If you do not set goals or achievements for yourself then, you will not be successful in life. One major goal that I set for myself is to be elected at the ROTC program at Colts Neck High School. Unfortunately, it will not be an easy goals to achieve. It is going to a long bumpy ride until I reach my destination. However, if I study hard, complete all of my school assignments, and get antoshining grades then, I can find a shortcut to make this ride shorter and maybe even smoother after all. Also, participation is one of the main keys to achieving this goal. I make sure that I participate in class and in after school activities such as track and field and basketball because then my teachers and my coach could recommend me. This single goal persily will overall make me smarter and a hardworking student by the end of the year.
Some goals that I have set for myself are finishing my bachelor’s degree and get a good job that I

The process of setting goals is so crucial since it helps to motivate yourself to turn your vision into reality. The first step in setting life goal is observe yourself. One must choose a goal which attract them and can make them hang on it for longer term without hesitating about the amount of time need to be spent.
Bo Bennett once said, “A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward the achievement.” Generally speaking, everyone has dreams that they want to obtain someday, but those will never come true if they don’t do anything. For the most part, there is a variety of goals someone can have. Some people want to be celebrities, professional athletes, doctors, lawyers, and some people don’t know exactly what they want. I personally want a promising future. Most of my education has been developing for something better. For example, I went to preschool to be prepared for elementary school, which prepared me for middle school. In a few years I’ll go to high school which will prepare me for college. Everything I do in school leads up to one thing. That one thing for me is getting a scholarship to William and Mary. Achieving that goal is something I have aspired for, would make things easier for my family and I, and would make my future more clear.
Setting smaller goals towards your big goals helps. In my case, my first goals would be graduating high school and getting accepted into college. Also, another small goal is applying for scholarships and financial aid. I plan to do job shadowing in the spring, which will help me get a better look how my future will be. Not only that, but if an unexpected turn comes around, I might explore a new career I would want to go into. It’s baby steps to reach my goal. The exciting part of it, is there are so many opportunities and challenges out there to explore and
By having goals, you then prioritize them and work towards achieving the most important tasks in life first. This is going to be about my goals in life. What I plan on doing with myself. The goals I want to accomplish in the next several years are to graduate with a GPA between 3.5 and 4.0, get high ranks in JROTC, and enlist in the army.
Setting goals is the most important thing you can do in your life. Without goal's you are going to have no direction, no ambition to be successful, no drive to stay in school, and trouble finding a career that will provide for you. Without these three things, achieving your goals is going to be one of the toughest tasks in the years to come.
Goals are very effective for motivating performance in the workplace. Setting high, specific goals typically results in higher performance compared to setting low or non-specific goals (Locke & Latham, 2012). Given goals’ influence on performance, scholars have examined factors that affect the level at which goals are set. This research has primarily focused on self-set goals and not assigned goals. Self-efficacy, an individual’s expectation for his or her success in a specific domain, has been shown to influence self-set goals. Individuals higher in self-efficacy tend to set higher goals for themselves than do individuals lower in self-efficacy (Bandura, 2012). Although, to my knowledge, it has not been directly examined we might expect to see a similar effect for assigned goals. Meaning, when goals are assigned, goal setters are likely influenced by their stereotypic judgments and subsequent expectations for a targets’ ability. These expectations can come from a variety of sources, including stereotypes associated with the goal target’s group. For example, competency-related gender stereotypes often lead to the expectation that women will perform worse than males at most tasks (Biernat & Kobrynowics, 1997; Wood, 1987; Wood & Karten, 1987). Therefore, given that assigned goals are likely based, at least in part, on expectations and that those expectations are often driven by stereotypes one must question whether the

One goal that I seem to have not truly focused on has been my college education. Considering all things, I decided I needed to focus on my college education. The first thing I needed to accomplish was to enroll in an institution for higher learning. Now that my enrollment is complete, I am an official student at the University enrolled in the undergraduate program for business management. As a student at the university, I now have to set personal goals so that I will be successful in my endeavors. My personal goals are to gain personal growth and development and graduate from my undergraduate program in business
