GMO is a genetically modified organism, which is a process to try and form a better product. Most organisms that are genetically modified are agricultural. Many everydays foods such as, corn, squash, and milk. Some may wonder why we have GMO’s. What the sticker on the Wheaties box that you had for breakfast this morning that says organic means that there was no alteration to the product. This large increase in population will put a major strain on industries to keep up with rising demands for the basics of life; food, water, and shelter. Which industry will be hit the hardest? Agriculture. The agriculture industry is responsible for feeding the world. As the population grows they will have to maximize yields of their crops while continuing to produce top quality products desired by all citizens.
