This research paper will be about group dynamics in organizations and group behavior pertaining to effectiveness with debate and scientific research. This research paper will see which is more effective groups or individuals in an organization. We will attempt to determine what true answer is and which one will have a scientific proven effect. According to Kreitner & Kinicki (2013), Organizations behavior is an interdisciplinary field dedicated to better understanding and managing people at work. Organizational behavior is the study of factors that have an impact how people and how is will respond to certain situations to include groups, individuals, how people act, how they respond, how they think and how people feel. The Hawthorne study used would have been referred to as the field study because the data gathered was taken from groups of employees within a workplace environment. The field study also looks at how groups and individuals behavior has an impact on the overall effectiveness of the organization and being able to gain the knowledge to improve the behavior. The Hawthorn studies focused on the employee’s conditions when their working environment was surrounded by positive conditions and they enjoyed the interaction with their coworkers. It was found during the study employees were motivated by their environment then they were with money. The method of study I would use would be the Organizational Behavior (OB).
