunger? Recently, the FDA is considering GM salmon from Aqua Bounty Technologies and this process is already in use in the agricultural field. People have debated whether or not they should allow GM foods since the establishment of GM crops. After reading “Can GM Foods End World Hunger” By Joe Smith and “Better Than Nature?” By Sally Jones, it is clear that GM Foods will increase our World’s food supply.
