It is extremely hard to choose what you want to do for the rest of your life at only age 17, but Keystone High School tries to make it easier for their students. Keystone High School requires you to have this career research done for you to be able to graduate. There are a lot of steps involved in getting your final essay done. Like gathering information throughout different websites, interviewing a person in that field, and writing a huge essay about what we have decided on our lives. During our phase one of the career research project, we had to look for what we do in our jobs. Phase two we had to go out into the real world and interview or job shadow someone already in that field, so that makes us be able to make a better decision. But …show more content…
I found 3 great programs, one only being 4 hours away in Williamsport. The colleges I looked at are Pennsylvania College of Technology, Purdue University, and Philadelphia University. So I will break down each college for my decision. To start off, the Pennsylvania College of Technology costs around 15,810 dollars for just tuition per year. But with a meal plan, books, and supplies included it will cost around 21,100 dollars without a place to live. Pennsylvania College of Technology also provides around 200 different scholarships as long as you don’t break any rules and you stay above a 2.5 GPA. Also they try as hard as they can to make College affordable for us so they provide lists of other scholarships not provided by the school. There job placement is very high and they help you find employment after school as well as during so you can gain on the job experience. Above all that the campus is located about 4 hours away from Knox, Pa so it 's not to far to come back and visit. ("Admissions & Aid.") The next college I looked at was Purdue University, it is located in Indiana so it is my less likely choice. Tuition for a out-of-state student would be around 28,800 dollars per year. That is a whole 18,800 dollars more than a in-state-resident. With books, supplies, travel, and misc. the grand total will be around 32,000 dollars without boarding. Purdue University doesn’t have very many of their own scholarships, they provide around one hundred scholarships to people
I have been going to school since I was four years old and, that means that I have been attending school twenty to twenty two years, including kindergarten, middle school, high school and now college. As every student, I had my ups and downs in school; I had some failures and some successes. One of the failures that affected me the most and that I will always remember was the time that I was in high school during my junior year. I failed almost all my classes and, I only passed two classes and with a C. In the other hand I had some really good success. The most recent one and the one that I am still happy about is getting my Family Development Credential. We learn from our mistakes and also from our successes, these two times in my life
So far, all throughout high school, I have done my best in school. I strive to get the best grades I can. There are many opportunities out there, college related, that many people out of high school don’t have. I make sure I take advantage of these opportunities because all the hard work will be very rewarding in the end. During my sophomore year of high school, I had the chance to get into a four-year program that would have me take college classes while still in high school. Also, I would be able to job shadow different careers, practice interviewing skills, and get an internship. By the end of this program I would have an associate’s degree and have developed very useful skills necessary for a career. This whole program would be free.
As we prepare to enter high school, students choose their classes in alignment with their dream jobs. The process can be tough, as many variables involved with careers will change by the time we are prepared to enter our fields, and college is a more complicated step in between. In order to best navigate the storm of career preparation, it is wisest to base our decisions on our skills and interests rather than the appeal of a “cool” job. Through the College Foundation of North Carolina, we can navigate through every step of the process based on scientific data through surveys. This report explores my personal recommendations as I go through the CFNC process.
During the last three years of my attendance here at Mt. Edgecumbe High School, I could not think of a teacher who has influenced me more than yourself. You’ve taught me to not only appreciate music, but to appreciate life. I’ve spent a total of four semesters in your Choir class and one semester in your Accounting class. We’ve traveled to two music festivals through Choir class, which are two of my most memorable experiences here in MEHS. I’ve also been apart of the MEHS award-winning Radio Club under your supervision. You’ve certainly witnessed my development as a maturing adult. It would be an honor to have a letter of recommendation from a teacher like yourself. Thank you for making my high school years enjoyable. If you choose to write
Hello everyone! My name's Ally Ward and I'm a senior at South Stanly High School. Currently I'm taking CCP courses with SCC, so that I'll have two years under my belt when I start college. I plan to attend Gardner-Webb University this Fall and major in English with a teaching license. After I receive my major I plan to get my doctorate in English and then get a job as an English professor. I also love to read, shoot archery, ride horses, and spend time with my family.
So … snaps fingers … wow! This is a lot of people. Well, first off, congratulations everyone; you all made it this far. Hopefully you will be able to make through this speech. According to page ten of the Chisago Lakes High School Student Handbook, all of you have earned at least 28 credits in a variety of disciplines throughout the last four years. And for those English nerds out there, I do have a properly formatted works cited page if you would like to fact-check me. Don’t worry.
High school ended, as well as summer. I was on the plane ride back from vacation to start college. I was in the tight and rigid economy section, while my sister, my father’s only princess, was enjoying herself in the luxury of business class. But that wasn’t the issue. I can’t say that I was fueled with excitement starting this new chapter in my life. I mean why would I be, I was on the honor role all of high school, took Ap’s, captain of all sports, manager, president of the student athletic council, I was even an assistant to the principle for large school events, and yet I couldn’t get into the school that I was most interested in, the Grove School of Engineering.
The DASH I hope to leave behind me would be meaningful and significant if I could make an impact on this humble, close-knit community of Horn Lake. For my actions to be remembered, it would indicate that I truly made a difference in the town in which I grew up; and after having forged the greatest friendships and memories for which I could ask here, leaving a mark of me would be an honor. This is why, as I embark on the next step of my life and head off to college, I have chosen to remain in Mississippi for my choice of school: I will not be straying far from my family, my friends, and the community I have known and with which been blessed my entire life.
As our favorite childhood author Dr. Seuss once said, “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” We gather here today to celebrate this moment of graduating from Sutton High School. Although this day will soon become a distant memory, the valuable moments that this class of 2016 has experienced are unforgettable. From the very first moment we walked through the high school doors, to the last time we shut our lockers for good, we all have to face a truth, whether we want to or not, everything eventually ends.
Going to the twenty fifth annual rivercrest high school class of twenty nineteen reunion, excited and nerves. I’m excited to catch-up with everyone and see what they have made of themselves. Ready to talk to my old school friends and even see a few of my old teachers.

Welcome all to the graduation of the Hadley 8th grade class this year. I want to begin by saying a big congrats to the graduating students of 2017 for making it through all the bumps and swerves in this winding road we have had in these past three years. As I begin, the thoughts run through my head of how our time here had one terrifying beginning, memorable end, and a middle consisting of lots of late nights, rushed mornings, different kinds of distractions, and tests many forgot to study for. Every year I spent here I gained a little more independence, and became all that much closer to who I am today. So today we are celebrating us, and all the milestones we have achieved in our adventure here at Hadley Jr. High.
High school is supposed to be the place where you have fun and a time in your life you’re supposed to enjoy. Movies often trick you into believing that high school is an amazing time in your life and there is nothing but parties and fun. In Bring it on, they portrayed the fun and exciting part of high school cheer-leading, however they intentionally leave out the tough times high school students’ face in school and in their practices. In other popular movies, such as High School Musical the students have no pressures other than the next basketball game. In reality, this doesn 't happen. The constant pressure is affected by the grade level you are in. In high school, students can be classified based on the pressures that are faced in each grade level into the categories of freshman, sophomores/juniors, and seniors. I am here to help you make your high school experience less stressful.
